WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN JESUS COMES?
In almost every book of the bible we find the second coming of Jesus mentioned. In the Old Testament it is mentioned twenty times more than His first coming. In the New Testament 318 times -- One out of every 25 verses -- 50 times in the 14 books of Paul. Acts 1:11 - This same Jesus -- 1 Th. 4:16 - For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven. -- 1 Jn. 2:28 - Have confidence and not be ashamed. 2 Cor. 11:26 - Lord’s Supper. Heb. 9:27-28 - As sure as we are going to die. Rev. 22:7,12,20 - Behold I come quickly; Behold I come quickly; Surely, I come quickly.
1 Thess. 4:16 - For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God. In Old Testament trumpets were used to call God’s people to assemble. God led the Children of Israel by a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire at night. The cloud would move the trumpet would sound and God’s people would follow. Now in the New Testament - We are not led by a cloud but by the Holy Spirit. NOTE - The Spirit moves or The Holy Spirit is taken out. (2 Thess. 2:7) The trumpet sounds and God’s Children go home. The Holy Spirit age is over. The Grace age is over. The Church age is over. The Holy Spirit came at Pentecost and started the Grace age and when He leaves it will end. And the dead in Christ shall rise first. The shout will be so loud it will wake the dead. 1 Cor. 15: 50-58 - Brothers and sisters, flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. In a moment and twinkling of an eye the trumpet shall sound and those who have died will be raised first to live forever and we who are living will also be changed. For our earthy bodies must be changed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be changed into immortal bodies. Then, when our bodies have been changed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory? The sting of death is sin and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be unto God which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. THIS OLD TEMPORAL EARTHLY BODY WILL BE CHANGED INTO A NEW ETERNAL BODY. Phil. 3:21 - Our body will be changed like unto the body of Jesus. 1 John 3:2 - We shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. JUST THINK - We will have a new body that can walk, talk, hear, feel, laugh, and fellowship with one another. There will be no more pain, no more sorrow or heartache, no more anxiety, stress or worry, no more Dementia, Alzheimer. All will be joy, peace and happiness.
V.17 - Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up (Raptured) together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we forever be with the Lord. The return of Jesus Christ at the rapture will be the most exciting event of our lives. Think of the thrill of being raptured. We all like thrill rides. Bungie jumping, Sling Shot, Drop Zone, Roller Coasters. The most exciting experience of your life is ahead of you. Think what it will be like to go flying through the clouds, past the moon and stars, through the milky way without an astronaut suit on. To stop and meet the Lord somewhere in the air. WHAT A REUNION - Caught up together…
So shall we forever be with the Lord. Will we recognize one another? (1 Cor.13:12) Absolutely. Will we be able to touch and hug each other? Yes Sir. There is going to be a meeting in the air: There is going to be a meeting in the air; In the sweet sweet bye and bye, I am going to meet you, meet you over there; In that home beyond the sky. Such singing you will hear—never heard by mortal ear, Twill be glorious I do declare and God’s own son will be the leading one at the meeting in the air. Yes, Theres’ going to be a great reunion in the clouds. It's going to be awesome! Seeing family and friends and people from our past. People who have moved out of our lives, but never moved out of our hearts. V. 18 - Therefore comfort other another with these words.
I BELIEVE WHEN JESUS COMES THERE WILL BE TRAUMATIC SHOCK!
Think about it. Jesus will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and the mighty sound of God’s Trumpet. It will make an alarm sound like a toy. It is so loud it will wake up all those who are asleep in Jesus. Imagine all the graves bursting open… The cemeteries will be a mess. The dead in Jesus will rise first. Then we which are alive and saved will be caught up (raptured) together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. Think about the shock to those who knew Jesus was coming but were left behind.
I know a little bit about shock. I remember at the death of my little brother Elmer Richard Carter Jr. The news was so shocking to my Mother they had to sedate her with medicine and she was so pitiful for months. I have seen this in other deaths. I have seen a man shell shocked or Post Traumatic Syndrome from the war. Traumatic shock is a bad thing. Imagine man wakes up and family gone. Mother goes to get her child from school. Cars out of control. Airplanes crashing. Alarms going off. What a traumatic event. Think of the trauma 911 caused and that was just one city. Please hear me I am not trying to scare you I am just trying to tell you the truth of what the Bible teaches.
1 Timothy 4:1-2 - Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the latter times some shall depart from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and doctrines of devils. They will speak lies in hypocrisy. They have no conscience.
