Soul mate originates from pagan mythology. The person who was made just for you, perfect in every way, physically, emotionally, spiritually… the one who completes you is a soulmate. The truth is our soul mate is simply who we marry. According to scripture when we are united with our spouse, we become one flesh. The only way this is possible is through biblical marriage, a marriage that is built on the love of Jesus Christ. God has created someone who fits perfectly with you and He works out your destiny to bring you together. In the bible, the wife and husband are seen as the closest due to the intimacy shown among the two. The story of David and Jonathan shows a strong friendship. Deuteronomy 13:6 — which states, “…thy friend, which is as thine own soul.”
King Solomon married other more wives who bring about confusion concerning how one perceives soul mate. Marriage is solely termed as a long-term convent, and in this regard, the spouse is said to be the soul mate. Mark 10:5–9, it poses that marriage joins together two different fleshes — a man and a woman to form one flesh. Therefore, the one flesh is what is referred to as soul mate.
Believers are commanded to not marry outside of the faith…that is they should not marry an unbeliever because God has said that we are not to be unequally yoked. (2 Cor 6).
Marriage is designed to be a lifelong relationship. Marriage is a God-ordained institution that was created to be like Christ’s relationship with the bride and both are to submit to one another in love and always regard the other as better than themselves. Marriage is a wonderful thing if you marry the right Godly person, followed by truth as the foundation of marriage. Just the appearance of being marriage or marriage built in the foundation of lies, secrets and fraud, married yet living like roommates or housemates is not true marriage neither God ordains and values such marriage.
God makes glorifying marriages by empowering a man and woman through the Holy Spirit in them to love each other as Christ loves the church ( Ephesians 5:21–33). Union of two beings becoming one in spirit, soul and body.
Scriptures teach us, God’s love is what completes us (Col 2:10). Christ is our true soulmate, the one who saves us from our sins, who solves our greatest problem and rescues us to be with Him forever.
“Man looks on the outward appearance but the LORD looks on the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7). the Holy Spirit becomes our “soulmate,” giving us the desire and boldness to be different in order to please and glorify God. hen we are complete in Christ, He guides us into His plans for us — “his good, pleasing and perfect will” (Romans 12:2).
when God designed marriage, he had a plan in mind. His plan was to mirror His intention of becoming one with man. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife, And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but ONE flesh. Mark 10:7–8
Our marriage on Earth is a symbol of our ultimate marriage to God as his spotless bride. As we are called to follow Jesus, we leave everything we’ve ever known and cleave to Him.
And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. Matthew 19:29
Only God can complete us. He’s the one who makes us truly happy and this happens when we choose his ways above ours.
The one who says soulmate exists, I would like to say this The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9–10
Soulmates don't exist. The Satanic soulmate doctrine has spread throughout churches seemingly undetected. It's because Satan is using camouflage to make his deceptions appear to be of God. Satan and his demons are responsible for starting the soulmate doctrine. Soulmate doctrine doesn't line up with God’s Word. Satan came up with this soulmate idea because he knew it would deceive many people…his goal is to destroy family…and even prevent it. Satan is using the soulmate doctrine to destroy the family. 1st Timothy chapter 4:1 says…”Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons”
2 Corinthians 6:14): “14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?”
Pricilla and Aquilla, as mentioned in the new statement, were close friends not as soulmates. A husband and a wife are soulmates in that they are “one flesh”, spiritually, physically, and emotionally united to each other. True soulmate oneness is only possible by implementing the biblical pattern of marriage. We have one Soulmate, and that is Christ! To make someone else your completer makes them an idol by putting them in the place of God.
We can choose to love our neighbor, our work colleagues, and the stranger in need; because they are our brothers in faith/humanity, however, love is made up of degrees; and that love will naturally be quite different from that reserved for the one we marry according to God. This doesn’t apply to all marriages which has been married with evil intentions.
