Really? Nowhere in the bible, the WORD OF GOD, can anyone see this fact. But this fact stays the same:
Proverbs 17:22 A happy heart is good medicine {and} a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.
Happy heart or a glad heart is good medicine. Someone's making it glad and not something. The LORD JESUS Joy is the reason for the gladness of heart and the mind of CHRIST. Actually JESUS is our All in All.
Proverbs 3:8 It shall be health to your nerves {and} sinews, and marrow {and} moistening to your bones.
Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the mind and healing to the body.
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is our Pleasant WORDS Himself, The Second Person in the Trinity is our Vitamins, Minerals (The LORD JESUS CHRIST is sometimes called The Rock of All Ages), and Medicine. Just remember vitamins are always sweet and medicine is always bitter. Don't underestimate the WORD OF GOD to heal us but it will taste bitter but actually sweet to the Mind of CHRIST.
Proverbs 27:7 He who is satiated [with sensual pleasures] loathes {and} treads underfoot a honeycomb, but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.
Revelations 10:9 So I went up to the angel and asked him to give me the little book. And he said to me, Take it and eat it. It will embitter your stomach, though in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.
Revelations 10:10 So I took the little book from the angel's hand and ate {and} swallowed it; it was as sweet as honey in my mouth, but once I had swallowed it, my stomach was embittered.
The LORD JESUS kept us alive is our cry of testimony. We always take our Medicine (The WORD OF GOD) day and night. We believe the LORD JESUS CHRIST is our Maintainer not the things of this world. You see the heart of man cannot be trusted for it's a deceiver.
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly perverse {and} corrupt and severely, mortally sick! Who can know it [perceive, understand, be acquainted with his own heart and mind]?
Proverbs 14:13 Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful, and the end of mirth is heaviness {and} grief.
Because it might fail you if you are just plain, earthly happy and we know people that died because of heart attack because of too much honey, too much worldly happiness kills (Proverbs 27:7a) but gladness of heart is good medicine because gladness of heart came from the LORD JESUS CHRIST Himself and from the HOLY SPIRIT.
Proverbs 27:9 Oil and perfume rejoice the heart; so does the sweetness of a friend's counsel that comes from the heart.
1 John 2:27 But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him abides [permanently] in you; [so] then you have no need that anyone should instruct you. But just as His anointing teaches you concerning everything and is true and is no falsehood, so you must abide in (live in, never depart from) Him [being rooted in Him, knit to Him], just as [His anointing] has taught you [to do].
Zechariah 4:6 Then he said to me, This [addition of the bowl to the candlestick, causing it to yield a ceaseless supply of oil from the olive trees] is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of Whom the oil is a symbol], says the Lord of hosts.
So the next time someone says "Laughter is the best medicine" , let it be corrected, no it's not but a glad heart is good medicine. The glad heart is JESUS Himself who is the Healer of our soul, not our heart which deceives us and can't be trusted. Trust GOD the LORD JESUS CHRIST and He will see you through not men.
Isaiah 12:2 Behold, God, my salvation! I will trust and not be afraid, for the Lord God is my strength and song; yes, He has become my salvation.
Jeremiah 17:5 Thus says the Lord: Cursed [with great evil] is the strong man who trusts in {and} relies on frail man, making weak [human] flesh his arm, and whose mind {and} heart turn aside from the Lord.
Jeremiah 17:6 For he shall be like a shrub {or} a person naked and destitute in the desert; and he shall not see any good come, but shall dwell in the parched places in the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land.
Jeremiah 17:7 [Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, {and} relies on the Lord, and whose hope {and} confidence the Lord is.
