Summary: Is there a battle going on between God and Satan? Is there a competition of intelligence -like a chess game. You're left thinking that there’s a chance that the devil might win. But is this what's going on?

Stuck In the Middle of Good and Evil Games

Far too often do we see the concept that in this world is a battle going on between God and Satan.

It's in the movies and in TV shows all saying that there is this fight

It’s portrayed as a competition of intelligence -like a chess game.

And your left thinking that there’s a chance that the devil might win.

But is this what's going on?

No, we have to remember that only God is eternal.

We see this in verses like:

Psalms 90:1-2 (KJV) Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. 2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

Habakkuk 1:12 (KJV) Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One?

1 Timothy 1:17 (KJV) Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Isaiah 40:28 (KJV) Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

Colossians 1:16 (KJV) For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

All things were created by Him and for Him

Satan is a created being.

And although he is powerful, he's not omniscient like God.

He's not omnipotent like God,

and he's not omnipresent Like God,

Satan doesn't know everything.

Satan is not all powerful

He can only be in one place at a time.

This is why he's roaming around the world seeking whom he may devour

There are real limits on Satan’s power

when Satan presented himself before the Lord,

he did it as a subordinate as we see in job 1:6

Job 1:6-7 (KJV) Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. 7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

He’s just walking around looking for trouble!

We see here that,

he had to get God's permission as to how far he could go with what he did to Job.

Job 1:12 (KJV) And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

This should give us great confidence as adopted children of the most high

God loves us beyond what we can even imagine.

We are under our Father’s protection.

I mean we don't live in an imaginary bubble that protects us from all sickness and problems like the prosperity Preachers seem to believe.

We don’t live in a purple bubble like Kris Vallotton says, (https://youtu.be/dVwy6ON5gbg)

(Play video)

He quotes psalms 3:3.

Psalms 3:3 (KJV) But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

Read the whole chapter.

We can see that it's David proclaiming his love and trust in God's protection.

If Kris was just praying God's protection over people, then this would be fine.

But he gets all weird with it.

What does he mean when he prophesied over people for a purple bubble?

He said that when you are in this Bubble, you cannot be harmed in any way.

“it's impervious to Things like sickness, disease, bullets and bombs

and things like abductions, & murders”

What?

He said that this “Purple Bubble” has its own atmosphere.

Even Kris does not even know what that means or is.

He also says that it was God putting people in this bubble.

But now, Chris has the authority to release this in people's lives.

You see how these false prophets draw attention to themselves rather than God?

He got all this from one verse, Psalms 3:3

Yes! We are under our Father’s protection!

But not like that,

We can walk in confidence that nothing can happen to us Outside of Gods will

and if things do happen, then praise God!

He will see us through!

God is perfect, and God allows things to happen to us for a reason.

The Book of Revelation tells us the ending already.

And guess what, God wins!

and Satan is thrown into the lake of fire.

This is as good as done!

God said it, it’s done!

It’s over for the devil.

The devil has lost when Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead!

And is today, sitting on the right hand of the Father interceding for you and me

Romans 8:34 (KJV) Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

This may be impossible for us to understand with our finite minds

But it is true none the less

Sure, there's a good versus evil thing going on in a sense

But be assured that God is working through believers for their Good

Romans 8:28 (KJV) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Is Satan trying to mess up anything good in your life? Yes!

I get that!

but the concept of the devil and God being in some sort of personal power struggle, is silly.

On the other hand, there is a spiritual battle going on as we're told in Ephesians 6

and that's why we're told to put on our spiritual armor.

We know that the devil is prowling around like a lion,

looking to cause problems wherever he can.

1 Peter 5:8 (KJV) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

But James say’s:

James 4:7 (KJV) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

I know sometimes this is easier said than done,

but this is a great promise that God gives to those who are His

And if God gives it, He will see you through it all!

1 Peter 5:10-11 (KJV) But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Yes, you may have to suffer a while in this present world

But God is in control!

God is on the throne!

God is on your side!

God is “not slack concerning his promise” (2 Peter 3:9)

Although it seems like this world is falling apart,

Remember that:

He’s coming back!

Acts 1:10-11 (KJV) And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

We will be raptured!

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (KJV) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Satan will be bound forever!

Revelation 20:7 (KJV) And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

Revelation 20:10 (KJV) And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

We will be forever with the Lord!

Revelation 21:3-5 (KJV) And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

So, don’t stop now!

Jesus needs you!

We need you!

We got Kingdom work to do!
