5—The promise to end sin’s oppression comes thru...

A PERFECT POWER(:6e-2)

Explanation:(:6e-2)

:6—“...And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

The “Child”, whom God gives for the sake of all the spiritually oppressed(either deservedly or not), will Himself be “God” in all His humanly unattainable “Might.”

•He is NOT just any ‘god’, limited to the realm of a ‘familiar spirit.’

•The solution for sin’s oppression comes “unto us” thru THE Almighty “God” who’s “Might” is above all others.

The “Mighty God”, who designed hell for the devil & his angels, & heaven for all who love Him, is also the One who perfects freedom from sin’s oppression.

“Mighty God”—la rwbg—“Mighty”—rwbg ghib-bowr' OR(shortened)--rbg ghib-bor’—Adj.—1) Strong, mighty. Noun Masc.—2) Strong man, brave man, mighty man. Strong—Powerful; by implication--Warrior, tyrant; intensive from the same as rbg gheh’-ber[properly--A valiant man or warrior; generally--A person simply] & rbg gaw-bar’[To be strong; by implication--To prevail, act insolently; a primitive root].—&—“God”—la ‘el—Noun Masc.—1) God, god-like one, mighty one—1a) Mighty men, men of rank, mighty heroes, 1b) Angels, 1c) God, false god, (demons, imaginations), 1d) God, the one true God, Jehovah; 2) Mighty things in nature; 3) Strength, power. Strong—Strength; as adjective--Mighty; especially--The Almighty(but used also of any deity).

Argumentation:

Eph. 1:15-23—“Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus & your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom & revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, & what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead & seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality & power & might & dominion, & every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, & gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.”

Eph. 6:10-13—“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord & in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh & blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, & having done all, to stand.”

Col. 1:9-12—“For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, & to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom & spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work & increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience & longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.”

Php. 4:13—“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

2Cor. 12:9-10—“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

2Tim. 2:1—“You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.”

Our son-in-law, has attained an All Wheel Drive Tesla model 3. He’s had it for couple years now. We were invited to visit the family during Christmas & New Years last year. We did a lot of riding in the Tesla. All the workings of the car are accessed by a large computer screen. On the map program, you can make the car’s location look like a ‘Santa’s sleigh & reindeer’ & set the turn signals so they sound like sleigh bells!

What was most impressive was the car’s acceleration speed from 0-to-60 in 3.1 seconds(a Dodge Hellcat in 3:4sec!)....

•He took us to a lonely road with no other cars around, stopped it, made sure we were all strapped in, & then put the pedal to the metal! It took off like a rocket! I have NEVER been in a car that accelerated so fast!...No sound, just motion!...Amazing!/A PERFECT POWER

Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb & be born?” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water & the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, & that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’”

Heb. 2:10-13—“For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things & by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. A PERFECT PROGENITOR

?Have YOU received God’s Promise to end sin’s oppression, by receiving His PERFECT PROGENITOR, Jesus Christ?

?Is God’s Promise to end sin’s oppression, fulfilled in YOU?

7—The promise to end sin’s oppression comes thru...

A PERFECT PEACE(:6f-2)

Explanation:(:6f-2)

:6—“...And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

The promised end of sin’s oppression ‘WILL BE’ & ‘IS’ also the “Prince of Peace.”

• In human terms, a “prince” is generally thought of as ‘a royal sovereign ruler’ with undeniable/indisputable ‘generational kinship’ to a sovereign throne.

* The “Child” given to end sin’s oppression, Being the “Son” of God, is likewise the “Prince” of God, Who then possesses all God’s sovereign authority because He Himself is God in human flesh!.

•The “Child” ‘WILL BE’ & ‘IS’ the sole possessor of the “peace” of God. That “peace” is intended for the sake of mankind.

“Prince of Peace”—Mwlv-rs—

“Prince”—rs sar—Noun Masc.—1) Prince, ruler, leader, chief, chieftain, official, captain—1a) Chieftain, leader, 1b) Vassal, noble, official(under king), 1c) Captain, general, commander(military), 1d) Chief, head, overseer(of other official classes), 1e) Heads, princes(of religious office), 1f) Elders(of representative leaders of people), 1g) Merchant-princes(of rank & dignity), 1h) Patron-angel, 1i) Ruler of rulers(of God), 1j) Warden. Strong—A head person(of any rank or class).?From—rrs saw-rar’—To have dominion.