2 Timothy 3: 1-5 - Know in the last days there will be perilous times. People will be lovers of self and money. They will be proud, stuck-up, rude, and disobedient to their parents. They will also be ungrateful, godless, heartless, and hateful. Their words will be cruel, and they will have no self-control or pity. They will hate everything that is good. They will be sneaky, reckless, and puffed up with pride. Instead of loving God, they will love pleasure. Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof. Don’t have anything to do with such people.
2 Timothy 4: 2-5 - I charge you, Preach the word of God. Be prepared, in season or out of season, whether the time is favorable or not. Reprove, rebuke, and exhort or encourage your people with patience and teach them sound doctrine or the truths of God’s Word. For the time will come when people will no longer listen to sound doctrine and true Bible teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths.
Be careful and watch in all things. Don’t be afraid to suffer for the Lord. Work hard at telling others the Good News and continue the ministry God has called you to.
1 Timothy 4: 6 - If you put the brothers and sisters in remembrance of these things you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ.
Matthew 24: 40-44 - Two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore, you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. Friend, we do not know when Jesus is coming again but we know He is. Will you be taken or will you be left behind? Come to Jesus.
2 THESS. 2:7-8 - WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT IS TAKEN OUT, GOD’S CHILDREN WILL BE TAKEN OUT. THEN THE WICKED ONE OR ANTI-CHRIST WILL BE REVEALED. THEN WILL START WHAT IS CALLED THE TRIBULATION AND THE GREAT TRIBULATION. Daniel 9:27 - Anti-christ will establish a covenant for the whole world for one week or seven years. It will be a One world government, One world religion, One world military… He will be the world leader, the dictator over all. Note, in the middle of the covenant or in three and one half years he will break the covenant. The first three one half will be called tribulation and the last three one half years will be known as great tribulation. The word tribulation means like a big stone grinding wheat or other grains into flour.
Mt. 24: 21-22 - Describes the Great Tribulation as a time on earth like never before - And except those days be shortened, there should be no flesh saved.
WILL THE CHURCH GO THROUGH THE TRIBULATION? NO
But preacher doesn’t John 16:33 - In the world you shall have tribulation? Yes, God’s people have always faced great persecution or tribulation throughout the entire bible. But we are not talking about that kind of tribulation. We are talking about a time except those days be shortened nobody would be saved.
Jeremiah 30:7 - Called it a time of Jacob’s trouble or Israel’s trouble. Not a time of Church trouble. During the Church age believers will undergo trouble and trials, temptations, heartaches, and persecutions. But the Church is looking for that blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and our savior Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13) And we will be delivered from this old world of trouble. Friend, we are not looking for anti-christ, we are looking for The Christ.
2 Pt. 2: 5-9 - God’s knows how to deliver the Godly from the day of Judgment. God delivered Noah before the flood. God delivered Lot from Sodom and Gomorrah. Gen. 18:23 - Abraham asked God will you destroy the righteous with the wicked? If you can find 50,45,40,30,20,10 righteous I will spare it. God did not destroy Sodom for its sin, He destroyed it because there was no righteousness. 2 Th. 2: 6-8 - The only thing keeping the wrath of God coming upon the world is the righteous. When they are gone Judgment will fall. Christians are the salt of the earth (salt is a perseverant) The light of the world. When the salt and light are gone, Judgment comes.
Enoch was saved before the flood. Methuselah the son of Enoch the oldest man in the bible 969. Methuselah - Enoch was given a prophecy that as long as his son was alive, the judgment of the flood would be withheld; but as soon as he died, the flood would come. Enoch named his son to reflect this prophecy. The name Methuselah comes from two Hebrew words, muth, that means death ; and from shalach, which means to bring judgment.
Thus, the name Methuselah his death shall bring judgment. The flood came seven days after his death.
Daniel 12:1 - At that time Michael shall stand up. The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone who is found written in the book.
Rev. 3:10 - Jesus said Himself - Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Note not I will keep you through it, Not I will keep you in it, but I will keep you from it.
Rev. 4:1 - After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, Come up here (rapture) and I will show you things which must take place after this.
1 Thess. 4:18 - Wherefore comfort one another with these words. What comfort would the rapture be if we had to go through the tribulation. YES, GOD KNOWS HOW TO DELIVER THE GODLY FROM THE DAY OF JUDGMENT! THE NEXT EVENT ON GOD’S CALENDAR WILL BE THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH. ARE YOU READY?
