Summary: God will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth. We have the privilege to "lose on earth" when we meet certain conditions – We must obey God’s commandment completely, PARTIAL OBEDIENCE IS ACTUAL DISOBEDIENCE.

WHATEVER YOU LOSE ON EARTH SHALL BE LOOSED IN HEAVEN

“And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth, shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 16:19).

“And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain” (Mark 7:35).

The Almighty God created the heavens and earth (Genesis 1:1) and made heaven to be His throne while the earth his footstool (Isaiah 66:1). The heaven, even the heavens are the Lord’s” (Psalm 115:16); and “the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof.” (Psalm 24:1). He sustains all things by the word of his power, both in heaven above and in the earth beneath.

He does as he pleases (Psalm 115:3) in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth, according to His will and Purpose. It is God’s desire that we are set free so that we can serve him effectively. Jesus Christ delivered the deaf and mute man, made his ears to be opened and his tongue loosed as well (Mark 7:34-35).

In our last series - THE GATES MUST BE OPENED , we discussed that a spiritual deaf and dumb man cannot serve God effectively, until the gates are opened unto him. The man’s deliverance was perfected in Heaven, Jesus had to look to heaven, waited on a heavenly command to bring an instant healing. “And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him. Ephphatha, that is, be opened.” (Mark 7:34)

Heaven has a great role to play in human’s complete deliverance from the shackles of Satan; the final authority comes from heaven.

“And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the LORD, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth; (Hosea 2:21); “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 16:19).

Heaven and earth were created by the same God, and are sustained by the same power, and governed from the same throne; and they must declare the glory of God (Psalm 19:1). Jesus reigns both among angels, and men; for he is Lord of all.

In the Beginning, the God of heaven walked in Paradise with Adam (Genesis 3:8), when all things on earth were then pure, and true, and happy. Then earth’s morning song was heard in heaven, and heaven’s hallelujahs floated down to earth at eventide. His will was done in the garden of Eden, and God wants His will to be done in our life and ministry, so that He can walk in our paradise.

IT MUST BE LOOSED IN HEAVEN

He has anointed His ministers as a flaming fire (Psalm 104:4), to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; (Isaiah 61:1) so that His will can be done on earth, as it is in Heaven. (Matthew 6:10).

He gave a good assurance of support to His servants to perfect the deliverance of those that are bound. Those that will carry out this task must also fulfill certain conditions.

He who loses another must not be tied. Can a man in police handcuffs release another fellow in handcuffs? It is not possible because they are both bound.

A CHOIR that's bound cannot bring down the glory of God in songs until they are loosed from the sway of talkativeness.” He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction” (Proverbs 13:3).

AN EVANGELIST cannot function effectively and exercise his gifts unless he's loosed in heaven from Pride. “God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble” (James 4:6).

The will of the Lord is done right and humbly in Heaven; and perfect purity is set in a frame of lowliness. Too often we fall into self-gratulation, and it defiles our best deeds. We whisper to ourselves, “I did that very well.” We flatter ourselves that there was no "self" in our conduct, but while we are laying that flattering unction to our souls, we are lying, as our self-contentment proves.

“And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus, I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? “(Acts 19:15).

God cannot set us upon the pinnacle if we don’t humble ourselves before Him. Brethren, Let's pray that the Lord will keep us low at his feet; so that He can used us for the expansion of His work on earth.

A PROPHET cannot prophesy nor see visions clearly unless he's freed in heaven from all impurities. APOSTLES are sent to make disciples of all nations and to take the gospel to the unreached people. They are regarded as Holy men, who convey God’s messages to the people. “Be ye holy; for I am holy”. (1Peter 1:16).

A TEACHER cannot teach the truth if he’s bound in the sand of lies and hatred. How can we teach the love of God when we have hatred dwelling in our hearts? There is no place for haters in Heaven; they are regarded as murderers.” Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him” (1John 3:15).

” In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine, shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you” (Titus 2:7-8).

A PASTOR that is swimming in the ocean of sin or disobedience cannot lead the sheep aright. We shouldn’t choose the commandment to be obeyed and lay other commandments by as non-essential. A certain part of obedience is hard, and therefore we try to forget it. It must no longer be so; but whatsoever Jesus, saith unto us, we must do. PARTIAL OBEDIENCE IS ACTUAL DISOBEDIENCE.

We must respect the whole law. If anything, be the will of the Lord, we have no choice in the matter, the choice is made by our Lord. Let us pray that we may neither misunderstand the Lord’s will, nor forget it, nor violate it.

Have we omitted a part of the Lord’s will? This may have been hindering our ministry growth and success these years; possibly there is something written by the pen of inspiration which we have not read, or something read that we have not practiced; and this may hold back the arm of the Lord from working. We should often make diligent search and go through our churches to see wherein we differ from the divine pattern. Let us not neglect anything which our God commands lest he withhold his blessing.

“Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Remember therefore, how thou hast received and heard, and held fast, and repented. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come upon thee as a thief; and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee” (Revelation 3:3-4).

“Let us be faithful to God. The Lord knoweth them that are His (2Timothy 2:19)”

CONCLUSION

What we have bound on earth is bound on heaven. What we have loosed on earth is also loosed on heaven. It is a happy privilege that we can lose the bound one. When repentance is expressed, when the backslider is restored, when the church has reason to believe that the work of the Spirit is truly in the heart of the offender, then the bond is loosed on earth, and it is also loosed in heaven.

The Lord has taken the keys of his royal treasury and put them into the hand of faith. He has taken his sword from the scabbard and given it into the hand of the man mighty in prayer. He seems at times to have placed his sovereign scepter in the hand of prayer. “Ask me concerning things to come concerning my sons; command ye me.” (Isaiah 45:11). He permits us to speak with such boldness and daring that we overcome heaven by prayer, and dare to say to the covenant angel, “I will not let thee go except thou bless me.” (Genesis 32:26). Our Prayer should be, I will not let you go except thou lose me from these bondages. If Jacob can prevail over a wrestling angel, then we can also prevail.

Brethren, we need to be freed in Heaven by God’s Authority from all bondages that stagnate our ministries, that make our work unfruitful.

LET US BE -

LOOSED so that the tongue of the dumb sings (Isaiah 35:6).

LOOSED to enable us “Preach the word, and be instant in season, out of season; to reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine (2 Timothy 4:2).

LOOSED to make us know our God and be strong and do exploits. (Daniel 11:32).

LOOSED to expand our ministry and have exponential church growth; “Praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved” (Acts 2:47).

LOOSED to enable us to preach the kingdom of God, and teach those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding us (Acts 28:31).

LOOSED so that “The LORD can open unto us his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto our land in his season, and to bless all the work of our hand: and we shall lend unto many nations, and not borrow again” (Deuteronomy 28:12).

LOOSED so that God may make us to be pillars in His temple (Revelation 3:12); called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:9); and see his face; and his name shall be on our foreheads. (Revelation 22:4),

Heavenly Father, we thank you for your word that has removed all limitations to serve you effectively and win souls to your kingdom. Command our strings to be loosed so that we can speak plainly and proclaim the gospel to all nations of the world and make your name to be remembered in all generations. All glory be unto your Holy Name. In Jesus Name, we have prayed, Amen.

“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life and may enter in through the gates into the city" (Revelation 22:14).

“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen" (Revelation 22:21).
