SCRIPTURE: ZECHARIAH 2:1-5 KJV
I lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.2 Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.3 And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,4 And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:5 For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
INTRODUCTION
Zechariah received some visions from God about Jerusalem. These visions occurred after the 70 years of Babylonian captivity. A man with a measuring line was about to measure Jerusalem to mark the territory of God’s sanctioned land of the first fruit of the earth. God promised the inhabitants that he would enlarge their city to the extent it would be without walls. He also promised to be a wall of protection around them.
Today we live in a world of terrorism, violence, corruption robbery and mayhem. The walls that we build around our homes and work and family lives have become the key to physical protection on the earth.
However, there is a promise to the nations that we will live in perfect peace and tranquil in the territory of our God and with Him in His Holy place of rest and comfort that will not need physical walls of protection but the glory of our God will be just that for us.
1. THE TABERNACLE
Hebrews 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
-The Tabernacle was made so beautiful by description from the Lord. It was detailed with the most intricate of workmanship and with the treasures of precious jewels, gold, linen and purple.
-The first pattern of the church was given to man to teach mankind of the sacrifice that is needed for the remission of sins.
-The Tabernacle was built to teach mankind that God will dwell among men forever, His love is boundless towards us.
-It was the threshold of the heavens portal opening up to meet with man at the point of their sacrifices. The Altar became the chopping block off sins that stained the flesh and soul of man.
-Man’s heart could not receive the laws of Moses as many perished for disobedience.
-The Tabernacle was built with physical walls that limited the entrance to many
-The holy of holies was shielded from the congregation because of sins
-The penalty of death was imminent for sins with no room for repentance.
-Worship was limited by the traditions of men. Their heart condition remained the same and not changed to glorify the Father for His love and handiwork.
As much as God was their fire by night and pillar of cloud by day their sacrifices could not penetrate their heart to love God and to love people.
-The tabernacle was built to glorify the Father in heaven to show Him that we are grateful for the deliverance He gave in the land of Egypt and accept His presence that is limitless and cannot be contained in tents and walls.
We were given a preview of the tabernacle in the heavens that the Lord will be in the midst of His people to receive their TRUE HEARTFELT worship.
-We should never be limited by the Laws of old. We cannot hold scripture against the people of God and judge them. God has given us His son to remove this wall that all of mankind will have an opportunity to receive Him.
2. THE ROCK
Matthew 16:18 KJV
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
-Our God is a God of truth. He is the Rock, the immovable Foundation of this way of life. The Hebrew word for "Rock" indicates firmness, stability, and faithfulness.
-Father, Son and the Holy Ghost are the foundation of the church today. The church is built upon hearing the voice of God, listening and being directed by God.
-The spirit of God does not dwell in tabernacles of tents anymore the people but in the heart of man as they receive Christ as their Lord and savoir.
The wall of the church was removed by the blood of Christ Jesus. He expanded the territory of the church as it became boundless by the spirit that fills the heart of man. Miracles, deliverance, healings, salvation, broken curses, unconditional love and resurrection power gained its territory on the earth.
-Worship is now from the heart of man and not just from the mouth.
-The conscience of man has been seared with the word of God.
-Repentance has become the second chance that we needed.
-Love became the forefront of the salvation of man.
-The gates of hell are limited in their evil encroachment on the church.
God give us a greater value of the church built on the sacrificial blood of Jesus than that which was built on the sacrifices of animals for the remissions of sins.
Sin is the only limit that prevents us from the boundless Kingdom of God. It is time to wake up and get in. Our Flesh prevents the spirit of God from moving within us to stir up the grace and power that lives in us.
3. THE NEW JERUSALEM
REVELATION 21:1-7
21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
-There is a time coming soon that the church will be in that limitless place of great victory and triumphant glory to inherit all the promises that God has promised to us. Death, Sins, Hell and the grave will be removed from the earth and the lives of mankind.
-The human soul shall experience the spirit of God and the majestic glory of Christ Jesus and the Father together, as they will inhabit the territory measured and fixed for this assignment..
-The eternal habitation shall be a place without sin. A holy sanctuary.
-Heavenly being and human souls will inhabit the glorious New Jerusalem.
-The territory of our King of Kings will be exalted. There shall be no encroachment by the enemies of God and man.
-The true bride the church raptured and taken away to glory will meet the bridegroom in the marriage feast in this glorious sanctuary.
-All sadness, grief, pain, hurt, lack insecurities and demonic powers of influence over the lives will be dropped off in the physical church.
-The spiritual church that lives in man will manifest its glory in the New Jerusalem.
-All authority that was given to us will be manifested in the New Jerusalem. We will reign as Kings as well with Christ Jesus.
-The Word will live among us. The spirit will hover over us.
Jesus is coming for His church and as He prepared for them it is our prime duty to prepare our souls to meet Him.
A soul cleansed and prepared for worship. A soul consecrated and waited. A heart fixed and ready to met with our God. Glory, Glory, Glory to the king.
-The toils of the world will be no more. The harshness and anger of mankind shall fade away on the old dust of the earth. The gruesome plagues of diseases and sickness and demonic possessions will be overcome with the power of God.
-Status and education, money and houses, cars and riches shall perish with the old treasures of the earth.
The glory of worship shall be the true nature of the new church.
CONCLUSION:
The Tabernacle of God was given to us to present a blood sacrifice for our sins. It thought us the lesson of the Garden of Eden that disobedience brings death.
The Rock was given as the Sacrifice for our sins and to remove the letter of the law and place it in the heart of man that they will hear the spirit of God and be directed and guided to excellence in the Kingdom of God.
Christ conquered the world, the flesh and the Devil, Hell Death and the grave. We also can do the same as He was our Pattern on earth. He seated us in heavenly places in Him and give us the rule and reign over the spirit realm to take authority over the kingdoms of the earth, the kingdoms of darkness and to make bidding in the Kingdom of heaven.
The New Jerusalem is our final destination of the church that will be given to us to manifest the proclamation of the Lord that now the true worshippers will worship me in spirit and in truth.
We as a people of God have boundless access to our God and His kingdom. Our worship should be boundless to our God and our faith should be boundless in knowing that God has made ready a place for they that are prepared.