DANIEL 12:4 - DANIEL WAS TOLD, SHUT UP THE WORDS, AND SEAL THE BOOK, EVEN TO THE TIME OF THE END…
REVELAION 6 - THE OPENING OF THE SEALS: THE GREAT TRIBULATION BEGINS.
Vs. 1-2 - THE FIRST SEAL - A WHITE HORSE. This white horse is not The Lord Jesus Christ. Rev. 19:11 – Jesus will come riding a white horse and with all His saints. This rider is the Anti-Christ. Anti means opposite. Jesus has a white horse, anti-christ has to have one. Jesus is the truth, anti-christ is a liar and deceiver and will bring false peace.
Vs. 3-4 - THE SECOND SEAL - A RED HORSE. It was granted to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another… The Red horse represents Bloodshed. Anti-Christ breaks the peace covenant and now brings bloodshed. It will be a horrific time, a traumatic time, a terrible time. It will be like the civil war, man against man, brother against brother, sister against sister, hand to hand combat, full of rage killing each other.
Vs. 5-6 - THE THIRD SEAL - A BLACK HORSE. And he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice saying, A quart of wheat or three quarts of barley for a days wage; and all the oil and wine you want. The black horse represents famine.
A time of starvation, weeping and mourning over such a terrible time. Scales to weigh how much food we get. A loaf of bread a days wage, 7.25 an hour, 8 hours is around $60 a loaf. - $15 an hour, 8 hours, $120.00 a loaf.
Vs. 7-8 - THE FOURTH SEAL - A PALE HORSE.
And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given to kill over a fourth of the earth with a sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth. The pale horse represents death. The world's population in 2021 is 7,874,965,825 - One fourth die - 1,968,741,456 - That is more people than is in the United States - 331,002,651. And hell followed with him. How sad millions dying and falling into the pit of hell. And why all because they rejected Jesus as their personal Savior. Do you know without a doubt that Jesus is your Lord and Savior?
Vs. 9-10 - THE FIFTH SEAL - I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth? When the fifth seal is opened the scene completely changes. John sees under the altar the souls who had been martyr for the Word of God and for their testimony. They cried with a loud voice, How long, O Lord, Holy and True? How long before you avenge our blood on those dwelling on the earth?
Vengeance is something that people look for when wrong has been done. Romans 12:19 – Vengeance is mine says the Lord, I will repay.
Vs. 12-14 - THE SIXTH SEAL - And behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its untimely figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. Vs. 15-17 - And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! They will hide themselves in caves and in the rocks of the mountains and will beg the mountains and rocks to fall on them and hide them… Hide them from what? The anti-christ, The devil, the beast or false prophet? No, Hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. WHY? For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand? Again, this is why it is so important to be saved today and ready for the rapture of the church. We do not want to be here when God opens the Seals and the rest of Revelation.
REVELATION 7 - Judgment pauses for God to extend His mercy one more time. God prepares His One hundred forty four thousand missionaries to preach His gospel to the ends of the earth. God has ordained the Church to go and preach the gospel but now the church is gone. Now God uses His 144,000 servants from the twelve tribes of Israel. Twelve thousand from each tribe. To go and preach the Gospel. They will do what the Church did during the Grace age. God has never been without a witness on earth and He never will be. During the days of Elijah God preserved seven thousand who did not bow their knee to Baal nor Ahab. (1 Kings 19:18) God reserved Daniel and the three Hebrew Children in the days of Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 3 & 6)
God will have a witness during the time of Great Tribulation. They were sealed in their forehead. In the Grace age the believers were sealed by the Holy Ghost (Eph. 4:30) But when the Church is raptured the Holy Ghost will be taken (2 Th. 2:7) So the one hundred and forty four thousand will not be sealed with the Holy Ghost as we are, but they will have the seal upon their foreheads. They will be known by all they come in contact with. Nothing can stop them nor destroy them. The devil will counterfeit God’s mark with what is called the Mark of the Beast. (Rev. 13)
Vs. 9-17 - After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number… standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb! Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from? These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
REVELATION 8:1 - When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. Think all the Angels, the Cherubim’s and Seraphim’s, the twenty four elders, who worship God day and night, without ceasing, saying, Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God almighty. Are silent for thirty minutes.
V.2 - I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. These angels are about to sound their trumpets of God’s judgment upon the earth.
V.7 - FIRST ANGEL SOUNDED: Hail and fire, mingled with blood, were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.
Vs. 8-9 - SECOND ANGEL SOUNDED: Like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
Vs. 10-11 - THIRD ANGEL SOUNDED: A great star called wormwood fell from heaven, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The water became bitter, and many men died who drank it.
