PREFACE SUMMARY
Dear readers, have you ever felt like you were being tested to your core and wondered if you were being singled out for suffering or why some people seem to get away with doing wrong and even prosper in their wrongdoing?
I have often had these thoughts and hoped that God was not watching. Unfortunately, in reality, when we see the immorality, divorce, and backbiting among God's people, it can be discouraging.
If we looked at all of this with our human reasoning, we might question the mercy and justice of a loving God. However, we must ask ourselves: who are the meek, and why did Jesus say they would inherit the earth?
According to Matthew Henry's Commentary, the meek quietly submit themselves to God, follow his directions, comply with his designs, and are gentle toward all people. Being meek means being pliable, teachable, and submissive to those in authority over us.
Meekness is the fruit of God working in us by his Holy Spirit to conform us to the image of his Son. With this fruit working in us, we will begin to have a new outlook on life and see things the way God does, including how we view our fellow human beings.
When we put our trust in the Lord and give him preeminence in our lives, our attitude will change into Godly sorrow, which will soften our hearts and make us more receptive to the working of his Holy Spirit within us.
WHO ARE THE MEEK?
Dear Readers, did you know humility is not just about describing someone as weak but also beloved? A meek person is pliable, teachable, and submissive to those in authority. The Lord God is at work in our inner selves to produce the image of his Son in us, and humility allows us to accept instruction.
Did you also know that a meek person can endure trials, even if it means embarrassment, pain, or loss? They can remain patient through trials because they know that God loves them and is sovereign over all creation. Being loved, having a child-like attitude, and being meek allow us to bear insults from others and remain calm while others get angry.
We learn to leave vengeance to God while remaining calm and trustworthy in our calling. Jesus said that the meek will inherit the Earth because they are satisfied with what they have and thank God for it. (Psalms 37:16) “A little that a righteous man has is better than the riches of the wicked.”
Sometimes, life seems unfair, and we are bound to face trials and tests designed to produce Godly character. Through these trials, we gain valuable knowledge and experience.
Let us not forget to live confidently and patiently. It is valuable for us to help someone else who may be going through hardships; many people get their breakthroughs by observing how we endure setbacks in life.
God is more concerned about building our character than the complex trials that tear at the fabric of our souls. Our reputation is what people think about us, but our character defines us, especially in God's eyes. Press on with the attitude of endurance, for the prize is not given to the swift or the strong but to those who finish the race.
(Job 14:1-2), "Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble." (2) "He comes forth like a flower and is cut down; he flees as a shadow and continues not." We will have trials and hardships, but the good news is that we don't have to face them alone."
We have the comforting promise in God's holy word that shows us how to get to God. The word became the way, and we should not fear what man can do to us because God will never leave us. He will go with us all the way, even to the world's end. Therefore, no matter what we face in life, we have his promise that we do not have to go through it alone.
(Hebrews 13:5) "Let your conversation be without covetousness, and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." (6) "So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."
WHAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MEEK?
Dear reader, did you know that a meek person responds to a situation instead of reacting with mixed, impulsive decisions? Responding means considering and praying about a situation before making a decision. A meek person trusts in the Lord's guidance and does not worry about things they cannot control.
Beloved, becoming meek is a process that takes time and endurance through life's storms. By allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us, we can positively impact future generations.
The Bible describes a meek person as a humble person willing to give up their rights to their life and work under the authority placed over them. They believe that god watches over them and will cause all things, good and bad, to work in their favor.
In a hurting and discouraged world, people need encouragement, not guilt. Those who have gone through their storms can offer valuable knowledge and support to those experiencing difficult times.
By trusting in the Lord and sharing their testimony, they can help others become stronger and more confident in their faith. Remember, the Lord planned our lives before the foundation of the world, and we can trust in His guidance.
(Galatians 5:22-23) (22) "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, (23) "Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."
POWER UNDER CONTROL
Dear readers, I feel the Lord would like me to speak about how horses or oxen can be trained to become helpful in riding or pulling farm equipment.
Did you know that wild horses have their own will and must be trained before they allow a rider to mount them? Sometimes, the only way to break their stubborn will is to lead them into the water, where they can't kick and throw their rider on the dry ground. However, it's important always to give horses an escape route, as placing them in a position where they can't escape can cause them to give up their will to live and die.
Farmers often train young horses or oxen by yoking them with older, trained animals. The younger animal will have no choice but to follow in the same direction as the trained animal.
Farmers may sometimes find a cow that walks the fence line looking for a weakness to escape. In this situation, they may tie a small forked tree around the cow's neck to prevent it from escaping. If the cow continues to try to escape, it may have to be put down.
In our Christian journey, if we continue in sin and rebellion, God may allow things to come into our lives to break our spirit and remind us that He is the one who called us and will help us finish our journey.
Horses and mules are different in their personalities. If not appropriately trained, horses will throw their riders and run away, while mules will throw their riders and wait nearby. Mules are also solid and sure-footed, making them ideal for traveling long distances through rough terrain and carrying heavy loads.
God takes our commitment to Him seriously and will not abandon us when we make mistakes. Like stabilizer bars on a car, the Holy Spirit can guide and keep us from sinning.
Humility is a fruit of the Holy Spirit that enables us to endure insults and injuries without retaliating. Those who are meek in spirit have submitted themselves as yielded vessels of the Lord and recognize that He is the potter, and they are the clay. They remain calm in the face of trouble and have peace in their spirits that the material things around them cannot quickly shake.
MY CONCLUSION
Beloved reader, did you not know that the peace that God gives to those that have accepted Christ into their heart will cause them to be able to forgive someone who has violated them or their family, such as a rapist or even a murderer?
Dear reader, these enlightened people now have a broader understanding that people who do not know Christ in the free pardon of sin and have allowed his grace to deal with their sin nature will act like and serve their master which is Satan.
In closing beloved let us bow our heads in worship and thank God for his wonderful plan that predestined our birth and life for his cause and purpose before the foundation of the world.
Dear reader, let us now thank God for the blood of Jesus, which is a propitiation to protect us from evil, make our life count and keep the enemy from bringing his facts against us causing the devil to drop his rocks.
Beloved, the world has the peace of God but we that are saved have peace with Him because we have been cleansed by the blood of God’s precious lamb.
Yes, dear reader, the fellowship we lost through Adam can now be restored by accepting the sacrifice of Jesus as God’s final payment for our sin.
Beloved, now that we have gleaned from this study and discovered that our birth on Earth was not an accident but predestined for a divine purpose, let us fall before Him in reverence and ask Him to forgive our sins and transgressions.
Saints, let us pray, dear Lord, we believe you sent Jesus to pay the sin debt and die in our place, we believe He died and rose again for our justification.
Dear Lord, we accept your free pardon, and ask You to create in us a clean heart and right spirit; Lord wash us in the blood of Your Son and remove anything that we may have inherited from our blood line.
In closing Lord, we ask that You make our life count and with our whole heart, we pledge our allegiance to You and Your kingdom for it is in you that we have discovered the essence of Life, and may we become teachable to learn your ways and distribute the qualities and character found in those that you describe as the meek that shall inherit the earth.
Beloved, in closing, if this message has been used of God to enrich your life and your walk with God, or if you through reading this book have made a decision to ask Christ into your heart, please feel free to go to our website and feel out the contact form located on the contact us page and allow us to share in your new experience with God.
Beloved, when we come to the end of our life, we should be so empty from pouring into the life of others that we have nothing left to give and the bottom line is on this wise, we must come to the realization that it is not about us and who we are in the body of Christ, is far more important than what we can do and accomplish on our own. for in the end beloved, our works shall be tried by fire.
