The Spirit of the Age
Preparing for what’s coming!
Sunday, 5/21/23 & 5/28/23
Something that amazes me is that there are many in the church today who believe that prophets and prophecy are no longer relevant or active in this era of the New Testament, and that they ceased operating like they once did in the Old Testament.
From what I can determine, I believe that there has never been a time when there were as many prophetic voices as we hear today. We are nearing the end of the age of Grace, preparing for things to happen and we are on the fast track to the Second Coming of Jesus.
It’s evident also that the world is one track, leading to destruction; while the True Church that’s making ourselves ready for Jesus’ coming is on a parallel track that leads to revival, spiritual awakening and overcoming power that will increase until we are taken out of this world to be with Jesus.
Both of these “tracks” are revealed in the prophetic word of God, and both are pre-destinated and pre-determined in the perfect plan of God for the deliverance of the redeemed and the judgment of those who are determined to live in rebellion against the Lord.
While many in the world live as though they are ostriches with their heads stuck in the sand so they can’t see, or refuse to see, that judgment is coming, the church, those that believe in, and worship, and faithfully serve Jesus are waiting for his coming. Some are looking for the rapture, while others are getting ready to endure the tribulation while being faithful to the end, when Jesus comes again.
Though theologians of the church often disagree on the idea of a rapture with some believing in a Pre-Trib rapture, some in a Post-Trib rapture, and some don’t believe there’s going to be any rapture at all, whatever each one believes will not change the Truth. It will be according to God’s own word of prophecy, and that’s why I believe in and teach the Pre-Trib Rapture.
There are many who will try to interpret the scripture and allegorize everything, meaning that none of it is literal and it’s all wrapped in stories that tell truths from a roundabout method. There are others who believe that it’s all spiritual symbolism, nothing but types and shadows, and that few, if any, of the prophetic words in the Bible are meant to be taken at face value, but that truth is hidden behind a veil which we must break through in order to understand hidden spiritual meaning. This tends to give rise to the idea that only a select few “really spiritual people”, can understand what others cannot. These “teachers”, who tickle the ear, and claim to speak for God often draw huge crowds who don’t study for themselves but listen only to their “Great Teacher”!
But God spoke to the prophet in Habakkuk 2:2-3 and this is what He said.
And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Also, in 2 Peter 1:19-21 the Apostle tells us that, “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
The “prophecies” that Peter speaks of include the doctrines of the gospel along with the revelations of futuristic and prophetic events, and they are not just for any one man, or one group to know. They are open and understandable to any man who will apply himself to know them. God doesn’t hide his truth! He wants it out there for all men to know and learn, so we can all know and make our own salvation sure; so we can know God as much as we are willing to know Him; and so that everyone in His church can be informed and ready to meet him.
When we start hearing of anyone who claims to have a revelation that no one else has then we should be wary of what is taught and be certain that it lines up with the Word of God because a lot of people just want attention and recognition, and they are trying to build a big following that will appear to endorse their message and draw even more into their scheme. And it’s always centered on getting rich and famous and not winning souls or preaching righteousness, repentance and living in holiness before the Lord. Their message is often more like “Milk Toast” than the real “meat of the word”, designed to please the flesh and ease the guilt of the mind.
Understand that whatever God is doing in these last days to bring souls into the Kingdom of God, Satan is trying to duplicate it to draw souls into his kingdom of death at the same time.
• God is a trinity (Father, Son and Holy Ghost)
• Satan has his trinity (Satan, Antichrist and False Prophet).
• God sends, signs and wonders and fire out of heaven to burn up the sacrifice and calls upon men to find an altar of repentance.
• Satan has his Satanic Cults and Altars where they offer blood sacrifices of animals and even people, and his followers shout, cut themselves and proclaim Satan as god.
In the days of Moses God sent the judgments of plagues upon Egypt and each plague the sorcerers and magicians of Egypt could duplicate; all but the last one. But now, with technology to aid the devil through Artificial Intelligence, it will even appear that Satan can raise his “son of perdition”, the Antichrist, from the dead. And the false prophet will appear to do many false signs and wonders, and be able to call fire down from the skies in his effort to deceive mankind into worshipping Antichrist.
