7 figure salary
Genesis 24:11 He made the camels kneel down outside the city by the well of water at evening time, the time when women go out to draw water. 12 He said, "O LORD, the God of my master Abraham, please grant me success today, and show lovingkindness to my master Abraham.
Juicy title! I bet many will open my devotion today just to see what the title means : 7 FIGURE SALARY! Alas, Such is the greed for money today! Many bigger corporate companies and MNCs pay their employees 7 or more than 7 figure salary along with performance-based incentives every month. A typical 7 figure salary pays you anything around 10,00,000 to INR 99,99,999 per month in India. Crazy earning goals right? If you are someone who is fanatic and obsessed about 7 figure salary, then my sermon would be insipid and bland because I am going to talk about prayer-goals which would fetch you much more than your 7 figure salary. I tell you I am thrilled as I type this sermon because I have seen classy-corridors of multinational bank, cabins and plum positions, I surrendered my cushy job with an MNC to work in the Lord’s vineyard, God has blessed me immeasurably to feed countless number of poor people and sit in a seat of honor given by my God, He would bless you too! Glory to god! Now listen please…..
Abraham’s servant Eliezer has learnt the art of prayer from his boss Abraham, we have great lessons from his short prayer.
Patience: Eliezer made the 10 camels to kneel down, camels kneel down to rest and to refresh, which reveals that Eliezer was in no hurry to move but he was prepared to wait to see the outcome. Likewise , we need to determine our hearts to wait upon God and obey the leading of the Holy Spirit. The Lord said: Psalm 46:10” "Be still and know that I am God!” This word is for someone out there!
Right place: Eliezer did not aimlessly wander but he stood at the right place where the women of the city come to draw water. His ears were glued to the voice of God!
Faith: He prayed, ‘O Lord the God of my master Abraham, please grant me success today. Eliezer had watched Isaac born, watched the intimate walk of his master Abraham with God, he also followed his foot steps. We need to also be a good example for people who are watching us.
