Summary: Living a Godly life in Christ Jesus is profitable in all things on the earth and in the heavens. We are called to be good stewards of the Kingdom of God and as we work in the Kingdom of God we must be profitable by multiplying the favor and grace of God over all that our hands are spread over.

SCRIPTURE: 1 TIMOTHY 4:6-11: If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these

things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of

faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto

godliness.

8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all

things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

INTRODUCTION:

When we hear the word Profitable we automatically begin to think about monetary

rewards and bonuses for the work that is being done in business. I have been working in the secular world for the past Twenty Nine years and through experience in the field of finance and education in finance I have learnt that in order to be profitable there must be consistency, commitment and diligence to produce the

goods and services that is in demand.

Capital output of personal time, efforts, contingencies, money and good choices are part of the Profitable first calculated equation. As the demands are met and trust is built in the market share, Profits begin

to incline on the charts of Profitability.

Today as we take a look at how profitable it is to be Godly and how it can be achieved

in all things that we are joined too, let us tune our hearts over to the counsel of the

Apostle Paul as he encourages his protégé and understudy the young Pastor in

Ephesus Timothy.

As we work tirelessly in the world and study endlessly in the world to be profitable in all things: we are reminded here in these scriptures that having a godly life will conquer and dominate all other charges we have in our lives, by the power of the Holy Ghost and the redemptive work of the Blood of Christ Jesus.

1. THE HUSBANDMAN AND THE VINEYARD

John 15:1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.” (KJV)

-The husbandman is the businessman that has set up His Kingdom to produce

exponential harvest upon the earth. The husbandman is Father God.

-The kingdom or business of the Father is the Vine that was planted on the earth

which is King Jesus.

-Jesus said I am about my Father’s business. Luke 2:49 49 And he said unto them, How

is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

-The work of the vine is to produce fruit of its own kind.

-Jesus’s work on the earth was a work to teach mankind of the Kingdom of God and

the first estate of the Garden of Eden which is to be Holy as God the Father is Holy.

-Righteousness was introduced to mankind through the demonstrated love of Christ

to work towards becoming Holy and like Christ Jesus Himself through His blood and

the Holy Ghost that now lives within.

-The work of Christ was a master plan of the Father that has yielded great profits and

harvest over the thousands of years that has passed and even today.

-The word or the doctrine of Christ Jesus is paramount to our lives in being transform

to His glory. Paul warns Timothy to beware of false doctrine and teach sound

doctrine. Disciplined to research, study and prove all things by scripture.

-Being nourished up in the word means to practice the principles of the word to reap

the promises of the word.

-His blood, life, death, burial and resurrection gained the profit of millions of souls

that accessed Him and today we benefit the life of being cursed free. Having

abundance of goodness and mercy following us all the days of our lives.

-The Father has counted the cost of the Son to the world and He saw a great

profitability to the Kingdom of God and the Nations of the earth and the

destruction of the Kingdom of darkness.

-Our lives are not given to glorify the work and education of the world for

profitability to live, but to give all the glory to the God that is provider of all things.

-We must learn to Love like Jesus. Love covers a multitude of Sins. We must learn to

give like Christ, He give up His life for us that we may have everlasting life, We must

teach people about the Holy Ghost that is on the earth working through us to mirror

us like Christ and let Him work on us each day to be Holy as He is.

-We must train ourselves to put all things before God the Father in pray and fasting.

Not looking for fame by focusing on our appearance to men but only to live a

healthy life that gives longevity on earth degenerative system of time.

Our Godly lives will reap every promise made to us through our forefathers of the

faith that we will live in the abundance on God’s goodness here on earth and in the

afterlife as well.

2. PHYSICAL BLESSINGS AND SPIRITUAL BLESSING

1 Kings 3:9–12 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart

to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? 10 And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. 11 And God said unto him, Because

thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for

thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;

12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and

an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any

arise like unto thee

-Solomon was given the spiritual blessings of wisdom and God added riches beyond

his imagination as well because of his humility to lead God’s people.

-Even though we gain spiritual blessings and physical blessings we must be able to

keep Godliness at the frontlets of our eyes as Solomon fell from the grace of God due

to his many gentile wives that persuade him to move away from the righteousness of

God.

-The people of the Corinthian church in Corinth they were spiritually blessed with the

Holy Ghost and power yet they were overpowered by their flesh as they made the

Lords super a feasting and not a reverencing. Their conduct was not godly as was

expected.

-The Lord speaking about the Laodicean church which is termed the lukewarm

church. Jesus pin pointed that they were rich physically, blessed with wealth but has

no Holy Ghost power because their focus was not on godliness but on wealth.

-Godliness is a seeking through the Kingdom of God that dwell within us through the

Holy Ghost. As we are transformed in seeking more of Christ we profit the Kingdom

sufficiency in all things that we need and want in this life.

Matthew 6:31-34 KJV

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or,

Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth

that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things

shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for

the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

-Godliness reaches beyond the earth and what earth life has to offer. It has the

rewards and bonuses of eternity.

CONCLUSION

2 Cor. 13:5, “Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves.

Do you not know yourselves that Jesus is in you?” The simple fact is that God gives

us the choice to serve him every day of our lives and to be made righteous through

the blood of Christ Jesus every day.

The Apostle Paul made this point to the Corinthians church to do the introspection and make the adjustment as it is necessary and it is profitable to one’s soul to harvest every promises made to us as a believer and to live a life pleasing to God the Father. Resurrection awaits us, eternity awaits us, a mansion in heaven a place prepared by Christ awaits us and a cloud of witnesses awaits us. Let us strive to live a godly life as we have great gains by it.