Men would rather believe a lie than to confess the truth, because they love this world more than they love Jesus. That’s why many will deny the rapture or try to say that there’s no Second Coming of Christ at all.
Of course not everyone who believes different from what we do about the Pre-Trib rapture are denying Jesus. Many love him, and I have no doubt that they’ll be in heaven. You don’t have to believe in the rapture to go when it happens. You just have to be ready and be found faithful to Jesus, seeking a life of holiness.
I believe that we are to take nearly all of the word of God literally, at face value. Yes, I know that there are some allegorical passages, and there are some things are very symbolic, yet most of it is going to happen just like it is written.
Jesus used allegories often when he told parables, or stories that presented a truth by using stories from the lives of people. Allegories present abstract ideas or principles through using characters, figures, or events in narrative, dramatic, or pictorial form.
As many times as I mentioned it before, I’m sure that most of you will figure out that one of my favorite allegories outside of those in the Bible, is the book titled, “The Pilgrims Progress from this world to that which is to come”, written by John Bunyan from a prison cell in England between 1678 and 1684. This book tells a story of the life of a character named “Christian” and represents the life of all Christians as we travel through this world and while facing our struggles to enter into the gates of the Celestial City called Heaven.
The Books of Daniel, Ezekiel and Revelation, along with other instances of prophetic passages throughout the scripture are filled with symbolism, and they must be interpreted and compared to other scripture, and even to historical records in some cases, in order to get an understanding of what is said.
Many Christians just skim over these scriptures when reading the Bible because symbolism, types and shadows, can be hard to understand without in-depth study, and they are some of the most mis-interpreted of all. Who is the Leopard with wings, or the bear with three bones in his mouth that stomps everything around him, or what do all the parts of the metal statue of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream mean? What is the timeline of the end of days and how do we know where we are in that timeline? Without a teacher most Christians would never know because they don’t take the time to study it on their own.
Those among us who believe in the Pre-Trib rapture and take the Bible as more literal are convinced that there are two separate instances of the coming of Christ.
One is the Rapture itself as found in 1 Th 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Notice that it says, we shall be caught up together with those who are resurrected from the dead and we will go “to meet the Lord in the air”! Jesus will come again and receive his Bride unto himself, but he will not step foot on the earth. This is the first coming of Christ in the rapture that marks the end of the Church Age and the beginning of the tribulation.
The actual event to mark the beginning of the 7 years of tribulation is the signing of a peace treaty with Israel and its neighbors that is brokered by the Antichrist. 7 years from that day will mark the end of tribulation and the Second Coming of Jesus.
Many are convinced that this treaty will be easily accepted because Israel will have just come through the war described in Ezekiel 38 and all their enemies will be too weak to attack and the treaty will ensure that Israel enjoys safety. Perhaps it will even guarantee for a time that Israel is able to keep all the lands they have captured during the war to finally fulfill the promise that God made to Abraham.
Right now they only occupy a portion of that promise because God promised Abraham of all the land between the River Nile in Egypt to the west; to the Euphrates in the east including parts of Iraq; to the countries of Jordan, Syria and Lebanon to the north; and parts of Saudi Arabia to the south. Israel’s territory will increase dramatically when God destroy 5/6th of the armies that come against her in the Ezekiel 38 war.
If we then look in Zechariah 14:1-4 we find the prophecy of another war that will signal the Second Coming of Christ.
“Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
This time, at the end of Tribulation, the armies of the Antichrist and all of Israel’s enemies will invade again, but this time they will seem to be winning as they move in to occupy half of Jerusalem. Before that can happen it’s reasonable to assume that most of the land mass of Israel gained in Ezekiel 38 will already have been recaptured.
It will seem as though Israel will be wiped out, but then the Lord returns to destroy Israel’s enemies and save the remnant of the Jews, and that’s when Israel will finally Jesus coming in Glory and they will say, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord”! Then all the remnant of Israel shall be saved!
Zechariah’s prophecy goes on to say, “And his (Jesus’) feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.”
