Wow...Faith Did That?
Psalms 68:1-3 NKJ
Let God arise,
Let His enemies be scattered;
Let those also who hate Him flee before Him.
2 As smoke is driven away,
So drive them away;
As wax melts before the fire,
So let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
3 But let the righteous be glad;
Let them rejoice before God;
Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly.
When was the last time you gave God a need and rejoiced exceedingly about it? What kept you from rejoicing in the fact, God was finally in charge of the results? TBS the joy of the Lord is our strength!
The devil has stolen so much joy so many times from Gods children and the church, we seldom even experience joy and the strength that stems from the Lords Joy, even when we are Graced to stand in the Almighty’s ability and assurance of Victory, we won’t!
The devil has stolen the church’s and Gods peoples Joy so many times, if Joy bit us on the nose, some of us wouldn’t even realize it! It’s like having access to a waterfall when you’re thirsty, but your dying of thirst because aren’t aware of your surroundings and the benefits of its vast capabilities!
Gods children and the church have become a valley of dry bones and for the most part in affective against the continual onslaught of the spiritual ware fare we witness every day, we have been both created and equipped to overcome victoriously!
A prosperous abundant life is not just one of finances, money can’t buy everything! Joy, peace, strength, happiness, sound mind and the blessing of the Lord are all part of Gods prosperity He has created for His Children to live and walk in to inhabit!!
Far to many in the church are living in religious poverty, instead of trusting and leaning on the amazing relationship they have been given!
Gods not to blame for this dilemma, we are!
Is their anyone here who has a need in their life? And your feeling like your in the fight of your life? You've done all you know to do to no avail, but you're just so tired of fighting!
Let me ask your question, why are you the one still doing the fighting? It’s time to let our joy in the strength of the peace which passes understanding, fight and not only fight like we’re accustomed too, but to WIN and WIN consistently for a change!!
We hear the message God has for us, but still far to many continually chase the tail of self effort and ineffectiveness and rarely realize victory, if at all!
Enough is enough! God has made us the head and not the tail! If we don’t start to pursue what God has given us now and going forward, will we ever?
The MSG says it like this;
Up with God! Down with his enemies!
Adversaries, run for the hills!
Gone like a puff of smoke, like a blob of wax in the fire—
one look at God and the wicked vanish.
When the righteous see God in action
they’ll laugh, they’ll sing,
they’ll laugh and sing for joy.
Sing hymns to God; all heaven, sing out;
clear the way for the coming of Cloud-Rider.
Enjoy God, cheer when you see him!
For the believer who is able to get what God is saying here down in their heart, down deep and woven into the fabric of their soul. They don’t fear the battles at hand, or the ones they will face in the future either!
It’s like their daily theme song is (tune of camptown races) always, “Guess who’s going to fight my battle today? Jesus! Guess who’s going to WIN MY BATTLES TODAY? JESUS, ALL DAY LONG!”
If you can believe?? This can be your theme song too!
Some may laugh and it’s a sad thought, but if their holding you back, let them laugh! But I’m telling you, even more importantly Gods word is saying to stop what you’re doing and listen!
“If God’s Word declares it’s possible”, why not start living for a change in the realm of what is possible for a while, instead of continually accepting what the world and the accuser is saying and what you think is impossible?
Talk about giving God opportunity to turn your life upside down and around for His Glory and your benefit!! This is a description that can be any and all of Gods children whoever were, are and will ever be a child of the One True King!!
This isn’t a fairy tale of make believe, as the accuser would have you think! We are talking about a prosperous possible life here!
This is Gods promise, not mine, or ours to deliver! If you can believe, this can be and is reality, because Gods Word declares it!
A Glorious life, living the abundant life God has provided for all!
There is nothing that god can’t do, everything is possible for him who believes, in the God of the impossible! (Repeat this often and use these “TRUTH PROCLAIMING WORDS” as part of your go to defense against the continual onslaught of attack the accuser throws your way, everyday!)
We are not responsible for results, and that’s how we should believe for our needs to be met! Dwell only on what God is capable of, not what you are capable of!!
This allows us to set the bar of expectation so much higher than our limited ability to deliver! This is how we will see our needs and those around us met!
Why does human nature say amen with one breathe and we got to keep fighting with the next? What ought to follow amen is, Let God arise and Let His enemies be scattered! When the righteous see God in action, they’ll laugh, they’ll sing, they’ll laugh and sing for joy.
