We've got to live our lives in truth! We have seen many religious people in this world who pretend to be Holy but they have only outward righteousness but inward they are filthy rags. They try to project an image of holiness or religiousness, not because they truly live a holy and righteous life, but because they think that's what the church expects them to be like. To such people, this is what Jesus said "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness."
If Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14), many wicked evil people disguised themselves as the apostles of Christ; and they appear to be very enthusiastic workers of God, ministers of righteousness; but actually, they are being the servants of Satan have the appearance of sanctity, but inwardly they are evil, greedy, corrupted, dangerous, sex-starved hypocrites, boastful, manipulative, exploitative bearing evil fruits which of the devil. we know many religious people claim to be holy but their behavior is filled with anger, arrogance, jealousy, bitterness, vindictiveness, implacability, hatred, adultery, immorality, envy, pettiness, guilt feelings etc
Jesus said that we can discern these people who claim as Holy people of God and their teachings by the fruit they produce. Every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and burned". (Matthew 3: 10)
These people deceitfully transform themselves as Holy priests, Holy Pastors, Holy prophets and Holy Woman of God making a show of righteousness by presiding over vain religious ceremonies and using the name of God to suit their purposes. In truth, they’re the children of the devil doing devil's work and its main purpose is to take many people to hell with them. Outward they may pretend to be holy, in personal private life they are committing horrific crimes against others secretly and in a hidden way. When you question them they will cover up their evil and depraved actions. Many innocent people are having been abused by such religious people, we know so many abuses and scandals have been covered up in churches both Catholics and non-Catholic churches.
Pretending to be someone else and living like that is a total deception. We fail to show who we truly are. Because of this, we live a deceptive lifestyle, fooling everybody who believes in us. If we live a pretentious life, we won't be able to fulfill God's will and purpose for us. These religious people claiming to be saved and yet have lost their souls and are rebellion against God, believing that they are pleasing to God.
James 1:26, says: "If you claim to be religious but don't control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless.
In Leviticus 10:9-11 - God commanded priests not to drink so that they could tell the difference between the holy and the unholy.
But how many Clergies are alcoholic? How many of them do you found them in therapies or Rehabs?
But how many clergies have become alcoholics? Alcohol and drugs have become a part of social interactions for many of them all over the world. One can google them or see them around us.
The same people attack accuse different denominations or faiths and have become the accusers of brethren violating to love one another and to come in unity with Christ as Christ died for all.
These people cause division in church, preaching lukewarmness and ungodliness in their churches and compromising moral standards. They wrongly interpret by twisting the Scriptures and taking out of context and preaching their own denomination by teaching another gospel with their false visions and false miracles which is not of God.
Their Preaching of the gospel has no power to save anyone from sin because they are empty boasters, promote, exalt, and glorify themselves because the preachers themselves have a form of godliness, preaching what people want to hear, not what God wants them to hear and avoiding the issues of sin and its consequences, repentance, regeneration, holy living, hell, and judgment.
These people are either not truly saved or they have received the Holy Spirit but yet they reject its conviction and continue to follow after their fleshly desires (GALATIANS 5:16, GALATIANS 5:24 , ROMANS 8:8). Either way, they are going to perish unless they repent because all sin leads to death (ROMANS 6:16, JAMES 1:15). We only live in our flesh when we reject the Holy Spirit. That's why the scripture clearly tells us that the Children of God are those who "ARE LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD" (ROMANS 8:14). And those who are led by the flesh are of the Devil (1 JOHN 3:6-9). That's why Jesus said in (JOHN 10:27) "My sheep hear my voice [HOLY SPIRIT] and I know them, and they follow Me".
Hence, 1 Peter 4:18 says For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begins at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
There are huge numbers of religious people will be shocked and unprepared on Judgment Day. Even though they have spent a lifetime serving their religion, churches, etc. they’ll be thrown into the Lake of flame perpetually (Matthew 7:21–23).
Indeed, even the majority of the religious people have turned out to be wickedly pleased, rebellious, unholy, unthankful and lovers of Money and greediness. Philippians 2:21 says “For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.
Many religious people claiming as Prophets and Gods apostles are preaching Hidden Heresies, preaching another gospel, vain man-made doctrines, rules and regulations and some of them are pedophiles. These people are carnal, not spiritual, and grow out of human pride and from misinterpreting Bible, twisting scriptures according to them.
Many of these religious people hold high official positions of trust and authority, in their evil power they prey on, molest children’s, women and abuse them sexually. Today such unchaste and unholy False Pastors and Priests who are perverts have infiltrated, corrupted, and saturated with sins in most of the churches in the world, lacking appropriate personal behavior. Hence there are many scandals all-round the globe, Scandals involving the sexual abuse of under-age boys and girls have tremendously increased. Their Positions, Titles, Authority and Power in the society have become too easily and too often used to prey on vulnerable young people.
This is why the Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12 that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual wickedness in high places and against the rulers of the darkness of this world. The Devil is behind the evil forces and evil authority and Power. Many of these religious people are themselves desensitized to their own sins and pretend to be Godly outside. Under the influence of religious sins, we become dangerously pleased with our own spiritual performance and become judgmental of others in our perceived superiority. This ultimately results in conflict with God, for “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6). These Religious People when they become habitual sinners can provide with an outward appearance of loving God, even as they cripple their capacity to truly be changed by transforming grace.
We all know even Apostle Paul struggled with the flesh daily (Romans 7:14–25). There is no such thing as a Christian who doesn’t struggle with sin. Those who think they are above sin are self-righteous hypocrites. They are the ones who pervert the Gospel and demand for lost sinners to clean up their life. Though the Bible warns against those who preach or do God’s work deceitfully or for personal gain, this has not stopped many pseudo-apostles, lying preachers, and crooked prophets from posing as Christ’s agents.
Here are what scriptures say: How terrible it will be for you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites………. you are so full of greed and self-indulgence”!! Matt 23:25
“Beware of these teachers of religious law! For they love to parade in flowing robes and to have everyone bow to them as they walk in the market places. And how they love the seats of honor in the synagogues and at banquets. But they shamelessly cheat widows out of their property, and then to cover up the kind of people they really are, they make long prayers in public. Because of this, their punishment will be the greater.” Mark 12:38–40.
