Summary: Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

Thoughts:

I was invited to a baptist outreach program, and their theme was the evangelical explosion training (EE). One of the questions is, "If you were to die today and stand before God and He asked, 'Why should I let you into My kingdom?' what would you say?" though the question for me was kind of absurd well in my mind was why should God ask? He's an omniscient God! (He knows all things God will not ask anymore). But, the question gets to the heart, "What are you trusting in for eternal life?"

Sin: It is described in the Bible as a rebellion against God when Lucifer was not content with his position, he desired to be higher than God, and that was his downfall, the beginning of sin

Isaiah 14:12–15

12 How you have fallen from heaven,

morning star, son of the dawn!

You have been cast down to the earth,

you who once laid low the nations!

13 You said in your heart,

“I will ascend to the heavens;

I will raise my throne

above the stars of God;

I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,

on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon.

14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;

I will make myself like the Most High.”

15 But you are brought down to the realm of the dead,

to the depths of the pit.

Satan (Lucifer). tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden (Gen 3). "you shall be like God." Since then, sin has been passed down through all the generations of mankind, and Adam's descendants have handed-down sin from him. (Romans 5:12). "12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people because all sinned—, and so death was passed to mankind as well. "the wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23). All of us are now subject to God’s punishment, "Death," not just physically but eternal death. Romans put it this way - What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? (Romans 7:24). Who will rescue us? Praise be to God; He will rescue us!

Points:

(Ephesians 2:8-9). 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works so that no one can boast.

Truly it means salvation by grace through faith its

Salvation: Through Christ, indeed, it means salvation by grace through faith; it's the heart of the Christian religion; we can see three points of this passage salvation, grace, and faith.

The word salvation is "the act of being delivered that you are redeemed. The Bible tells us that since the fall of Humanity (Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden). "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people because all sinned" (Romans 5:12). And the penalty is death and eternal separation from God. Sin brings us to a place of damnation (Hell). Each of us needs to be delivered. In other words, we need salvation, and we need Jesus Christ. and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. (Romans 3:24).

Grace is God's undeserved flavor on those He has called to salvation through His love because of Christ; we are justified, vindicated, and determined to be sinless in the eyes of God. (Romans 3:24). -

In addition, it also means God has chosen to bestow His grace upon us through faith. (Hebrews 11:1). "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." Salvation is secured by faith in God's Son, Jesus Christ, in what He has done, specifically, His death on the cross and His resurrection. This is the meaning of salvation by grace through faith.

Conclusion:

Our salvation is made only possible through the sacrifice, death, resurrection, mercy, and grace of Jesus Christ. The Bible helps us understand, and through the Power of the Holy Spirit, we can learn to press on and move forward on the path that leads to eternal life.
