Summary: Many stories in the Bible are attributed to alien/extraterrestrials or alien technology. What does the Bible say?

Part 1

There has been a significant increase in stories in the news media regarding the sighting of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) and Unidentified Arial Phenomenon (UAP) that seemingly defy the Laws of Physics which has led to Congressional hearings with alarming, yet unsubstantiated or verified eyewitness testimony (the influence of hallucinogenic drugs perhaps?) of crashed alien spacecraft with non-human biological remains. Just because a government says there is evidence does not mean it actually exists as they are often guilty of subterfuge in order to control the narrative.

There is also a growing number in the church who believe that ancient aliens from another dimension or distant galaxy once visited, and continue to visit, planet Earth. With the countless books and movies made about space travel, it is no wonder that so many are fascinated with the possibility of extraterrestrial (ET) alien beings existing from other worlds that fits right in with New Age high-sounding spiritual nonsense.

Some even believe ETs influenced Earth's history and could have corrupted the human race after Adam and Eve's fall. Numerous evolving theories and endless possibilities are conjectured to support these suppositions, but there is no empirical evidence to support them.

Many stories in the Bible are attributed to aliens or alien technology, such as the pillars of cloud and fire that guided the Israelites after the Exodus from Egypt (Exodus 13). Even the Manna God used to feed Israel is said to have come from alien technology (see Exodus 13,16). Most Alien advocates say that the Prophet Ezekiel saw a spaceship and that the Apostle John saw a doorway, stargate, or some other type of trans-dimensional portal from Heaven to Earth (see Revelation 4:1-2). What the Bible does say for sure is that Jesus is THE doorway to Heaven.

"I am the door: by me, if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and go out, and shall find pasture." (John 10:9 ESV)

The Bible states that God has no beginning because He is the beginning!

"I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end," says the Lord God. "I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One." (Revelation 1:8 NLT)

The Bible tells us that only God inhabits eternity. For Him, time is relative. He has always existed "before all time" (Jude 1:25 NIV). He created time and can compress or expand it based on what He wants to do.

"…A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day." (2 Peter 3:8-9 NLT)

God never runs out of time or is limited by it. The Creator of all things exists and operates in multiple dimensions beyond our understanding. He is far greater than our finite minds can understand within our minuscule knowledge of this world and reality. Human Beings are limited to living and moving freely in only three dimensions and part of the time dimension (fourth), as they can only move forward in time. Humans cannot move through time to try and make right a sinful wrong committed, but Jesus can - and did - by forgiving all past, present, and future sins on the Cross!

THE MULTI-DIMENSIONAL CREATION

The Bible says that God has always existed before time began. He formed "the universe" at His "… command so that what was seen was not made out of what was visible" (Hebrews 11:3 NIV).

Jesus created the Universe out of the dimensions of space and time that are not visible to humans. He is "the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation" (Colossians 1:15-16 NIV); Jesus was with God, the Father "…in the beginning" (John 1:1 NIV). Through Jesus, the Universe was made. He is the "…radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his beginning, sustaining all things by his powerful Word...." (Hebrews 1:3 NIV). His creative wisdom was "destined for our glory before time began" (1 Corinthians 2:7 NIV). God predetermined to give us His grace "in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time" (2 Timothy 1:9 NIV) and provide the "hope of eternal life" which was "... promised before the beginning of time" (Titus 1:2 NIV).

THE MULTI-STAGES OF CREATION

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth. 2 Now the Earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning — the first day." (Genesis 1:1-5 NIV)

The verse above describes the primary stages of Creation. There were six "evening(s)" and "morning(s)," which became the "day(s)" (v5) of the Creation week. The word "evening" (Heb: ‘erev’) represents the darkness of time immediately preceding and following the setting of the Sun. Darkness obscures the light and the ability to discern order and identify shapes. It is "formless and empty" (v2).

