What is Anatomy
anatome comes from the greek word Anthropos which means 'dissection') It is the study of the structure and internal workings of organisms - Autopsy
Human anatomy is a study of man
The Anatomy of God is the study of God
what is meant by man being created in the image of God.
Like God we were created in three parts
Body Soul and Spirit and
We can think, create and procreate
The Holy Spirit to the human spirit;
• And Jesus to the entire being – in him we live and breathe and have our being
When God created
• God spoke - and the World came into existence
• But when God formed man, He did it with His Own two hands.
• With laser sharp precision and superior craftsmanship. God, the Master designer, artfully, and skillfully formed man out of dirt act of God’s creation
• He meticulously and intricately designed organs and meganism’s and inter connected them with dependency on each other.
forming a synchronized life sustaining system,
• With TLC He breathed His Own Spirt into a lifeless corpse and
• He gave it the Spark of life.
o The heart started to beat,
o And man, became a living soul
PSALM 8:4-5 WHEN I CONSIDER YOUR HEAVENS, THE WORK OF YOUR FINGERS,
THE MOON AND THE STARS, WHICH YOU HAVE ORDAINED,
4 WHAT IS MAN THAT YOU ARE MINDFUL OF HIM,
AND THE SON OF MAN THAT YOU VISIT[C] HIM?
5 FOR YOU HAVE MADE HIM A LITTLE LOWER THAN [D]THE ANGELS,

Let’s Face it - We
• We were supernaturally created
• With supernatural abilities that cannot be explained by science
We were created in the Image of God!
• With a mind, a Spirit and a soul
• We have thoughts – feelings – emotions
• and a conscience
Adam was supernaturally created with a Spiritual Nature which enabled him to be
• Indwelled by the HS
• To be Born again
o born of the Sprit
o Born of God
Humans were created perfect
We
• Can reason
• make moral choices
• Contemplate our own life,
• Be indwelled by the HS of God
• We can become one with God – (HAIT)How awesome is that
Only Humans have the ability to have a
o Spiritual connection and
o Personal relationship with God
Only humans
• Can be inspired
• Have the freedom of choice
• and the gift of eternal life
Only humans have a God shaped void (can you feel it?) no other creature can
We do not function by instinct, do we?
Well, let’s not talk about that sixth sense
Your life and your mental capacities, is unique and superior to all other life forms
• The Brain is the control center of the body (Mission control)
• It is the commander and chief of its own cellular defense system.
The brain have billions of neurons and trillions of synaptic connections
• It constantly generates new connections and alters old ones - this is called neuroplasticity
• Neuroplasticity enables humans to rapidly
• acquire new skills
• learn new information and
• Grow in knowledge and intelligence (you can loose a part of the brain and the other parts will take the functions over)
• The brain uses systems that create optimal life-sustaining environments to maintain hemostasis.
The role of homeostasis
• Is To Monitor, to regulate
• And to sustain life
• And to heal itself
It regulates and controls all systems and body functions
Through homeostasis, the brain regulates
• Blood pressure,
• Core body temperature,
• Water distribution
• Oxygen control and
• The distribution of vitamins and minerals explain about heat around the neck and cold)
• Hemostasis is also responsible for excreting waste and gas
Like Someone once said, and I quote:
“better out than in I always say” (Schreck said that)
• The nervous system is a genetic unit which originated from a single embryonic neuroblast of a cell
• It is a functional unit of conduction through electricity, nerves and neuro pathways
• Our DNA is the blueprint for life
One cell contains the entire genetic code needed to create a healthy unique and functioning human being
The brain have the ability to use the body to make interactions and interconnections between DNA, proteins, blood and oxygen to produce a healthy human baby