It's easy to see that this is a separate event from the rapture which happened approximately 7 years earlier. At this Second Coming, Jesus is seen by all mankind in his “Glorious Appearing” and this spells the end of the Antichrist and the False Prophet as Jesus establishes his reign over the earth and ushers in a 1000 years of peace and prosperity while Satan is chained in the bottomless pit.
So what should we be looking for if we believe in the Pre-Trib Rapture? Certainly we can’t be looking for the fulfillment of the prophecies of those who proclaim that this world will be turned around and become a Utopian Society. Those who adhere to this heresy say that the church will become so powerful that we will throw the devil out and create a perfect world to present to Jesus as a gift at his Second Coming! That prophecy doesn’t agree with anything in Ezekiel, Daniel and Revelation. Revelation tells us that unless Jesus returns when he does that no flesh would be saved. That doesn’t sound like a utopian world to me.
There are many false prophets that have arisen in these last days, just as the Lord himself warned us there would be in Matthew 24:11. False prophets, giving false prophecies born out of their own heart’s desire, but not given by the Spirit of God to them. These words speak of a false hope that appeals to the hearts of men who love this world more than they love the Lord, and they are deceiving many.
How many will miss the rapture, and be caught unaware because their eyes and their commitment is to the pleasures and obtaining of all that this life has to offer while they forget about Jesus’ coming? They’re false hope will bring on procrastination and they won’t prepare to be a part of the Bride of Christ.
Everyone who is serious about the rapture is looking for signs of His coming and we are seeing more of them every day! Never before have so many signs of the Lord’s coming been manifested as they are right now! We need to know the signs of the times and we need to be aware of what’s going on in the earth so that we can rightly interpret where we are in the prophetic timeline and we can know what’s on the horizon in order to be the church that occupies until Jesus comes.
But we shouldn’t just focus on the signs. We need to focus on making ourselves ready and always be prepared while we look for the signs, and that means living a life of holiness, sanctifying ourselves, and keeping ourselves separated from the world and unto the Lord! We must try to tell others about Jesus’ coming, and warn those that are lost or backslidden. But rather than looking for signs we really should be listening for the shout of the voice of the Archangel, and the sound of the Trumpet!
So many today don’t believe in the rapture, don’t believe in Heaven, and certainly don’t believe in hell. They’ve lost their faith in Jesus, if they ever had any. They’ve forgotten their Creator and they think that somehow things are going to just work out for their good. That’s the great deception of the devil at work. It’s a false hope built on a self-centered lie. No one will be saved without repentance and being cleansed by faith in the blood of Jesus and without pursuing holiness in their daily lives.
BEGIN HERE FOR SUNDAY, MAY 28
Today we want to pause for a moment to remember those who have paid the price of freedom with their lives. In November we take a day to honor all Veterans who have served in our Armed Forces, for every one of them has pledged their lives and their fortunes by taking an oath to defend and protect our country from all enemies, both foreign and domestic, and to defend our constitution, and obey those who are assigned to be command over us. There are millions of veterans, and some here in our midst, and we do honor your service and sacrifice.
But we honor a specific group of veterans this weekend, for tomorrow is Memorial Day. It’s a day set aside for honoring the sacrifice of those veterans who gave their all for the cause of freedom. And when I hear someone say, “Happy Memorial Day”, it just proves to me that we have forgotten what this day is all about. It’s a day to be sober, to reflect upon and to honor those whose lives were lost on fields of battle, and those who have passed on after having done all they could during their lifetimes. This special day is set aside to remember, and never allow ourselves to forget that the cost of our freedom and liberty is not cheap.
It’s okay to have our cookouts, or day at the beach, or a time of enjoying life. That’s what those who gave their lives wanted us to be able to do. But never forget; and it would be very appropriate, to take a moment to pause, remember and thank God for the sacrifices made by many thousands of veterans who died and will never be able to celebrate this day that they have made possible for the rest of us to enjoy.
In the beginning of American History, Patrick Henry declared to King George V of England, “Give me Liberty, or give me death!” Patrick Henry, oddly enough, was born on May 29, 1736, which is the date of Memorial Day for 2023. After having pledged his life for freedom, he remained a faithful patriot to liberty and served two terms as the governor of the new free state of Virginia, and died on June 6, 1799 at the age of 63. We honor Patrick Henry and those immortal words that became a national cry for freedom as he joined the ranks of our founding fathers.