The word "morning" in Hebrew is ‘boker,’ which indicates the point of time at which the obscurity of the night changes to the dawn of the day when the advent of light provides the ability to visibly discern forms and shapes, bringing into view the design and order of things.

"God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning - the sixth day." (Genesis 1:31 NIV)

The Targum Onkelos translation of the Hebrew into Aramaic of the verse above emphasizes the proclamation because it is a well-established and unified order. This verse indicates that the spiritual and physical worlds were originally linked or integrated.

THE INVISIBLE MULTI-DIMENSIONAL WORLD

"My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence." (John 18:36 KJV)

The Greek word for "world" in the verse is ‘kosmos,’ which speaks of a universe as a system with order and pattern. Jesus was saying that the kingdom that He rules over was in another dimension separate from the Earth.

God is able to operate in multiple dimensions because He created the Universe. The Bible tells us that God can see every possible outcome throughout a person's existence into all eternity and for every individual who has ever lived. It is foolish not to trust our lives to His keeping.

Human Beings live in a rational universe where things exist rather than nothing. The science of Quantum Physics includes a "Many-Worlds" theory that postulates an infinite number of universes, and everything that has yet to happen in the known Universe could have already occurred in the past of some other universe or universes. I want to emphatically state that there is no scientific evidence yet to prove the existence of other worlds in the Cosmos that can be observed.

The Bible reveals that there is an entire invisible universe of beings who are similar to us and exist in a separate dimension or parallel to us in this world. An invisible world surrounds planet Earth called the "heavenly realms," consisting of other beings called "angels," "demons," "principalities," and "forces."

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (Ephesians 6:12-13 NIV)

THE MULTI-HEAVENS

The most orthodox teaching of Judaism identifies that there is an elaborate system of seven heavens. Supplemental Jewish literature, such as the writings of Merkavah and Heichalot, found within the Midrash (a written method of interpreting biblical stories) and the third Apocryphal Book of Enoch, reveals details of these heavens. They are as follows:

1) Doq/Daqaq (Called "Vilon" in ancient rabbinic literature) - It means curtain or canopy where "… God stretches out the heavens (Heb: Shamayim - where God dwells) like a canopy" (Isaiah 40:22 NIV).

2) Raqiya/Raki'a - Describes the physical or visible heavens (expanse) containing the sun, moon, and stars (Genesis 1:14, 17; Deuteronomyu 11:11). In the "beginning," there was the light of the Sun and the Moon in the darkness which divided the day as time was created.

3) Shehaquim/Shehaqim/Shehakim – This word speaks of the atmosphere where clouds are (Psalm 78:23-24).

4) Zebul – Refers to the habitation where God's glory dwells as in the Heavenly City (Isiah 63:15; 1 Kings 8:13).

5) Ma'own/Ma'on – Denotes Heaven (refuge, home), the place that flows with milk and honey when God and the angels reside (Deuteronomy 26.15).

6) Makhon/Machon/Makon – This is an "established place" – of storehouses where the treasures of rain, snow, and hail reside (Deuteronomy 28:12)

7) Araboth/Aravot means "deserts" because it has no moisture or air. It is known as the Seventh Heaven, where the Throne of Glory is found (Psalm 68:5). It is the storehouse of righteousness and peace where angel beings reside, and possibly the spirits of those not yet born are waiting (Ezekiel 10:1).

The Seven Heavens or dimensions and/or localities of reality, plus the three dimensions of the world Earth, equals a ten-dimensional reality.

THE MULTI-DIMENSIONS

The Bible does reveal at least ten dimensions. The number ten represents the perfection of the completion of God's divine order. God gave Ten Commandments, five of which concern the rules of relationship with God, and five that concern the rules of relationship with other humans. Jesus spoke ten "I AM" statements declaring He was the Messiah and the Creator of the Universe.

A leading medieval Hebrew scholar Rabbi Moshe ben Nachman (also known in Latin as Nahmanides and in Hebrew as Raban), wrote a commentary on the first five books of the Bible (Torah) in the 12th century. While studying Chapter One of the Book of Genesis, he concluded from the ten "And God said" statements that a new dimension was created each time God spoke, the first four of which were knowable.

