PREFACE SUMMARY
My wife and I were scheduled to visit a Miracle Life Church in Gensan, Philippines, where I was asked to deliver a sermon. For three days, I prayed and sought God's wisdom for the message I would share with the church.
While praying, I had a strong sense in my spirit that God desires to speak to us about the end times and provide us with a message of hope, direction, and comfort.
While preparing for the sermon, I heard a voice in my spirit saying, "The Cutting Edge of Possibilities." I started to title this message, "Living on the cutting edge of possibilities," but the Lord spoke in my spirit, "Divine Interventions in the Fifth Dimension."
The fifth dimension is a realm where time seems to stand still; it is a space with five dimensions, including the fourth dimension of time used in relativity. It is a realm that can override the laws set in place to govern this planet, causing them to give way to God and His word operating through His chosen vessel in this realm.
Jehovah God, is not bound by the laws governing this planet? Sometimes, He will allow His most incredible creation to cross into a spiritual realm where spiritual law can and will override natural law, all for his cause and purpose.
God placed no limits or boundaries on how far we may go in the Spirit, and it is in this realm that time seems to stand still. Yes, in this realm, the laws and elements that govern this planet must give way to God and His word, operating through His chosen vessels.
According to the Cambridge Dictionary, "The Cutting Edge" refers to the most modern stage of development in a particular type of work or activity.
I believe we live in the end times, and God has a plan for our lives. We need to redeem the time we have left and trust God to guide us through any challenges we may face.
May this message encourage and inspire you as we unite in unity and harmony to step out in faith, realizing that we not only need to redeem the time we have left, but we also need to take our limited human thinking, which tends to measure everything by our common sense and take that step of faith to believe that God had a plan for our life before He created the world; therefore, if He brings us to it, He certainly can bring us through it.
"WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER"
(Mark 2:3-4) (3) "And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four." (4) "And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay."
(John 15:1) "I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman."
Dear reader, notice these scriptures for they are very important in the delivery of this message, and they are very special to me for when I was first called into the ministry, I received an invitation to speak in a large Baptist church when upon receiving the invitation, made a trip to visit my grandfather who was a very well-known minister of the gospel.
My grandfather quoted (John 15:1) and (Mark 2:3-5) to me and explained how they are related. My grandfather taught me that just as Jesus is the vine in God's vineyard, God is the vineyard's landowner and caretaker. We are entrusted with doing God's work on earth, but need help and support to achieve this.
He took me aside and quoted the above verses to me and said that he felt like that would be where I needed to start studying, and when I asked him to explain, he began to speak to me about how Jesus is the vine in God's vineyard, and Father God is the landowner and caretaker of this vineyard.
My grandfather went on to explain the story of the man who was lame in his feet and how his four friends had compassion on him and carried him to Jesus. He used this story to illustrate how we need to help and support each other in doing God's work, just as the four friends carried the lame man to Jesus when he could not get there on his own, we need to realize that we need one another.
Can you use your imagination and picture the scene of the meeting in this house and remember that God's word alerts us that it was known that the Lord was in the house causing the people to come from everywhere till there was not enough room for anyone else to get in but when these men heard that the Lord was in the house, they decided together that regardless of the circumstances, they were going to get their crippled friend to Jesus?
I often wonder, and I ask you to imagine what was going through the homeowner's mind as they watched pieces of their home fall around the people there, maybe thinking, "I did not know that letting Jesus in my home was going to get it torn up?"
Can you imagine what nearby neighbors thought hearing noises coming from this house, maybe thinking, "did the former owners sell their home without telling anybody, for we have never heard anything like this before?
Dear Saints, little is much if God is in it, and the bottom line is we need to stop allowing the natural to be a measuring stick for the supernatural, for our God is not limited or bound by the law of physics, nature, or time.
I remember on another occasion when I was preaching in a church, and just as the Senior Pastor handed me the microphone, somebody started a lawnmower next door. I was so upset that I closed my bible and walked out the church doors to preach to the person operating the lawnmower.