—&—

“Peace”(See :7)—Mwlv shaw-lowm’, OR--Mlv shaw-lowm’—Noun Masc.—1) Completeness, soundness, welfare, peace—1a) Completeness(in number), 1b) Safety, soundness(in body), 1c) Welfare, health, prosperity, 1d) Peace, quiet, tranquillity, contentment, 1e) Peace, friendship—1e1) Of human relationships, 1e2) With God especially in covenant relationship, 1f) Peace(from war), 1g) Peace(as adjective). Strong—Safe, i.e. figuratively--Well, happy, friendly; also abstractly--Welfare, i.e. Health, prosperity, peace.?From—Mlv shaw-lam'—To be safe(in mind, body or estate); To be(causatively, make) completed; To be friendly; To reciprocate(in various applications); a primitive root.

Argumentation:

Php. 2:5-11—“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, & coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself & became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him & given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, & of those on earth, & of those under the earth, & that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Lk. 2:13-14—“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God & saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!””

•People love to talk about ‘peace’, but they don’t want to give God the glory for it....Therefore their world does not have it!

Jn. 14:27—Jesus said,—“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

•What happens when you have no peace?...Your ‘heart is troubled’ & you are ‘afraid’!

Mat. 11:28-29—“Come to Me, all you who labor & are heavy laden, & I will give you rest. “Take My yoke upon you & learn from Me, for I am gentle & lowly in heart, & you will find rest for your souls.”

Php. 4:6-9—“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer & supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; & the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts & minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue & if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things. The things which you learned & received & heard & saw in me, these do, & the God of peace will be with you.”

Illustration:

My sister-in-law’s yard looked a mess. It had started to get overgrown because she had planted ‘winter Rye’ grass seed & was waiting for it to mature before cutting it. The trees had lost most of their leaves but they weren’t all raked & removed. It was unkept & chaotic looking. She was laid up with a short winter sickness & was tired of looking at four walls.

At her first instance of good health, she & my wife, spent the day in the yard cleaning things up. Now she can truly rest, using her often-used catch-phrase: “That’s so peaceful.”

Unfortunately that ‘peace’ only lasts for a few days & then it must be reinvented.

•God however gives us A PERFECT PEACE & a lasting peace, with the Prince of Peace.

?How do you find the God of peace?....Thru the Prince of Peace!

?How do you find the peace of God?....Thru the Prince of Peace!

Application:

?Have you received God’s Promise to end sin’s oppression, by receiving His PERFECT PEACE thru Jesus Christ?

?Is God’s Promise to end sin’s oppression, fulfilled in YOU?

A PERFECT ZEAL(:7f)

Explanation:(:7f)

:7—“...The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”

‘Zeal’(English definition)—“Great energy or enthusiasm in pursuit of a cause or an objective.”

It is ONLY by God’s continuing grace that we have the “Child”, the “Son”, the ‘miraculously’ “Wonderful Counselor”, the “God” of perfect “Might”, the undying, “Everlasting Father”, & the “Prince” of God’s perfect “Peace”, ...& all that is bound up in His perfect governance!

*It is ONLY because of the unfading & unfailing love, desire, & ability of the God of all the innumerable “hosts” of heaven, that all these things Have been, Are in the process of, & Will unfailingly be accomplished!

“Zeal”—hanq kin-aw’—Noun Fem.—1) Ardor, zeal, jealousy—1a) Ardor, jealousy, jealous disposition(of husband)—1a1) Sexual passion, 1b) Ardor of zeal(of religious zeal)—1b1) Of men for God, 1b2) Of men for the house of God, 1b3) Of God for his people, 1c) Ardor of anger—1c1) Of men against adversaries, 1c2) Of God against men, 1d) Envy(of man), 1e) Jealousy(resulting in the wrath of God). Strong—Jealousy or envy. Used 43X.?From—anq kaw-naw'; —To be(causatively, make) zealous, i.e. (in a bad sense)Jealous or envious; a primitive root.

Argumentation:

Ezek. 36:23—“And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you[Israel] have profaned in their midst; & the nations shall know that I am the LORD,” says the Lord GOD, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes.”

Titus 2:1314—“...our great God & Savior Jesus Christ,” “...gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed & purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.”

Illustration:

Consider a miniature village displayed in some high-end shops at Christmas?

The builders of these miniaturized quaint villages or city-scapes go to great lengths to depict ‘realities’ of life.

BUT they are personalized miniature ‘false-representations’ of life!

The builders LEAVE certain things OUT of the picture—the dirty, greedy, hateful, gnawing, frustrating, environmentally abusive, & generally bad parts.

And that absence helps us better ‘imagine’ what is idyllic, scenic, quaint, uncluttered, calm, & soothing about life. Even the miniature railroads running thru the villages, don’t use diesel or coal!

•The builder’s passion for the project accomplishes that task!