The First Dimension - What exists in this dimension may be represented by a straight line, such as a flat piece of paper. The omniscience of God is understood as an ever-expanding eternal line.

The Second Dimension - What exists in this dimension may be represented by folding a flat piece of paper which becomes a two-dimensional plane, and then drawing a figure with just two characteristics of length and width without any movement, mass, or volume. The omnipresent God spreads Himself throughout the Universe in this dimensional plane of space-time that forms what makes up the Universe.

The Third Dimension - Human beings most easily understand this dimension because that is the dimension they are in. This dimension may be represented by folding the two-dimensional piece of paper, which adds height like a 3D cube with infinite squares stacked upon each other and now includes length, breadth, height, surface area, and volume in an endless amount of planes. The authority of God caused a wave in space-time that created this dimension.

The following six dimensions fall within God's omnipotence and omnipresence, allowing Him to dwell outside the first three so that He can see all things from the beginning to the end in any infinite possibility.

The Fourth Dimension – This is "time," which governs the properties of all known matter at any given point and comprises what happened in the past since its beginning and what will happen in the future. It can be represented by folding the paper again, creating the fourth dimension. Human Beings are limited to experiencing and observing only the moment of time they are in.

The Fifth Dimension - This is where a single possible world could be seen, or worlds that are slightly different than the world human beings know on the Earth with similar conditions but slightly different than our own with different subsequent actions. This can be represented by folding the fourth dimension. Within the fifth dimension, there can be seen where every possible direction a moving object could have gone. This dimension (along with the sixth dimension) contains all possible other outcomes within the space dimension as the third-dimensional Universe moves along the plane of the fourth dimension.

The Sixth Dimension - This dimension is similar to the fifth dimension. It is where other possible worlds and universes with similar conditions could be seen and used to measure the similarity and differences between this world and other possible worlds or universes that start with the same initial conditions. If humans could master the fifth and sixth dimensions, they could travel back in time and even to different possible futures.

The Seventh Dimension - This dimension is where everything is different from the very beginning of time. This dimension gives access to other possible worlds that start with different initial conditions.

The Eighth Dimension - Within this dimension is an infinite view of the history of multiple possible universes with different initial conditions and branches out into infinity.

The Ninth Dimension - All the possible histories of a different universe(s), with various initial conditions and scientific laws than this world, can be compared and make up this dimension.

The Tenth Dimension - Within this dimension, everything imaginable and possible exists beyond the previous nine.

Human beings are naturally limited in the ability to imagine anything beyond these ten dimensions. Because of the attributes of God, He can look into any other possible dimension. He can use multiple dimensions to move another universe, world, planet, or person along a different path than was previously taken in a different dimension. He could change or reverse an event that has already occurred or will occur in the future.

Within the three-dimensional realm, where human beings exist, it is impossible to completely understand the workings of a miracle. However, within multiple dimensions, seemingly unmanageable "miracles" and the natural working of the supernatural spiritual gifts that every Born-Again Christian can access can exist. An example would be when Joshua cried out to God to make the Sun stand still so that he could complete and win the battle - and God did!

"On the day the Lord gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the Lord in the presence of Israel: "O sun, stand still over Gibeon, O moon, over the Valley of Aijalon." So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies, as it is written in the Book of Jashar." (Joshua 10:12-13 NIV)

Another example is when Hezekiah asked Isaiah to request that God would give him a sign by moving the shadow on the sundial of Ahaz backward by ten degrees – and He did!