V. 12 - FOURTH ANGEL SOUNDED: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night.
V. 13 - And I looked, and I heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound!
REVELATION 9:1-6 – FIFTH ANGEL SOUNDED: The bottomless pit was opened and out of the pit came locusts and the power of the scorpion was given to them and they were not to kill people but to torment them for five months. And in those days shall man seek death but can’t find it! The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. They had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots with many horses running into battle. They had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails. Their power was to hurt men five months.
VS. 13-15 - SIXTH ANGEL SOUNDED: Loose the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates, this is not the same angels of Revelation seven these are fallen angels who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. In 6:8 we saw the pale horse of death kill one fourth of the world’s population. Now one third of the remaining population will be killed.
REVELATION 11: 3 & 8 - God’s Two witnesses… They are killed and lay in the street for three and a half days and the whole world will see them. (Television)
After three and one half days the spirit of life comes into them and they stood upon their feet and great fear came upon the people. Then they ascended into heaven. V.13 - Another earthquake that killed seven thousand men.
REVELATION 11:15 - SEVENTH ANGEL SOUNDED: The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever! Take a moment and consider the kingdoms that have ruled the world: the Egyptians, Babylonians, Persians, Romans.
Think of the powerful rulers of the world: Pharaoh, Nebuchadnezzar, Cyrus, Caesar, Herod, Alexander the Great, Napoleon, Hitler, Stalin, Saddam Hussein, etc. These men conquered and ruled vast empires, but they all have one thing in common, they all died. Their reign ended as they drew their last breath. Our King died, but praise the Lord, He rose to die no more. Our King shall reign forever and forever. REVELATION 13: 16-18 - THE MARK OF THE BEAST. The people will receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads. And no man can buy or sell without the mark. The mark is 666.
REVELATION 16 - THE SEVEN BOWLS OF THE WRATH OF GOD
We have seen the 7 seals; The 7 trumpets; Now the 7 bowls judgments. Up to this time God has offered His Love, Forgiveness, Mercy and Grace… He has done everything He can to save all mankind. The day of Grace has ended. The wrath of God is filled up (15:1) We now see the full wrath of God. Note, When the seven seals and seven trumpets came, we read a third or fourth or part of the earth was affected. But now in the seven bowls we do not find part but the whole earth will be affected. Every square inch. The seven bowls judgments will be poured out in rapid succession. One right after the other.
V.2 - THE FIRST BOWL - Noisome and Grievous Sores. Intense pain… Literally ulcers – open, festered, stinking, oozing wounds upon the skin.
V.3 - THE SECOND BOWL - The sea became as the blood of a dead man and everything in the sea died. What a terrible rotten, stinking situation, all the sea life will die and begin to rot and stink.
V.4 - THE THIRD BOWL - The rivers and fountains of waters became blood. 70% of the earth is made up of water. Every drop of water on earth will turn to blood. When you go to your faucet to turn on water it will be blood. Go to refrigerator to get a coke or tea or any kind of drink it will have blood in it.
V.8 - THE FOURTH BOWL - The sun will scorch men with fire. Not a sunburn. Roasted like a turkey in an oven.
V.10 - THE FIFTH BOWL - Darkness and they will gnaw their tongue for pain. Remember man likes darkness rather than light so God gives them darkness and they chew their tongue like chewing a piece of chewing gum.
V.12 - THE SIXTH BOWL - Euphrates river dried up.
The river is 1780 miles long - 1200 yards wide. It is the great dividing line for the countries in the east and west from that part of the world. The drying up of this river will open the door to allow the gigantic eastern armies to gather around anti-christ for the final battle of Armagedon.
V. 16 - AND HE GATHERED THEM TOGETHER INTO A PLACE CALLED IN THE HEBREW TONGUE ARMAGEDDON. (Rev. 14:20 - Blood up to horses bridle, 200 miles)
VS. 17-21 - THE SEVENTH BOWL - A voice saying it is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, about the weight of a talent (130 lbs) and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
REVELATION 19:11 - Jesus comes riding a white horse with all His children as King of Kings and Lord of Lords to defeat all His enemies.
REVELATION 20:1-3 - The casting of satan into the bottomless pit. V.11 - The Great White Throne.
V.15 - And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
REVELATION 21-22 - I saw a new heaven and a new earth coming down… Heaven described.
Yes, this is what will happen when Jesus comes. I hope you are saved and ready for the rapture of the Church.