The Newborn baby is perfect! (Except for the leaking and wining of course)
A newborn baby is A unique individual, with its own
• Life
• Blood
• Personality
• Character
• Temperament
• Spirit
• Humans are unmatched in their complexity and mental abilities
We have abilities such as memory, language, speech and thought
And you have been designed to have
• creativity, emotion, and spirituality and
The Uniqueness of the Human Body not only offers convincing evidence for intelligent design but also of overdesign.
Sophisticated facial expressions communicate
• passions
• feelings and
• emotions
you don’t need that to function
Humans wer made in the image of God.
Humans are unmatched in their abilities to move and to balance.
When a gymnast or ice skater twists and turns, balances spins, jumps, and flips,
o the body integrates information from numerous systems – such as vision motion and equilibrium and sensation.
o it also uses the properties of nature such as inertia, momentum, and gravity.
All of these systems are controlled by the brain
Hands is another outstanding example of overdesign
• The functions of our hands are extremely versatile.
• hand muscle movements range from powerful force production and precision grips
• to fine motor skills to accurately perform detailed tasks
These movements goes far beyond the skills needed for survival.
This is what they call overdesign
Another example of overdesign is the index finger.
• The index finger
o Has seven muscles that controls it and
o It is capable of moving in more than 100 different positions.
• With more than a 100 trillion combinations
Did you know that?
Now Lets talk about irreducible complexity
• An irreducible complex system is a system that depend on several interacting parts that acts in unison to function properly.
• the system cannot come into being, exist or function without having all of the parts together at the same time - at creation
• Irreducible complexity is an “all-or-nothing” proposition.
• all systems must be in place at once and they must depend on each other to function – one without the other is not possible.
• If any of these parts are removed, the system ceases to function
One of the greatest examples is the design of the eye.
• The eye requires the precise movement of the
• cornea,
• pupil
• lens,
• Retina
• and the muscles
To function interdependently and
to have clear vision
All of these parts:
• must depend on each other
• move in perfect sequence and
• At the same time ,
• They must be connected and controlled by the brain.
At the speed of thought! May I add?
Now let’s think about another irresistibly complex system
o Biologically, the Church is described as a Body of Christ.
o different members are inter connected together to grow together and to mature (4:16).
o The brain depends on the body to fulfil its purpose,
o but Christ depends on the Church to function as His body and
o to fulfil His purposes
o Just as Christ depend on the HS to lead us to Himself
o So He depend on the Church to lead people to the Kingdom of God
The Church is
• The manifestation of the life of Christs
• Empowered by God
• Christ is the head of the Body (1:22; 5:23-24),
• He is the Savior (5:23- 24), and
• He gave His life for the church
• he loves and nurtures it (5:29).
• Christ gives Spiritual gifts to His Church. (name them)
Christ reveals himself to the world through His church
The mission and the vision of the church is to
• Share the love of Christ
• Take the Gospel to the world
• Unite all believers.
All who believe in Christ are part of His body.
EPH 2:19-22
19 NOW, THEREFORE, YOU ARE NO LONGER STRANGERS AND FOREIGNERS, BUT FELLOW CITIZENS WITH THE SAINTS AND MEMBERS OF THE HOUSEHOLD OF GOD, 20 HAVING BEEN BUILT ON THE FOUNDATION OF THE APOSTLES AND PROPHETS, JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF BEING THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE, 21 IN WHOM THE WHOLE BUILDING, BEING FITTED TOGETHER, GROWS INTO A HOLY TEMPLE IN THE LORD, 22 IN WHOM YOU ALSO ARE BEING BUILT TOGETHER FOR A DWELLING PLACE OF GOD IN THE SPIRIT.
Ephesians 5:30 “For we are members of his body.”
(John 17:21, NLT). Jesus prayed and said, “I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me”
That prayer came true:
1 Corinthians 12:12–21: 12 as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—and have all been made to drink [g]into one Spirit.
The church is the bride of Christ
• Just as a man becomes one with his bride,
o So Christ is one with His bride
o Through the church we become one in Christ
? we in Him and Him in us.
We are the Church
Eph 1:22-23 Christ is the head over the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
We, God's fellow-laborer’s are living stones that are being fitly built together and raised-up into the magnificent superstructure that is the Church - the Body of Christ - the dwelling-place of the Lord of the Harvest.
9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.
16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone [a]defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
FINISHED (the church)
Hospital
SOMEONE HAS SAID, I DO NOT LIKE HOSPITALS, HOSPITALS ARE FULL OF SICK PEOPLE
Yes, A hospital is for sick people
The church is Gods hospital
God is the Master Physician
He is a Specialist
God did some tests
The diagnosis is clear
• Your terminally ill
• You are sin invested
• Your sins - Separated you from - God
See, The devil is a thief and a liar
He came to steal kill and destroy.
But God wants to heal you
The devil - cuts to steal but
God Cuts to heal
God is a Surgeon.
He wants to perform a – Sinindectomy
God wants to separate the supreme object of his hatred – which is Sin
form the supreme object of his love – which is You!
And He is able, Why?
Hebrews 4:12
12 For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “

I know your works, you

There is Healing in His wings
What will it help you if:
• Gain the world – Loose soul
• Or What will you give in exchange for your soul?
You will die in your sins
Let your mind be single,
Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says:
“Today, if you will hear His voice,
8 harden not your hearts
My son, give attention to my words and
Incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; but in prayer and supplication, let your requests be made known to God
The prayer of a righteous availeth much.”
See, I have set before you an open door, [f]and no one can shut it;

26 Ponder the path of your feet,
And let all your ways be established.

Matt 11:28 31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Conclusion:
It is an astronomical privilege to be created in the Image of God.
The study of the human body inspires us to praise, encourage us to deeper reflect on God and His creation, and to Glorify His Name
The anatomical structures and physiological functions awakens a sense of awe and wonder as we ponder His exquisite, deliberate, and intentional design
We can only stand back and say: How Great is our God -We are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image – God -
IF God designed us this wonderful, think about the verses that says,
• It has not yet been revealed what we would be but when we see him we shall be like Him
• We will receive Glorified bodies
2 Pet 1:5-10 for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control [d]perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither [e]barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Robert Munger imaginatively describes the Christian life as a house.
When Jesus enters, He goes from room to room.
• In the library of our minds, Christ sorts through the garbage, cleaning out the worthless trash.
• In the kitchen, he deals with our unhealthy appetites and sinful desires.
• At the dining room table, He serves us the bread of life to satisfy our hungry souls and pours living water for us to drink and never be thirsty again.
• Through dark hallways and closets, Jesus uncovers all the places where sin hides. In the living room He fellowhips with us
• In the pantry we store up treasures
• In the inner room and the closet He hear our prayers
He works His way through every nook and cranny until His love, mercy, forgiveness, and grace have filled every space. This allegory presents a beautiful picture of what it means to have Christ in us.
He moves in, but He will not overstay His welcome.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