"Hezekiah had asked Isaiah, "What will be the sign that the Lord will heal me and that I will go up to the temple of the Lord on the third day from now?" Isaiah answered, "This is the Lord's sign to you that the Lord will do what he has promised: Shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or shall it go back ten steps?" "It is a simple matter for the shadow to go forward ten steps," said Hezekiah. "Rather, have it go back ten steps." Then the prophet Isaiah called upon the Lord, and the Lord made the shadow go back the ten steps it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz." (2 Kings 20:8-11 NIV)

THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS

Jesus has eternally existed with God the Father before the creation of all things and is co-equal with Him. The Bible says that Jesus, the Eternal Word, spoke into existence all things "in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him" (Colossians 1:16 NIV).

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it." (John 1:1-5 NIV)

Jesus created all things which, includes the fallen angel known as satan, who is the ruler of the earthly world (John 14:30). The entire planet is under the control of the evil one (1 John 5:19). However, Jesus holds Christians securely, and the evil one cannot touch them (1 John 5:18). God did not create evil, as it is simply the absence of God, like darkness is the absence of light, and cold is the absence of heat.

The Holy Spirit eternally energizes and supplies life to all of Creation. In the beginning, God spoke on the second day of creation week and said:

"And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day." (Genesis 1:6-8 KJV)

The word "firmament' used is the Hebrew word ‘raqiya,’ which means "expanse" like an arch, and that it was stretched out like a tent separating two vastly different realms. This suggests that on the first and second days, God created time, matter, energy, and the upper regions of space to be the building blocks of the Cosmos.

"In the beginning you laid the foundations of the Earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded. But you remain the same, and your years will never end." (Psalm 102:25-27 NIV)

CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD

"Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the Earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the Earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." (Genesis 1:26-27 ESV)

As the verses proclaim, humans are the only beings in the Universe created in the image of God. The Hebrew word "image" (‘tselem’) means a representative figure, a resemblance. The Hebrew word for "likeness" (‘demuth’) implies a similitude or virtually the same as "image."

God created only human beings to share His image (i.e., free will, self-consciousness, morality, immortality) so they could participate in dominion over the Earth and all the creatures on the Earth (Genesis 1; Psalm 8:1). Human beings are the product of love, and every person has worth and dignity because God affirms their identity and importance. They are unique and a 'one-off' in all of Creation.

When God finished His Creation, He declared that it was "very good" (Heb: ‘meod’ = with all might, exceedingly; (Heb: ‘towb’ = pleasant, agreeable, pleasing) (Genesis 1:31). However, Adam and Eve chose not to trust God and sinned, causing suffering and the curse of death and decay to enter into all of Creation. It now groans and travails in pain because it is in bondage (Romans 8:18-23). It was never the will of God for this to happen.

When a person responds to God's call, repents and receives Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, He justifies, glorifies, and predestines them to spend eternity with Him (2 Thessalonians 2:13-14; John 17:22). Because of the sacrifice of Jesus, His creation is now expectantly waiting for the glorification of those who receive Him so that it may also be delivered from the curse.

The Bible tells us that when Creation is delivered from the effects of sin, just like a woman who has a child, the groans of creation will be turned into joy. Born-Again Christians, who are citizens of Heaven, are implored to look away from the groans of trials and suffering and look forward with great expectation in hope as they await the return and "appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ" (Romans 8:18; Philippians 3:21-21; 2 Corinthians 4:15-18; Titus 2:13)!

PART 2 - EZEKIEL, ETs, and UFOs

The book of Ezekiel seems to be the go-to for those who want to believe the Bible speaks of UFOs containing ETs who visit(ed) the Earth. There is a whole industry built on it. The Prophet Ezekiel was the 6th-century BC author of the book that reveals prophecies about the destruction of Jerusalem, the restoration to the land of Israel, and what some refer to as the Millennial Temple visions or the Third Temple. The name “Ezekiel” means 'God strengthens.'

The first chapter of Ezekiel is written to honor God by giving an amazing supernatural vision (Heb: ‘mar'ah' which means a revelation) of God who is seen wrapped up in Shekinah (presence of God) glory and of the heavenly host (Ezekiel 1:1, 4-28; also 1 John 1:5). The entire book was written in the first person. He wasn't describing a flying disk because the ancient Hebrew vocabulary includes all the following translated words that were not used in the description: "round," "disk," "circular," "flat," "metal(lic)," "silver," etc. Ezekiel did not see something literally with his physical eyesight happening on planet Earth or in the sky above.

