There are a few people that come to you for help and you would prefer not to help them since you don't have any acquaintance with them or they don't have a place with your congregation, yet you have failed to remember that those individuals might be a heavenly messenger of your life. Recollect that God favored Pharaoh Chief due to Joseph. Wherever the people of God are, there is favoring there. Genesis 39:5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and overall that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.
You may see those godly men in neediness and say, “physician heals yourself” Never offer such expression since God realizes more than you might think. Genuinely, they are poor however they have what is more prominent than money. 2Corinthians 6:10 As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
Remember that Elijah didn’t have anything when he came to the widow for a drink. Let us assume that the widow had looked down on Elijah, she wouldn’t have received her fortune. So never looked down on people of God no matter how poor they are. They might not have money as you have but they have something greater than money. Acts 3:6 But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ, the Nazarene, get up and walk!”
Try not to demand that it is just the righteous man in your congregation alone you will help. Any affirmed righteous man that you find in neediness, render your help to them as you have the opportunity. Galatians 6:10 Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone especially to those in the family of faith.
Hebrews 13:2: Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
Remember that it is just those righteous men that are helpless you should give, not those that are rich as of now. This is on the grounds that many individuals give their vehicles, houses, and so forth to effectively to rich ministers which isn't right. It is the helpless poor people of God you should care for not the rich pastors/priests or Bishops who loot more money in their greed as if they are helping or donating poor in your money. You can directly help them you don’t need a mediator like the church or any fundraiser to help the Luke 14:13 But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind. Romans 12:13 Share with the saints who are in need. Practice hospitality. 1 Pet. 4:9 says “Be hospitable to one another without grumbling”.
If you see any genuine man of God living in poverty, render your assistance to them so that this Christian journey will not be too difficult for them. Let us be concerned about the financial difficulties they might be passing through. 1Thesalonians 5:13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
If you saw a man of God living in poverty and you are certain that they are the genuine man of God, render your assistance to them regardless of the church they belong to, and any blessing they pronounce on you shall surely come to pass. Mark 9:41 If anyone gives you even a cup of water because you belong to the Messiah, I tell you the truth, that person will surely be rewarded.
