INTRODUCTION:
The mother of King Lemuel prophesied to her son the precious value of a woman that he should find to be a wife to him. The proverbial woman is a profound, prophetic and prescribed type of woman created for purpose to her husband, family, community and nation.
She is not to be confused with what the world would call perfection or a perfectionist. She is but a woman that the hands of God have created to take her rightful place and position in the kingdom of God as a helper to the will and plan of God through the man of God that God has ordained and set as the spiritual authority over a household, family, church, community and nation.
The book of Proverbs has many teachings about wisdom and wise living. Wise living needs wisdom as a carrier to live on the earth. Women is often associated with wisdom in the Bible as it is described and personifies as “she”.
As I share on the Proverbial woman we will see two types of woman; one of the flesh and the other of the Spirit.
A woman born of the Flesh by Adam and A woman born of the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ.
1. A WOMAN OF VIRTUE:
PROV. 31 VS 10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
a. The word virtuous is translated from the Hebrew word CHAYIL. Thus, Chayil in its original framework is ESHET CHAYIL meaning woman of VALOR. It is great courage in the face of danger, especially in battle. It implies bravery & courage—doing what frightens you. (THE CHAYIL WOMAN written by Stella Payton).
b. The worth of a woman with these prophetic values. Prophetic means that it is embedded in the spiritual realm to be pulled out and demonstrated in the natural. Prayer and supplication.
c. The virtue in making decisions based not for self but for the greater good. Holy Spirit as guide and counsel.d. The virtue to shed off the sinful nature of Eve and take on the nature of Christ Jesus. The woman that was taken out of the man Genesis 2:22-24 is now birthed out of the side of Christ John 19:34.
e. All of mankind has access to the virtue the strength of the Bride of Christ. Strength is the main attribute of the Church to administer to the weak.
2. A WOMAN OF WISDOM:
PROV 31 VS 26 26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
a. A woman of wisdom speaks prophetically, profoundly and potently.
Proverbs 4:5-7 5 Get wisdom, understand: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. 6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
b. Effecting change in her home, her community and her nation. Through her family, friends, relatives, church and neighbors.
c. A woman of God: seeking the Lord, hidden and wrapped up in the arms of the Holy Ghost.
d. She is skillful in business. She is skillful with her hands. She is well able and prepared to meet the day ahead with physical and spiritual food for her family. She is a wise builder financially and constructively.
e. She is a mender and a knitter of her marriage and children to God the Father. Her body is a temple and not an entertainment Centre. She is clothed in with righteousness and she is covered with the blood drawn from the veins of our Lord Jesus Christ. SHE IS THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD.
3. A WOMAN OF WORTH
Proverbs 31;28-31 28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
a. A woman of good integrity that speaks to situations and circumstances to bring peace and comfort.
b. A woman that works hard to promote her family to their greatest of potential and growth. Her needs comes after and not before.
c. A woman of humility causes her works and charge of the atmosphere of love and soundness of mind to be felt. Matthew 26 The praise and the love that was poured on Christ Jesus by Mary was felt and known in the entire room.
d. A woman of Love for God and People.
e. A Woman that can warfare in the spirit and claim her rights to the promises of the Father.
f. A woman of many gifts and its diversity of life, love, the Kingdom of God , the treasures of the earth, the will of God, the Man of God, the community, the nation and the nations of the earth.
CONCLUSION:
The Church is termed as the Bride of Christ. A woman adorned to meet her love to a marriage. Christ Jesus gives a greater insight to the woman and her worth as she is wonderfully being prepared to take her rightful place with the Lord in eternity. She is a virtuous woman righteous and holy set apart for His glory.
There are no mistakes in the creation of the woman to bring great value to the body of Christ. The love, the wisdom, the virtue and grace of the church will win the hearts of many in the world to Christ. As a woman strives to become the prophetic virtuous woman so to the church should strive to become all that God has ordained it to be.