Ezekiel did not physically see an alien spaceship, but he did see some strange things with his mind's eye that were similar to the writings found in the books of Daniel and Revelation. He described heavenly, spiritual beings, not ‘alien life forms.’ The language used was not literal because the Hebrew language used is apocalyptic. It conveys spiritual insight just as the book of Revelation, called the "Apocalypse," does. Ezekiel fully understood that God was speaking to Him and that the vision was of spiritual beings.

The theme of Ezekiel is the departure of the Shekinah glory because the people had obscured it by their disobedience and idolatry. He saw the Shekinah presence of God leave because God was going to send judgment upon the Temple and the City by using Babylon to destroy them. The purpose of the first chapter was to instruct them that even though they were taken as prisoners to Babylon, God had not abandoned them. Although the Shekinah departed, it did not end God's relationship with Israel (Ezekiel 1:8, 8:3).

In another vision, Ezekiel saw a glimpse of the Shekinah returning to the city and the Temple after the promised Messiah (Jesus) returns to Earth (Ezekiel 43.1-5). It was on the Day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit (Ruach ha Kodesh) came, and the Shekinah returned along with the power of God (Ruach ha Kodesh) that was seen in tongues of fire (kivod) (Acts 2:1-13).

Ezekiel saw the four living beings known as Cherubim, who are angelic figures/living creatures that serve the will of God and protect the Garden of Eden (Ezekiel 10:14; Genesis 3:24). He states elsewhere in the book that the four living beings he saw in his supernatural vision are the same ones seen in the first chapter (see Ezekiel 1:4-28, 10:1-22).

The description of the Cherubim is the same as that of the living creatures surrounding the throne of God (see Revelation 4). The extraordinary imagery in these passages describes angelic beings beyond human comprehension. Yet, it is God alone who is the Lord of the Universe (Ezekiel 1:28). The wheels with eyes around the rims and have fire and lightning associated with them are always connected to the Cherubim throughout Scripture and are directed by the Holy Spirit (Ezekiel 1).

THE GLORY OF THE LORD

The Book of Ezekiel is not about UFOs and ETs. It is about the glorious throne of God.

"Over the heads of the living creatures there was the likeness of an expanse, shining like awe-inspiring crystal, spread out above their heads. And under the expanse their wings were stretched out straight, one toward another. And each creature had two wings covering its body. And when they went, I heard the sound of their wings like the sound of many waters, like the sound of the Almighty, a sound of tumult like the sound of an army. When they stood still, they let down their wings. And there came a voice from above the expanse over their heads. When they stood still, they let down their wings."

"And above the expanse over their heads there was the likeness of a throne, in appearance like sapphire; and seated above the likeness of a throne was a likeness with a human appearance. And upward from what had the appearance of his waist I saw as it were gleaming metal, like the appearance of fire enclosed all around. And downward from what had the appearance of his waist I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and there was brightness around him. Like the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud on the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of one speaking." (Ezekiel 1:22-28 ESV)

These verses describe the glory of God and include an introductory description of Him. The attributes of the most holy Creator God are infinite. He knows everything about us and still loves us anyway - and - He chose to dwell within us when we repented of our sin and received Jesus as our Lord and Savior!

WHERE DO ALIEN BEINGS COME FROM? - The Invisible Multi-Dimensional World

"My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence." (John 18:36 KJV)

The Greek word for "world" in the verse is ‘kosmos’ which speaks of a universe as a system with order and pattern.

UNMASKING ALIEN BEINGS

The Bible says that there are alien beings called fallen angels, evil spirits, or demons who are the minions of Hell. The possibility of alien beings existing is believable, but the reality of "evil spirits" is difficult for many people to accept. Some people believe that demons spirits are "ghosts" - both good and bad. Still, others believe that demons mentioned in the Bible symbolize the personification of evil. Christians must first acknowledge their existence to battle alien begins and overcome the havoc they cause.