Because of Patrick Henry, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin and a lot of others in the beginning, America was born as a free nation, with liberty and justice for all. If they could see what America has become today, I’m certain that they would be very disappointed.
American is not the land of the free and the home of the brave as they envisioned. Instead we are becoming the land of the offended and the home of the self-centered and the constitution and Bill or Rights is being trampled underfoot by the lawlessness of our legislature and government leaders who are only focused on getting rich themselves even at the cost of destroying what so many have given their lives to protect.
I know that if all of those who gave their lives for the cause of freedom and liberty would be highly disappointed to see that their sacrifices are forgotten by so many, and that the country that they loved, served, fought and died for, is quickly fading away. America is no longer the Bastion of Freedom that we were after World War II. We are still the envy of the whole world because of what we are as a nation, which is proven by the numbers of illegal aliens we are allowing in every day, but America is being destroyed from within.
I believe that two things are true! First, that God is sending revival in a last great Awakening to save as many souls as will come to him, and Secondly, that America as a free nation is well on the path to self-destruction and growing weaker by the day. Our president seems to seek for anything he can do to weaken our economy and destroy our independence and bring us under subjection of a One World Government preparing America to be a part of the kingdom of the Antichrist in just a few more years.
But none of these things should surprise us if we have spent time in the Word of God and understand what it says. We know that the Spirit of the Age can be interpreted in two ways.
One, the is the Holy Spirit that is moving in the earth, in the hearts of men everywhere, to cause them to be convicted of sin, to repent of that sin, and to turn to Jesus and find salvation. He is causing the gospel to be preached in every nation on earth as a fulfillment of the prophetic word. The Holy Ghost is working to build the kingdom of God in the hearts of men; an eternal Kingdom where we will dwell with God forever.
The Second interpretation of that Spirit of the Age is the spirit of antichrist that is also engulfing the earth and leading the souls of men to destruction, death and eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire, but Satan moves in subtle ways so that men are deceived and cannot discern the truth of what’s happening. Their sin has made them spiritually blind, acting as a veil over their eyes and understanding.
And so we come to the second part of the message that I started last Sunday concerning the Spirit of the Age and preparing ourselves for what is coming!
In Luke 17:26 Jesus warned us what these times would be like. “And as it was in the days of Noah, so it also shall be in the days of the Son of Man.” He repeats the warning by comparing these times to the days of Lot, Abraham’s nephew, who lived in Sodom, where homosexuality and all manner of fleshly perversion and idolatry was rampant.
Jesus said in Luke 17:28-29, “they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.”
Just look around and you’ll see that we are living in a modern day Sodom! The sin that engulfed Sodom and Gomorrah now has a strong grip upon America, so how can we escape judgment if we don’t turn and repent? Unless God intervenes in the affairs of our government leaders and there is a spiritual awakening in high places we won’t see America turning back to God.
People are constantly seeking to build bigger and better. Their whole lives are focused on gaining wealth, which restaurant, or what food to eat; bigger houses, with the best of everything; new vehicles that are better than their neighbors in a competition to be among the elite. They are planting seeds of money, work and energy into life, expecting it to yield a harvest for their future. What will that mean when they are suddenly required to stand before God? Who will reap that harvest, or will it ever come? Put off serving the Lord all you want, but one day it will be too late!
The track that our nation is traveling now leads to destruction, and though we are seeing some turning toward justice, we have a long way to go. How far will we turn and how long it will last while God waits? How long will God’s Grace be extended, and we are given time to repent? These are things that we don’t know. But the track that all nations must walk still lies before us, and before its over, America will fall in line with the One World Government of the Antichrist.
I do believe that God is moving in the earth, and here in America to bring about a great harvest of souls. I’m praying for, and believing for a harvest right here in our own community. I’m praying first of all for a revival in Victory Temple because until the church repents, we get truly hungry for God, and begin to humble ourselves and call upon the Lord, the healing we seek for our land and the revival we desire will be hindered!
God is waiting on us, but we are often too busy with the pleasures and cares of life in this world and the pleasing of the flesh, and we too satisfied with life right now to be hungry for revival!