As soon as I stepped outside, the Holy Ghost descended upon me, and I began to preach. To my surprise, ninety-nine people from the church followed me out, and we continued the service outside.
I was so high in the spirit that I was blurry in my vision, but I remember drunks coming out of their homes where I was preaching. I even remember one of them looking up at me with his whisky spilling out of his glass because of his shaking hand. Despite the flashing of blue lights from the police cars, they never stayed around.
Now, more than thirty years later, while ministering in other countries, I have been informed by the Spirit of God that I am in the last stages of training for where he is taking me. We must remember that little is much if God is in it, and we should not limit or measure the supernatural with the natural. Our God is not bound by the law of physics, nature, or time.
"LAUNCH OUT INTO THE DEEP"
(Luke 5:4-5) (4) "Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught." (5) "And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net"
To better understand the scriptures, let's study John chapter twenty one, where Jesus restored Peter's ministry. In Luke, notice how Jesus asked Peter to let the nets down again, and Peter obeyed despite catching nothing all night. He said, "At thy word, I will let down one net again."
In the story of Naman, the leper, he almost missed his healing by suggesting better ways to get healed after receiving instructions from the prophet to dip seven times in the muddy Jordan River.
The message here is that although we may be limited by earthly laws and try to make sense of everything, including placing limits on others, we should never forget that our God is limitless.
Like Peter, we may be experts in our field, yet the memory of witnessing a miracle causes us to respond to God's command. The miracle demonstrated to Peter and the men with him was that the fish got into the net by obeying the word despite seeing it as a trap.
Beloved Saints, let us keep our faith in God and obey His word, and we will witness more miracles in our lives, and even if we don't get it the first or second time, let's keep believing in God, who is not limited by time, power, or grace to provide what we need.
The bottom line to this message is, "we may be limited by the laws that govern this planet, and we may be running around trying to make sense out of everything including attempting to place limits on others, but our God is not bound by our limitations" and just like Peter who informed the Lord that they who were professional fishermen had fished all night and caught nothing, the memory of what he had witnessed in being with the Lord, no doubt caused him to respond to the Lord's command to let the net down again which resulted in one hundred fifty three fish getting in the net.
The miracle demonstrated here to Peter and the men with him is "here is a man that knows nothing about fishing, asking professional fishermen to launch out of their comfort zone promising them some fish but beloved notice that it is now daytime and although the fish can see the net which is a trap, "the word speaking the command and Peter obeying the word, caused the fish to get in the net."
I am convinced that if we will step out of our comfort zones and cease to understand everything that does not align with our doctrinal traditions by placing boundaries on it, we will not only see more of our prayers answered, but we will see more breakthroughs and healings in our services, therefore if we do not get it the first, or second time, may we keep believing God who is not limited in time, power and grace to place what we need in our net.
"LET GO AND LET GOD BE GOD"
This entire message from God's Holy Spirit is to take God at his word and know that, although we may face difficulties and attacks from the enemy, God promises that we will not have to face them alone.
This message reminds us that we live in a time when sin seems everywhere, but as believers, we have access to the power of God's resurrection and endless possibilities. We should not dwell on our past but look to the future and draw strength from it.
The bottom line to these promises is realizing that he never promised that we would not face difficulties, including weapons the enemy may form against us; however, beloved, he did promise that they will not prosper, and we do not have to face them alone.
I begin this part of my message thinking of when I was barely six years old and got caught on an air mattress by the tide, which pulled me so far from land that nobody could see me but God.
Several people had tried to teach me to swim, but I could not get the hang of it. Saints, out in that ocean, there was a massive wave, without warning, that scooped me from my raft of safety.
I remember fighting the water and seeing an outline of the little yellow air mattress, which caused me to pray to my grandfather's God not to let me drown, beloved; I was able to fight my way to the raft, but it was a hard time getting back upon it when a wave picked me up, allowing me to get on board.