Some say that when Jesus cast them out of people, it merely represented His conquest over evil by His personal beliefs and life. Others believe that people who think they - or another - are possessed by an evil spirit are merely delusional.

Much of the ancient world was filled with detailed stories and theories about alien spirits that ruled the world from a different dimension. They were the "gods" that pagan religions feared and tried to appease through horrible rituals such as child sacrifice (See Leviticus 18:21).

Alien beings have been active throughout human history. The Old Testament used no term equivalent to 'alien being.' Still, there was a general acceptance among the Jews of Jesus' day that alien beings existed and were personal spirit creatures and enemies who afflicted men with various illnesses (See Deuteronomy 32:17; Leviticus 17:7; Psalm 106:37; Luke 4:36).

In the Greek LXX translation of Deuteronomy 32:17, "daimonia" is used for "foreign gods" (See also Psalm 106:37). In Hebrew, the phrase "hairy ones" refers to pagan demon spirits (Leviticus 17:7). The Gentiles viewed demons as both good and bad, to be feared and worshipped (See Acts 17:16-23).

God chose not to reveal much about alien beings until Jesus' ministry on Earth. Jesus tells us that demons are the spirit messengers who do the bidding of satan (See Matthew 12:26-29). He confirmed their existence.

Alien beings, or to be more specific, demons and evil/unclean spirits, are angelic spirit beings that God created to worship Him and "serve those who will inherit salvation" (Hebrews 1:14). But there was a war in Heaven:

"Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the Earth, and his angels with him."

(Revelation 12:7-9 NIV)

These alien beings are demons dedicated to pure, vicious terrorism, which is why the Bible calls them "evil spirits." Most would agree that demons are intelligent, powerful spirit beings that are angels who sinned. They are called "princes" who are both good and bad. They can reason. They know of the coming judgment against them. They recognize and acknowledge Jesus as God, the Son. They believe in God and tremble in His presence. They can exert supernatural power to break chains and shackles (See Daniel 10:13, 21-11:1, 12:1; Matthew 8:29, 12:43-45; Mark 1:23-24, 3:11, 5:4,7; Luke 4:34,41; 8:28,31, 12:24; 29; -24; 3:11; 5:7; Acts 19:15; James 2:19; 2 Peter 2:4; Jude 6; Revelation 12:7-9).

The Bible says that the spiritual forces of evil include rulers, authorities, and powers actively working in a demonic dominion, or kingdom, with a specific chain of command (See Matthew 12:26, 29, Ephesians 2:1-2, Colossians 1:13, Revelation 2:12-13).

Certain demons control kingdoms and territories here on Earth (See Daniel 10:12-13,20). However - remember this important point - the devil has limited control of the world! (See 1 John 5:19)

Some believe that there are three distinct groups: demons, unclean spirits, and fallen angels that make up the devil's minions. Throughout the Bible, the terms used to describe devils, demons, spirits, unclean spirits, evil spirits, and unclean demons are used interchangeably (See Matthew 12:43-45; Mark 3:22-23,39, 7:25-30; Luke 8:27-29, 9:42, 11:24).

There are many demons because one-third of the Angels rebelled against God and chose to follow satan. They function in a highly organized kingdom. Some are more powerful and/or intelligent than others (See Daniel 10:13; Matthew 12:45; Mark 5:9,9:29,16:9; Luke 8:2,27; Ephesians 6:12; Revelation 12:4-11).

They do the bidding of their leader, the devil, because he cannot be in two places simultaneously. The devil must depend upon their help to tempt, manipulate, and orchestrate the pain and suffering in the world (See Matthew 25:41).