Why? Because they know with God, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!! The greatest weapon that we have in the war against not only the enemy, but with everything we will ever face, is God himself! He’s the one who makes all things possible!
It’s in our human nature to fight, we just need to be more choosy with our limited ability and choose to only fight for the battle of faith and what God has promised!
Fighting the battle of faith is far more effective than the ability of self effort will ever be! And never forget to give the father, the son and the Holy Spirit all the glory for the role each of them play in bringing every need we have to fruition and completion!
Far too many always want to say when the dust has cleared from the battle, look what I have done. If we are to say anything, it should be “to God be the glory” and look what our measure and promise of faith in the God of everything possible has accomplished!
2 Chronicles 20:14-17 MSG.
Then Jahaziel was moved by the Spirit of God to speak from the midst of the congregation. (Jahaziel was the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah the Levite of the Asaph clan.) He said, “Attention everyone—all of you from out of town, all you from Jerusalem, and you King Jehoshaphat—God’s word: Don’t be afraid; don’t pay any mind to this vandal horde. This is God’s war, not yours.
I know this seems redundant, but we have to get away from our head knowledge of what we see, and only rely on the heart knowledge of what we know!
Heart knowledge of faith and trust in God, gives you the confidence to face whatever it is your facing, with Boldness! Because you realize, It has nothing to do with your ability, but it has everything to do with His!
Forget about all of your battles, they belong to the Lord! Focus on praising God for what he has promised and what he is going to do in your life, going forward! It doesn’t matter what happened yesterday, today is a brand new day of possibilities in what God wants to accomplish in your life!
Vs. 18-19 Then Jehoshaphat knelt down, bowing with his face to the ground. All Judah and Jerusalem did the same, worshiping God. The Levites (both Kohathites and Korahites) stood to their feet to praise God, the God of Israel; they praised at the top of their lungs!
I’m sorry, what did they do? They praised God, at the top of their lungs? Do you think a person would look foolish doing such a thing? Who cares! No one else but God is going to go to bat for you and be your advocate in every endeavor you face!
But sometimes I don’t feel like doing that! Ok, then don’t! You don’t have to, you can always go back to plan A and fight the battle all by yourself! But I must ask you, how's that been working out for you so far? How many victories do you have to your name?
How dare we not feel like singing the praises of someone who is willing to get in there and fight until their Victorious for us, each and every time we ask them to!
Has anyone ever became upset with someone, after you went out of your way to help them. Maybe even spent your blood, sweat and tears and they were completely thankless towards you?
Its not about what you feel, its never going to be about what you feel, so stop trying once and for all making it about the way you feel. If God had not promised to fight our battles for us, then and maybe only then, would I be concerned with the way I felt!
Because at that moment, what the majority of the church feels on a regular basis, would in fact be true and would be just cause to be concerned with what our limited ability was capable of!
The only mindset we need to be concerned with is the mindset that believes and says my God can do anything, anytime, anywhere He wants for me, because that is His Amazing promise to me!
Make it about what you know, what you know God is capable of! And what is God capable of? EVERYTHING!!!
What we may feel will change with the weather, but God TBS. changeth not! And that is all you need to know my friend!
Vs. 20. They were up early in the morning, ready to march into the wilderness of Tekoa. As they were leaving, Jehoshaphat stood up and said, “Listen Judah and Jerusalem! Listen to what I have to say! Believe firmly in God, your God, and your lives will be firm! Believe in your prophets and you’ll come out on top!”
21 After talking it over with the people, Jehoshaphat appointed a choir for God; dressed in holy robes, they were to march ahead of the troops, singing,
Give thanks to God,
His love never quits.
22-23 As soon as they (I’m sorry, how quick was Gods response time?) As soon as they started shouting and praising, (that very moment) God set ambushes against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir as they were attacking Judah, and they all ended up dead. The Ammonites and Moabites mistakenly attacked those from Mount Seir and massacred them. Then, further confused, they went at each other, and all ended up killed.
What did they do? They put every ounce of their faith and trust in God and praised God for what God said He would do and fought courageously with their faith!
Everything they faced that day, bowed down to their faith in God‘s ability! Everything we face day to day, or will ever face has to do the same when we fight with our faith!
The Bible is full of wow moments and stories of incredible odds being overcome each and every time with the faith God has given us!
These tremendous examples are both there to build our faith, and for us to drawl the strength from to fuel our own faith! For the next wow moment we come upon, waiting for the outcome of our faith fueling the victory to be written which will inspire someone else to do the same!