And that plays right into the plans of the devil and into the warning that the Apostle Paul gave us in 2 Thessalonians 2:2-12 of the great delusion that was coming, and that one of the effects would be a great falling away, “…for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition…”.
We are told that when the rapture comes and the church is taken out of the way, then the son of Perdition, the man who will embody the Devil himself, will arise because the opposition and authority to stand against him that is in the church right now will no longer be in the earth!
Those who don’t make the rapture will come under much greater delusion because they love sin and reject truth. That’s what delusion means - a false belief or judgment about reality, held onto despite incontrovertible evidence to the contrary. It’s a mental condition fueled by a heart condition where the heart is set against God and his Word and is ready to receive and believe the devil’s propaganda and lies while denying, and even fighting against the truth.
How often do we now hear what people are saying, who won’t believe the truth, and we can’t help but believe that they are just plain crazy, and have lost touch with reality. That is only going to get much worse as time goes on.
In the days of Noah, they refused to hear the truth. They believed that they could be greater than God and that the flood that Noah preached would never come. It had never rained before, so why should it now? It’s just the word of One man against every other voice in the earth! The screams of the deceived drowned out the truth of God’s warning until the flood came and drowned every voice but Noah’s and the Truth became too strong to deny.
And now we see that very few will listen to a message on the Rapture in our day. The church isn’t watching and making ready. Instead many are ignoring that the rapture is coming and many think that its all a myth. What’s the excuse that many give? “Preachers have been preaching the rapture for so many years that everyone seems to have given up on it. We have been saying it for all the years of my life of 75 years, that the day is at hand, and still life goes on and the world grows more evil.”
The world is deaf because they are dead in sin and can’t hear, but the church is turning a deaf ear to truth because they love the world more than Jesus and their lives are too comfortable to want to see Jesus come!
2 Timothy 2:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Jeremiah 17:23, Yet they did not listen or incline their ears, but stiffened their necks in order not to listen or take correction.
Jeremiah 25:4, And the Lord has sent to you all, His servants the prophets again and again, but you have not listened nor inclined your ear to hear,
The Catholic Church, Anglican and Episcopal Church, Presbyterian Church, Lutheran Church, Churches of Christ and others can deny that there will be a rapture but that doesn’t stop the truth and when it comes, they will miss it. No matter who says it’s not true, all of the voices shouting against it will be silenced with only one shout and the sound of the trumpet!
That sounds like the same crowd in the time of Noah when the flood water began to rise, the nay-sayers could no longer be heard above the screams of the dying.
We see the falling away, and there are many reasons; none of which is worth losing out with God and being left behind! Like the old saying goes, Just pick your poison but make good because price of any choice is your eternal life
• Disgust in other Christians. People who have been hurt by other Christians will often pull back, feeling betrayed and stung by the hypocrisy they’ve experienced.
• Disappointment with God. When God doesn’t seem to be hearing me or answering my prayers. Often this is due to unrealistic and untrue expectations of what God was going to do in the first place, but it also can happen when God seems silent and unresponsive. Are you even there, God?
• Difficulties. Resulting in disappointment. We can experience difficulties in life that can drive us away from God. Following Jesus can even seem to make life worse, blowing up relationships, inviting persecution, the rejection of family, and hard times. For some, the call to take up our cross and follow Jesus can become more than they believe they can, or want to do.
• Distractions. We live in a hyper-busy world, and our attention can jump from one thing to another. I’ve seen people who used to be really fired up but now have other priorities. Now they have a new business venture and don’t really have time to invest in spiritual growth. Suddenly priorities change because they signed the kids up for hockey and we just can’t make it to church anymore because their games are always on a church night. Some have chosen new hobbies that are a great distraction. It can be a lot of things but the end of it all is the weakening of their commitment and, if it continues, even the destruction of their faith and losing out with God.
• Discouragement. I’ve heard it many times, when people feel like they have been trying so hard and getting nowhere. Discouraged with themselves, discouraged with their lack of experience with God, discouraged by some recurring sin, they give up.
