All things are possible, “Only Believe!”
How many here this morning believe God can answer prayer, no matter what?
John 14:12-14 MSG
12-13 “In solemn truth I tell you, anyone believing in me shall do the same miracles I have done, and even greater ones, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask him for anything, using my name, and I will do it, for this will bring praise to the Father because of what I, the Son, will do for you. 14 Yes, ask anything, using my name, and I will do it!
How many here this morning believe God can do anything?
How many believe God can do anything, not for everyone else but in your life?
Is there a hesitation in your spirit, when you hear that question asked? There shouldn’t be! Why might that be? I mean, do some of us really think that our problems and situations are harder for God to answer and work out, than the problems, needs, wants and desires of our neighbors?
Or do we feel we are more liable for the results of our prayers and request, when we’re involved and it’s our own need, rather than someone else’s need? Thus making are own request harder in our mind than another’s need!
Should we not expect, as great or greater miracles to be done in our lives, than in another’s life? Or than the fantastic miracles we read about in the Bible, that Jesus did.
If we say we believe what Jesus did on the cross for us and we say we take Jesus at His Word for the promises both He and His Father God have declared to be possible in our lives, we should! 1000 times yes we should!
We have been told what we have been promised, we have both read and witnessed miracles happen! And still a small percentage of unbelief creeps in and consistently ruins the results of what God wants to do in our lives!
The time has come to take personal responsibility for what we believe about our relationship with Jesus and realize the amazing enormity of what we have been given!
We have been given the supernatural means to do, say and accomplish anything for the kingdom of God in our own lives and in the lives of everyone else we know! And still we continually say, “no thanks I’ll just ride the bus with all the other unbelievers again” When anything arises beyond our comfort level and our personal ability to deliver the results!
Well, I don’t know preacher, you’re setting the bar pretty high in not only the expectation department, but also in the delivery too! ….Jesus did some pretty amazing things….
And I would say to that….you are more than correct with that summation! Yes I am setting you up to achieve something impossible and that you have absolutely no control over accomplishing in your life!
Also that you will achieve complete failure every time, if you attempt to achieve the results on your own without complete dependency on Gods ability!
Yes I’m telling you to set the bar higher than your level of comfort! Because that’s what Jesus said at His Fathers instruction was possible to achieve, from impossible circumstances beyond our control!
His actions were and are amazing! His words were and are also quite amazing! What Jesus told and promised to anyone who would dare to believe and depend on God is also AMAZING!
John 1:1-3 NKJ
1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2. He was in the beginning with God.
3. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
I share this scripture with you because I want you to realize, truly what we have been given! Guaranteed by our relationship with God, we have with Jesus, our Lord and Savior!
“Absolutely everything, ranging from small to large, as you make it a part of your believing prayer, gets included as you lay hold of God’s Promises.”
Ya, ya, ya the rhetoric rings out from the church, “we’ve heard this all before, this is nothing new!” That’s an absolutely true statement!
But I must ask, if we’ve heard all this before...why aren’t we the church (God’s hands, feet and voice) doing and accomplishing more of what we have both heard and been taught?
Not to mention, we have been both promised and instructed we could do and accomplish through our walk in relationship we have with Jesus, God to deliverer of every promise made to us!
I want remind us all, because apparently far to many have forgotten!
God wants to bless and give to His Children! Let me say that again, with Greater Clarification….
“God….wants….to….Bless….and Give….to…. His Children!”
Do you believe it this morning? You should! Why aren’t You? Seriously?
Let me tell you, making that proclamation every morning, is the true breakfast of champions!
Champions for Christ not only believe what we’re talking about! Champions for Christ proclaim daily and live in the expectation of what they have been promised!
I will tell you something else too, God not only wants to Bless you because of your relationship with Jesus His Son! God is willing to go to great length’s, to do whatever it takes to make your request and desires come to fruition!
Absolutely everything?
TBS. all of Gods promises, are Yes and Amen!
God is very aware of how much power His Words and Promises possess, when you proclaim them and speak them over your life! The question is, are you?
God would have never had said them, Gods would’ve never allowed Jesus to go through what He did to deliver them either, if He never intended on keeping them and being true to them! Praise God!!
Isaiah 55:8,9,11 HCSB
8. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
and your ways are not My ways.”
This is the Lord’s declaration.
9. “For as heaven is higher than earth,
so My ways are higher than your ways,
and My thoughts than your thoughts.
11. so My word that comes from My mouth
will not return to Me empty,
but it will accomplish what I please
and will prosper in what I send it to do.”
Jeremiah 32:26,27 NKJ
26. Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying,
27. “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?
One word from God, is all that you will ever need, one word from God, will and can catapult you to victory your whole long and shower you with a lifetime of His Favor!
TBS. that God is omnipresent, which means; always present everywhere: continuously and simultaneously present throughout the whole of creation.
God knows no time, He has already been to the future, there is no place in time He hasn’t already inhabited.
He has already been at this very moment, where we are at right now….thousands of years ago and maybe even as recent as yesterday.
Illus. By Matthew Kratz
“Time is often represented by a straight line drawn on a page. We call this a time line. To get a grasp of what the eternality of God means, when you have drawn your time line you must picture God as the whole page on which the line is drawn”. (Green, M. P. (1989). Illustrations for Biblical Preaching)
God is the same yesterday, today and forever! God has not changed, nor have His intentions toward you! What God accomplished for the Old Testament Saints! What Jesus established going forward and continuing with our “covenant of Grace” relationship we now enjoy and possess!
By Gods very own declarations and promises, the best is truly yet to come!
Have you seen the news? The best is truly yet to come! Have you heard of what the enemy is doing in the world today? The best is truly yet to come! Have you heard the theme of social intolerance played out day after day?
Yes the broken record of the accusers condemnation message continues to be bombarded around the world! But God’s promises and declarations that have been provided for our lives, for those who will embrace believe and walk in them, “The best is still yet to come!!!”
Whatever you hath need of today is not only possible, but is PROMISED to you! When you put your faith and trust in God, through your relationship with Jesus!
I’ll close with this,
Isaiah 40:28-31 NKJ
28. Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
29. He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30. Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31. But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
But I’m so tired! Find the peace that passes all understanding by waiting on God’s Promises to be fulfilled in your life!
But I’ve prayed so long and I just don’t know what to do! Find a peace that passes all understanding by waiting on God’s promises to be fulfilled in your life!
God can give back, through your relationship with Jesus and because of all Jesus accomplished for you! All the years, all the minutes, all the time the devil has stolen from you!
Remember, your timeline is a mark on the paper. Gods timeline is the whole book on which the page the mark appears!
God can do anything you ask and Jesus is standing ready to deliver whatever is needed in your life, the moment you do!!
Amen?
