SCRIPTURE: Colossians 4:1-6 Masters, give unto your servants that which is
just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.
2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
3Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance,
to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:
4 That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
5Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
6Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know
how ye ought to answer every man.
INTRODUCTION:
The Apostle Paul in his walk with the Lord saw the prophetic meaning and
declaration of the grace of an open door. He continually spoke of the word
“Door” prophetically. In Ephesus he said a great and effectual door has open
up due to the fact that the word was preached and those with great influence
was save. In Antioch Act 14:27 he spoke of the work that he accomplished
through the opening of the door to save the Gentile nation through their faith
in the word spoken of Christ.
In 2 Corinthians 2:12 he made mentioned that his heart was heavy even though a door opened
for him to preach the gospel because he did not find his brother Titus there, so he took leave to go to
Macedonia. However, the door continued to be effective in the preaching of the word and the saving of the souls and raising up of the apostolic leadership of the church.
Today I indulge in the prophetic grace of a door to the word of God. The glory of the open door, the purpose of the open door and how we can be effective through the open door. How to recognize the open door in the realm of the spirit and take the risk of entering into the open doors.
1. THE GLORY OF THE DOOR
John 10:9-11 King James Version
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he
shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
-First and foremost the Father/Master give us Jesus the Door. God the Father’s
master plan is Christ the door to access grace, access His blood, access the Holy
Ghost and all the Kingdom of God has.
-Jesus Christ is the “Door”. He is the only access to the kingdom of God.
-He is the glory and the lifter of our head to recognize the opening.
-His name has power inside the door.
-He is the savior that grabs hold off the heart through the door.
-He is the mission upon entering through the door, to gather the people.
-He is the word given in the mouth to preach Him alive, crucified, buried and
resurrected in the door.
-He is the strength to the Ministers of the word that declare Him before men.
2. THE PURPOSE AND EFFECTIVENESS OF THE OPEN DOOR
Colossian 4:3-4 -Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a
door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in
bonds: 4 That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
-Utterance or (Rhema Greek word) meaning the spoken word, it is the
action of utterance about Christ Jesus.
There are many doors to many nations of the world. We the body of Christ
has a divine purpose to seek out these doors and enter with the Rhema
word.
-Rhema is given to the Apostolic to break down the barriers and defenses of
the enemy that tries to manipulate, skew, seduce and pervert the word of God like in the Garden of Eden.
-The word was given to the Enemy that the Seed/Door Christ Jesus/word
will crush the head of the enemy.
-The Mystery of the Seed is the manifestation of the word that converts the
heart, delivers the demon possessed, that cause Legions to flee, demons to
bow down, that cause sorcerers to be recognized, to heal the sick, to cause
the lame to walk, the blind to see and to raise the dead.
-Leaders in the Fivefold gifts must be given to much prayer and fasting as
Christ Jesus as He is our example of the life of Holiness and righteousness so
that the effectiveness of the Word/Door will yield great harvest for the Kingdom of God.
3. THE DOOR IN THE SPIRIT AND THE RISK TO ENTER
Colossians 4:5-6 KJV
5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know
how ye ought to answer every man.
-The word “Door” in the Greek word means “Porta” or Portal, Gate Opening or
entrance.
-The word of God or Christ Jesus is a Gate or Portal in the realm of the Spirit
through the Kingdom of God.
-Not all gates or portal access are divine or God ordained. We must have a
spirit of discernment to recognize the demonic gates and gate keepers.
-Sodom and Gomorrah was a demonic gate that were protected by
homosexual gate keepers. These gates and doors was demolished by the
word of God through Fire and only one man was saved by the word.
-Walking in wisdom and the discernment of spirits will cause the word to yield
in a nation, a county, a community or church.
-Wisdom to know when to dust your feet and leave a city or town that does
not receive you Matthew10:14.
-Learn the wisdom to redeem the time spent in open doors. The Apostle Paul
was teaching the Corinthian church giving and said something important:
“When I was in my need I told no man, but because the church in Macedonia
was effectual in discernment of the needs of the Apostles they came to him
and supplied all his needs”.
We cannot beat ourselves in trying to teach the unteachable. Judas walked with the
Door himself and never learned anything.
-The wisdom to pattern oneself after Christ and not look for fame, fortune and
power. That which is of Christ will stand or the door will destroy you, the sons
of Sceva tried to go through a door that seem easy by the word with no
presence and power of the Holy Ghost and was striped, beaten and shamed
out of the place where they tried to preach Acts 19:14-16 KJV.
CONCLUSION:
The word of God is Christ Jesus. Christ Jesus is the Door or Portal that we need
to manifest the glory of the Father over the earth.
We must be an example after Jesus on the earth and be Holy as He is Holy and walk in the wisdom of
the word spoken over our lives and live by the spirit of God, so that we become Kingdom Gate Keepers.
Abraham was a Kingdom Gate Keeper. When the door of heaven opens up and we enter in heaven we will be amazed to see what the open doors on the earth through the word of God has yielded. The diversity of
every nation, tongue and tribe of people a mass of God chosen generations of harvest stored for God’s glory. Let us yield ourselves to go through the doors presented to us to speak the word of God and manifest His glory on the earth.
Lets pray, dear Lord Jesus as you open up the doors of heaven over my life I pray that I will be able to recognize it and enter in to do your will. Lord, I will seek to honor you with my life and not look for fame and fortune within these door but I will declare your word as you give me utterance. Thank you Father for discernment to know the doors of the enemy that I will shut him off in Jesus mighty name Amen.