• Doubt. Of course, we all struggle with doubt sometimes. But for some that doubt becomes strong and suddenly they aren’t so sure about the resurrection or that Jesus really is the Son of God. Is the Bible really true? Doubt can be a great pathway to growth and learning but it can also lead to backsliding, turning away from the Truth. So often our doubt is the result of a lack of commitment to pray and study the word and be faithful to our calling. Doubt can be the product of unrepentant sin because the more we hide it and think that we get away with it, the more we become doubtful that God cares or we begin to believe that he has given up on us.
• Selfish Desires. The truth is, some people leave the faith because they don’t want to live under Jesus’ authority. I want to have immoral relationships. They want to do their own thing without anyone telling them otherwise. They don’t want to feel the guilt when hearing a message of repentance. And they can’t stand to be around people who remind them of how far from God they really are.
• Distancing ourselves from God. There’s an old saying, “Absence makes the heart grow fonder”. That might work in a natural relationship you’re your spouse or close friends, but it doesn’t work in your relationship with Jesus. Distancing tends to make us feel cut off, and as we grow farther from our relationship with Jesus, the less it begins to mean to us. We lose that first love that we once had and now we don’t even think of the Lord anymore. Sometimes there are good reasons that we can point to like a sickness or some duty that we are compelled to perform, but the result is the same.
• Drifting slowly away. I’ve noticed that people who never commit fully to drawing near to the Lord can simply begin to drift away. They are just going with the flow in their lives with no discipline to stay near to God. Like a boat with no oars, no sail and no motor, they end up somewhere far away. They forget the adage that any old dead fish can float downstream”. If you’re going to flow with God then you need God’s life in you empowering you to fight against the world’s stream that leads to sin and death.
• Deceit. This last thing in my list is that we can be deceived and begin to believe a lie about who Jesus is and what life is all about. We can come under spiritual influences that cloud our minds. We hear false doctrine that has enough truth to sound right but excludes the whole truth. We listen to someone at work or somebody we respect, and our faith is questioned. We read a book or watch a video, and the argument presented against serving God seems so really strong. Without realizing it we begin to accept a lie and our faith is shaken because there is an enemy, and he seeks to deceive and devour.
There are other things that point to this day becoming more and more as it was in the days of Noah!
If you will remember in the beginning of Genesis when man was created and given his purpose to replenish and subdue the earth under God’s authority, Satan entered the garden to deceive and destroy mankind’s position in God.
It is written that when Adam and Eve began to have children, and the generations of man began to expand that the fallen angels who had followed Satan in his rebellion against God, looked upon natural women and chose to cohabitate in order to produce an offspring of giants that we refer to as the Nephilim.
The Nephilim were the offspring of the “sons of God’ mingling with the daughters of Adam, the great biblical giants were sons produced when fallen angels transformed themselves to appear as men to have relationships with natural women. These offsprings were giants compared to natural men.
The book of Enoch says this concerning the Nephilim, or “fallen angels” and their offspring:
And they (natural women) became pregnant, by these great giants (fallen angels), could grow to the height of three hundred ells: which according to Enoch meant that they could have been as tall as a mile. These “great giants” then consumed all the acquisitions of men. (their stored and growing food and grains). And when men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against them and began devouring mankind himself like cannibals. And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and even to devour one another and drink the blood of their victims.
According to some of Enoch’s words and also Jewish traditional teaching, These giants continued to reproduce and their offspring became known as the Nethilim. As time passed the Nethilim, these hybrid human beings, half human and half fallen angel continued to produce children until the bloodline of nearly the whole human race was corrupted with evil.
Because of their fallen nature and evil supernatural influence men became totally corrupt in all their ways. That’s why God said that their hearts and minds were ever upon more evil and growing worse every day and God repented that he had made man. It became so bad that God’s justice had to prevail so he decided to wipe out humanity and start over again but in his mercy God gave man 120 years to repent. Of course no one repented.
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord! The Bible never says that Noah was perfect, for he was still a fallen man, but through faith sought after God, and like Abraham many years later, the faith of Noah was counted as righteousness. Another thing that made Noah stand out was that it is said that God saw in Noah was a man whose bloodline was not tainted with the blood of the Nethilims. He was a man who had no ancestry that had come from the union with fallen angels.
