Although there are some people who do not celebrate Christmas because they claim Jesus was not born on the 25th of December. Okay, maybe they are right. Contrariwise, others celebrate Christmas, regardless of when Jesus was born.
The question I would like you to ponder today and answer is, 'has Jesus Christ been truly born into your personal life'? If you say yes, when was He born into your life? How do you know He is in you? Is He growing in you, or remains a baby in the manger? What is the proof of your salvation?
No one can answer this question for you except you. You are the only one who knows how strong your relationship with Him is.
For those who are not sure, you may ask,
“How do you give your life to Jesus?”
1. The answer is found in Romans 10:9, which says, you will confess with your mouths, believe in your hearts that God raised Him from death, then we shall be saved.
2. Know that His death was to pay for your sins (1 Pet. 2:24).
3. Start to follow Him. He called the apostles and every Christian to follow Him. God called Abraham to follow Him. See John 12:26; John 10:27
4. Start and maintain a loving relationship with Him. The way to form and enjoy this loving relationship with Him is through obedience to His commandments. Jesus says in John 14:15, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”
What is His commandment?
1. Love: 1 John 4:8 says whoever does not love people does but know God because God is love. Do I? See 1 Cor. 13
2. Be fruitful. Jesus said, “By their fruit, you shall know them (Matt. 7;16-20)
o “As the old proverb says, 'Wickedness proceeds from the wicked.' But my hand will never be against you.” 1 Samuel 24:13
o “Even a young man is known by his actions--whether his conduct is pure and upright.” Proverbs 20:11
o “So then, by their fruit, you will recognize them.” Matthew 7:20
o “Make a tree good and its fruit will be good or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.” Matthew 12:33
o “No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit.” Luke 6:43
o “For each tree is known by its own fruit. Indeed, figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor grapes from brambles.” Luke 6:44
o “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,” Galatians 5:22
May you be fruitful in Jesus' name.