The devil and his demons don't currently live in the "heavenly realms" (Ephesians 3:10, 6:12; see also Isaiah 24:21). Their fate has been predetermined. They will ultimately be cast into the place of "eternal fire" (Matthew 25:41, Jude 1:6-7), also called the "lake of fire" (Revelation 20:15). This is a place of eternal punishment that has been "prepared for the devil and his angels" (Matthew 25:41 NIV).

THE DUTIES OF DEMONS

The enemy's primary battle strategy is to create doubt, cause deception in people's minds, and twist what God says to deceive people and tempt them to sin. Demons can possess humans and animals. They can affect people by seducing them in various ways, tormenting and holding them spiritually captive, deceiving, accusing, and tempting them (See Genesis 3:1-5; Matthew 12:43-45, 15:22; Mark 5:13; Luke 11:24-26; 1 Thessalonians 3:51; 1 Timothy 4:1-2; 2 Timothy 2:26; Revelation 12:10, 20:10).

These alien beings can masquerade as angels of light that can appear as a glowing flying orb that defies the laws of physics, as well as counterfeit Christ-followers and servants of righteousness. They lead people to believe they can 'predict' the future and perform all kinds of counterfeit miracles, using every sort of evil to accomplish their plans (See Matthew 24:24; Acts 16:16; 2 Corinthians 11:13-15; 2 Thessalonians 2; Revelation 16:13-14).

Alien beings are shown in the Bible to cause sickness and disease in those who are not a Born-Again Christians. What would be classified today as mental illness or deranged behavior was considered caused by demons. One example of this in the Bible was when some people ran around naked, constantly crying out and screaming. Some had foaming at the mouth, convulsions, and they tried to hurt themselves, such as cutting with stones or falling into fire and water (See Matthew 12:22, 17:14-18; Mark 5:1-20, 9:17-18, 25; Luke 11:14, 13:1).

Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (See 1 John 3:8). He gave His followers "authority to drive out alien beings and to heal every disease and sickness" (Matthew 10:1, 6-8, 12:27-28 NIV). It must be made very clear that the shed blood of Jesus totally and completely "disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross" (Colossians 2:15 NIV). Jesus has complete control over them! (See Psalm 72:9; Matthew 12:29; Isaiah 53:10). Jesus bound satan and plundered his house by exorcising his minions (See Matthew 12:29).

Every Born-Again Christian has already been delivered from the enemy and given the victory over demons who are NOT more powerful than Jesus who indwells them (See John 8:36, Ephesians 3:7; 1 Colossians 1:13).

The Christian is only tempted when they are: "...drawn away of his own lust, and enticed" (James 1:14 NIV). The forces of darkness have always been severely restricted. The minions of hell can enslave and oppress fallen people only to the degree that they willingly violate God's law.

DRIVING OUT THE DEVIL

Jesus gave the disciples power and "authority over evil spirits"…. "They went out and preached that people should repent. They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them" (Mark 6:6-13 NIV).

The most common way of dealing with the devils' minions is to drive or cast them out. The Greek word used here is "ekballo," and means to forcibly chase, expel, pull, or take out. However, it is God's responsibility to rebuke and punish the enemy. He will "fight those who fight you" (Isaiah 49:25 TLB).

God did not mean Christians can battle in their power and might, "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal." They must learn to fight "through God" by using the authority and might found only in the name of Jesus "to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God." To guarantee victory, they must have a clean heart before God by "bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:4-5 KJV).

A group of men known as the Seven Sons of Sceva tried to cast out the devil's minions in their strength by using the name of Jesus as an "incantation" without the direct authority and power that comes through the personal infilling of the Holy Spirit. When they tried the "incantation" on a demonized man, the entity replied;

"I know Jesus, and I know Paul. But who are you?' "And he leaped on them and attacked them with such violence that they fled from the house, naked and badly injured." (Acts 19:13-16 NLT)

The authority and power found only in the name of Jesus must be called upon with a clean and humble heart that is fully yielded to God. Remember, it is God who rebukes the enemy, not the Christian! No one should ever attempt to war against the enemy in their strength. Jude said that even the archangel Michael, when fighting against the enemy, "did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!" (Jude 9 NIV - See also Zechariah 3:1-2).