I locked my legs around it and, while praying, started doing backstrokes, which landed me safely back into my dad's arms, who had nearly drowned trying to swim to me.
This was my first encounter with God in a dangerous situation as a young boy, but years later, just a few months ago, in April 2023, my wife and I took a vacation in Boracay, Philippines, a popular tourist resort with white sandy beaches.
It was on this vacation that I decided to attempt to swim again, for it had been more than forty years since I had been in a pool, and I just had to go back out in that ocean and commune with the awesome God that had preserved my life in the Atlantic Ocean.
I noticed that as I swam out in deeper water, a calmness came over me, and I could sense the presence of the one who had used me so mightily in services throughout the world speaking to me in a whisper, "Jerry, just relax and enjoy your swim, and let the water carry you."
It was then that the book of Ezekiel came alive in my spirit as I swam with God, remembering that the prophet spoke of the Angel, showing him a stream of water flowing out from the temple of God, which was at the ankles, the knees, then the loins, and notice that the word of God states that the messenger led him through the water until he reached a point where the water was so deep that the messenger let him go, and to go further, he would have to swim.
Notice that when he began to swim, the writer informs us that the water became a river that no man can pass over, which gives us an illustration of the depths of the Spirit of God, which makes glad the city of God.
When we reach this place in God, just like when He came to me in Boracay, Philippines, we need to place our trust in Him and quit fighting at the water, (Spirit) relax as we allow the water to carry us, for He knows the plans He has for His people to make our life count and bring us to a good end. (Jeremiah 29:11)
In summary, notice that once he learned how to allow the water (The Spirit) to carry him, the guide once again led Ezekiel back to the brink of the river, and when he got back to where he started, the scenery had changed, for there were trees (growth) on both sides of the river. This could be seen as the ministries, churches, schools, etc., that God entrusted to your hands.
MY CONCLUSION
Throughout God's Holy Word, we will discover that He likes to use someone who will step out in faith and believe Him for the impossible, such as Joshua, who prayed a prayer that stopped the universe in its tracks for a whole day, which gave us our leap year.
The bottom line of this message is for us to have confidence that God knows the plans He has for us, and although there may be times when He seems distant from us, just like an airplane caught in a dangerous storm, the tower has it on the radar.
God's Holy Spirit is armed with God's plans for our lives, and He is waiting for us to believe that He is and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. Therefore, let us remember the words of the Apostle Paul, who admonished us to look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, for if He brings us to it, He will certainly bring us through it.
God's Holy Word states that those who come to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder to those who seek Him. For the word of God speaks volumes that without faith, beloved, His word says it is impossible to please Him.
God's Holy Word declares that in the last days, his people will do exploits, which means "a bold or daring feat." Better understood, those who take him at His word and step out in faith beyond their comfort zones will be able to believe Him for any need or circumstance they may encounter.
As Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, God has plans for us—plans that are filled with hope and a future. He always seeks what is best for us, guiding us through life's challenges and leading us toward a fulfilling and purposeful life.
(Jeremiah 29:11) "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
To experience the fire of God once again in our churches, we must be willing to discard our methods, including our timed programs, attempting to measure everything with our standards, and give God's Holy Spirit room to move.
If we are to experience the power of God in our services, we must first experience it in our souls, which will require us to get past our fleshly acting and begin to realize that we need one another, for we are all part of his glorious body.
We are better together, looking like one body to the hurting world, instead of a bunch of lost body parts for our beloved. We need to influence the culture around us, but at the same time, we do not allow the culture to influence us, and we will experience the accurate fire of God.
May we be used by God to become an influence that will bring change not only to our generation but also to social, spiritual, and economic changes to the world we live in, that will affect future generations for the glory of God.
In summary, when we see our ship on the horizon, let us swim out to meet it, for our destiny is chasing toward us as fast as we are running to meet it, and remember, your miracle ministry will be as great as what you are willing to walk away from. Therefore, may we make it a point to realize that "some people are made to walk on what others are having to swim through."