So God chose to start again with 8 people in Noah’s family rebuild the human race in the earth. Noah’s line was pure but I wonder about the bloodline of his son’s wives who were saved in the ark.
Perhaps that’s why we still see the giants in the land even when Israel failed to cross into the promised land the first time. And maybe that’s why there were still giants around at the time of King David. They weren’t as big as the Nethilim in the beginning before the flood, but it is said that Goliath was still in that bloodline and he was around 8 feet tall.
In the garden, an alien being brought on the fall of man. Not some kind of UFO or being from another terrestrial world in the universe, but an alien from another world, another dimension, called the Devil. And he didn’t appear as a common snake, but he is called serpent, more subtle than any in the earth. He could come as an angel of light, or in any form he chose in order to deceive man.
Satan’s appearance could be as beautiful as he is described in Ezekiel 28:12-17
"Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, (symbolic representation of Satan) and say to him, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "You were the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond,
Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold.
The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created. "You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created,
Till iniquity was found in you.
Those fallen angels that produced the giants probably had the same ability to shapeshift, or change their appearance. Angels even today, in a number of instances in the New Testament have appeared as humans and the Bible tells us that we may even entertain angels without knowing it at times.
So the appearance to Eve in the garden could be called “a serpent” because it was symbolic of the evil and deceitful heart of the devil who appeared as something other than who he really is. For certain he didn’t look like a rattlesnake or any other normal snake. He was too sneaky for that!
In our time, we wonder if the demonic spirits and fallen angels of Satan’s kingdom are not at work again but in a different fashion.
When you think of what’s coming in the area of Artificial Intelligence and the attempt to create super-humans by uniting humans with computer chips, I wonder how much of it will be used to further the kingdom of the Antichrist and try to create another race of people like he did in the beginning? Could these become a new form of Nephilim?
Elon Musk has gained FDA approval for the surgical implant of his Nuralink chip. Although there is still a lot of testing to be done, the inventors hope that the chip in the brain will be accessible by Bluetooth from outside the body, and that it will help people who are paralyzed, those with autism and a number of other brain disorders. Perhaps the stated purpose and goals are great, but man always finds a way to weaponize every invention, and how much damage can be done with a Nuralink chip?
Of course Elon Musk isn’t the only one experimenting with this type of chip in the brain. There are a lot of other companies doing the same thing and one in Europe that has already transplanted a chip into the brain of a paralytic and he was able to walk again just by thinking about it as the chip controlled his muscular activity.
What kind of hybrid human/computer/demon influenced being could be produced by science? Add in the AI factor and the possibilities and capabilities of these hybrid people no one knows.
All I want can say is that we had better be drawing closer to the Lord and preparing for his coming! And God help anyone left behind after the Rapture!
If what we see happening now is still falling under the category of the “beginning of sorrows”, and technology is threatening to take control of every human being on the planet, I don’t want to be here when it grows much worse and the church is gone. You can rest assured that Antichrist will employ all of these technologies to secure his One World Government. We can’t afford to miss the rapture. Who wants to go through the age of wrath that’s coming as God judges all things?
WE must be about the Lord’s business, drawing near to him in prayer, worshipping him in spirit and in truth, and being filled with the Holy Ghost who can give us the gift of discerning of Spirits.
Lord help us never fall prey to the great deception and delusion of this world. The deception and delusion will grow worse, as the subtle serpent is still at work in the earth, but the Bible says that when the enemy comes in like a flood that God would lift up a standard against it, and it would not prevail against his church.
Are you in His church, or are you trying to build YOUR church as you listen to subtle voices around you that are leading you into apostasy?
Get in, and sell out to the Lord, and call upon him, drawing near to him. In this Age of Grace God will hear and answer you and he is only waiting to be inviting before drawing nearer unto you. We all need the infilling of the Holy Ghost and the spiritual gifts in order to not become deceived.
Let’s choose God instead of self. God gave the people before the flood 120 years to repent. How long has He given to us?
Let’s keep our eyes on Jesus and hide his word in our hearts to know the truth that will set us free. Let us walk in the way of Holiness and turn our eyes on Jesus! Let the Holy Ghost lead you and word of the Lord cleanse you, and let the Light of God shine brightly through you!