Michael did not dare insult the enemy by fighting with his authority. He recognized that God gave the enemy the power he has in this world, and therefore, only God could rebuke and cast him and his accusations away. God's word is "Like fire" that will consume and break the enemy "like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces" (Jeremiah 23:29 NIV).

THE FUTURE JUDGMENT OF ALL CREATED THINGS

The Bible tells us there was a great flood, and the world is waiting for a future judgment (2 Peter 3:6). The cosmos (heavens and Earth) is waiting for that judgment (2 Peter 3:7).

Human beings are the highest intelligent beings and life forms revealed in the Old Testament Torah (the five books of Law and Wisdom) and the New Testament Gospels and Epistles. The plan of redemption is about human beings alone.

God is not limited to our four-dimensional world. He has infinite and perfect knowledge of the past, present, and future because He lives outside the time-space continuum. God has chosen to know everything. He is trustworthy, as defined by His omnipotent, immutable, and omnipresent attributes. All of Creation reveals the infinite perfection of God's wisdom (See Psalm 139).

THE DIMENSIONAL BREAK-UP

Michio Kaku, a professor of theoretical physics at the City College of New York, developed a theory known as "Hyperspace." It is suggested that the ten-dimensional infant universe may have split into two parts an instant after it came into being. This could have resulted from Adam and Eve's fall when the Law of Entropy (decay) took effect. It caused a splitting of the ten dimensions into two parts consisting of the three dimensions of space and one of time, and the other six were withdrawn from view in string-like entities of almost infinitesimal size.

The first law of Thermodynamics states that matter cannot be created, destroyed, translated, or transmuted. Scientists studying and observing sub-atomic particles discovered they seem to disappear and vanish moments after being observed in various experiments.

The second law of Thermodynamics is often called "entropy," which is the degree of disorder, breakdown, and decay in a system as energy transfers from one form to another. Chapter three of Genesis reveals that because of Adam and Eve's fall, the Universe's original order is now winding down since it first exploded instantaneously into existence.

God created the Universe out of multiple dimensions of space and time that are difficult to comprehend and understand without Trusting-Faith in Him.

"By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible." (Hebrews 11:3 NIV)

God dwells in more than this tri-dimensional world, yet He is able to interact without one's ability to understand how He does that. If He existed in only one dimension, He would have had to have been created at one point. If He were simply a three-dimensional God, the laws of physics would not allow Him to hear all prayers simultaneously or be omnipresent, which is the ability to be in more than one place at a time.

CONCLUSION

Those who claim the Bible speaks of extraterrestrial beings moving across the Earth in trans-dimensional spacecraft are wildly speculating with no legitimate support in Scripture. The book of Ezekiel has nothing to do with ETs and UFOs. People cannot read the Scriptures and extract support for their supposition(s). Words can only mean what the original author intended to indicate in their grammatical and historical context.

The Prophet Ezekiel did not encounter a UFO. He experienced a supernatural vision of the glory of God, who doesn't need a spaceship to get to Earth. The Bible does not mention any possible intelligent life beings living on other planets or solar systems. However, it must be said that the Bible does not say there are, or are not, intelligent, non-supernatural "ET" life forms living somewhere way out there.

The Bible does indicate that Angels and demons are alien beings from another dimension and unseen realm that can interact with human beings within the four dimensions they exist in. If non-demonic ETs are discovered, it will not change any of what the Bible says about the existence of God, the reliability of Scripture, the depravity of human nature and the need for redemption, or the death and resurrection of Jesus.

The Bible is not a textbook about Science, Medicine, or Mathematics. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is all about Jesus and concerns itself with God's redemptive plan and work for human beings who were made in His image and likeness. The Bible reveals that redemption and forgiveness come only through the death of Jesus on the Cross and instructs those who receive Him as Savior and Lord on how they are to live their lives in honor of Him.
