1 Samuel 2:7, NIV: The LORD sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts.
1 Samuel 2:7, NLT: The LORD makes some poor and others rich; he brings some down and lifts others.
HOW TO MAKE MORE MONEY THIS YEAR
Today's passage will not only show you how to make money this year but will teach you how to be lifted in life. It will tell you how to receive a promotion from God.
Can God trust you with Money and promotion? How are you going to behave when God make you so rich and prosperous in life? What about when He makes you the richest person in your family and society? How are you going to treat people when the Almighty sets you up in a top position?
This passage is telling us that when it comes to riches and promotion in life, the God of heaven is in charge. He is the only reason to become rich, prosperous, promoted or become poorer and humiliated.
God is searching for people with whom He can entrust His wealth. He is looking for people to set them up in top positions so that they can use His wealth and position to help the Church including the poor and needy.
How often do you pay your tithe? When was the last you gave money to support the Church? Life is all about humility. Your bank account and good business is not the reason to boast or see others as useless.
This Scripture tells us that it is God who turns rich men poor and poor men rich. He is also the one who brings people down to promote others. This year may the Almighty make you prosperous and promote you above your enemies.
Why would the Almighty make some people go poor and others are richer in life? Why will God demote some people and make other people be promoted? Pride and arrogance. Failure to help the poor and needy people in the Church and society cannot be exempted from the multiple reasons and root cause.
2 Corinthians 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake, he became poor so that you through his poverty might become rich.
Are you ready to fund the kingdom work with your money and resources? God is looking for people with that character and mentality to make them rich and great.
The Almighty can depress, sink and humiliate affluent people in society and render them poor to nothing. He is also able to make people out of nothing to somebody great, wealthy and prominent.
Let us humble ourselves before the Lord and regardless of what we are and what we have in life, we should know that there is nothing we have in this life that God did not give us.
The people that God will render poor are rich and boastful people who don't have any regard for God and humanity because of their wealth and position in society.
In Deuteronomy 8:18 Moses reminds us, “But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth.”
So why should you become so boastful, stingy and arrogant because of the money you have and the good days you are seeing today? Listen, time changes and nothing on earth is permanent. It is better to use what you have to promote the work of God and help others than to be parading yourself about like your money can buy you extra life on earth apart from the years God has given.
There is an exodus of people who are in the cemetery right now that are much richer and famous than you. A lot of people have left their better families, mansions including properties of lands, businesses and big-time investments to be sleeping in their graves.
Psalms 50:9?-?12 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds. For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.??
When you grasp the truth that God owns everything, giving becomes easy. When God asks you for anything, He is only asking you to give to Him what rightfully belongs to Him. We own nothing. All things are of God. Anyone who holds back from God is not wise.
Work hard and become successful in life but don’t think of yourself as better than others because of your material wealth.
When you know that all wealth and riches belong to God, you would not need to go to the devil to seek wealth. Wealth belongs to God. If you want wealth, go to God to teach you how to get wealth for it is he who gives us the power to get wealth.
The devil does not have wealth. Whatever he claims he has is false. It is sad to see folks go to the devil to seek wealth – he does not have any.
Remember that everything the devil says is a lie. You have to believe whatever God has said in His word concerning wealth and riches. The gold and silver belong to God. Haggai 2:8 says, “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts.” Hallelujah!
Let us humble ourselves and use the little or more money that God has given us wisely and not like the foolish so-called rich man Jesus advised us about. God claims ownership of everything that is in this world. We have to appreciate that.
We are only caretakers of God’s inheritance. When you know this very well, you will be a humble person. Because you will realise that, everything that you own is God’s.
In essence, we do not own anything. We are all products of God’s grace and mercy. Even your very life belongs to God.
How much more is your substance?
Psalms 24:1?-?2 says, “The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.”?
Finally, 1 Timothy 6:17-18 offers divine instructions for the wealthy among us.
The passage reads:
“Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.”
Don’t become arrogant. Work hard and become successful in life but don’t think of yourself as better than others because of your material wealth.
In Deuteronomy 8:18 Moses reminds us, “But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth.” 1 Timothy 6:17-18
Don’t put your hope in your wealth. Proverbs 23:5 says, “Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.” A good job or business and its steady earnings can be here today and gone tomorrow.
Be rich in good deeds. A good deed is a free and voluntary act of service toward another person. Doing good deeds for others is the fruit of your salvation in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:10 tells us: “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works.”
Be generous and willing to share. Generous people are synergistic. They build organizations and contribute to the success of others. Think about it: who wants to do business with someone who only takes?
conclusion: f you are reading this article you are already wealthy by God’s Standard wealth and promotion. Honour him with your worldly success. Enjoy the things God has sent your way while being respectful of others, rich in good deeds, and generous with the less fortunate.
In so doing the Almighty Himself shall bless you with so much money and promotion shall be your portion anywhere you go, longevity and good help shall be a bonus! Aleichem!
