DELIVERANCE FROM THE SPIRIT OF THE LOCAL CHAMPION
There is a spirit called the spirit of the local champion.
This is a spirit that seeks to confine a destiny to one place. Destiny is one of the most important attributes of a human being. The spirit of the local champion is a spirit of oppression and seeks to ensure the victim is frustrated out of their divine destiny.
In Isaiah 54:14, God promises that we will be far from oppression, so that we will not be afraid. ... The word “oppression” is defined as: to weigh heavily on the mind of; worry; to keep down by the cruel or unjust use of authority. In Hebrew it means: injury, fraud, extortion.
Who is a local champion? There are different definitions of a local champion, but I want to dwell on one definition because it reverberates the spiritual implications we are going to be praying about.
I came across an article about who is a local champion a while ago. It was written by some called @lelouch. I want to share some of the things used to describe a local champion from that article because the description is so appropriate to our prayer sermon.
“A local champion, is an individual that is viewed as popular, remarkable and world-class within a relatively small area and who sincerely agrees with the prevailing sentiments. It is not enough to be renowned in your community. You must also believe that you are not far from the best the world has to offer, yet be merely mediocre. A local champion’s territory can cover a province, a state, or even an entire country at times. What doesn’t change is the ease with which outsiders’ achievements diminish the local champion’s supposed heroics.
There are different paths to becoming a LC (local champion) and I will outline what is in my opinion, a plausible and painful one.
The individual actually possesses some talent or form of ability(.)
In the immediate vicinity, this individual’s gifts are a bit distinguishing. Something special, and delighting appears to lie within this person. It, is also raw and unrefined.
The individual finds success and approval without full exertion(.)
The feeling of having done one’s absolute best, is not one the individual is personally familiar with. Giving a little attention, a little thought, a small effort culminates in outsized success. The individual experiences genuine shock when glowing commendations and shiny accolades are offered, for what wasn’t ‘a big deal’ at all. It is theoretically possible that an individual is so talented and rare that any existing task in a chosen field of work, at the individual’s level will not require full effort, but I think it is doubtful in reality.
The individual is generally bored(.)
If learning music, his tutor is easy to satisfy. If in school, she is disappointed that education is no where as enriching or intellectually demanding as she expected it to be. It is mostly too easy, too petty, too trivial to get overly excited about. The individual, is not bored because she dislikes education. On the contrary, she is likely to love knowledge but suspect that she is not getting enough of it.
The individual tries to find new challenges – and fails
A student trying to take non-required advanced courses, an athlete volunteering for more intense training, an employee willfully seeking additional meaningful responsibility. At this stage, ‘More! I can take more’ is what the person says and the stock responses are along the lines of “You’re doing so well already, why bother?” and “We don’t have any provision for that. Relax”.
The individual accepts popular opinion
Against personal judgement, the individual decides to take things slow. This is the point at which the journey to LC status really starts. Patience is often key in life. Patience isn’t the problem. That said, if an individual is being encouraged to consistently wait, for years before encountering suitable opportunities or enjoyable challenges, something might be wrong. The world has a near infinite number of problems, why should any individual willing to confront a few have to wait infinitely?
The individual intuitively perceives that there is a next level, a higher state, despite counsel and advice to the contrary. She sees it in her mind, she feels it with her heart. She knows there has to be, but as she might not be able see literally through her eyes or reach out and seize it with her hands, she gives up the search for “what does not exist”.
She becomes content in the knowledge that right now, what is she doing, is pretty much the best that can be hoped for.
This is how a local champion is made.
Around the same time, in another part of world, another individual with equivalent talent is being pushed to his limits, he has amazing capacity and it is being filled on a constant basis. All things being equal and fair, if his ability is sufficient, he could one day be an authentic ‘star’.
If people with equal latent ability are compared, the one who is encouraged to work harder by broader opportunities generally wins over the long term.” Written by @lelouch
So basically, the write up I just read shows that a local champion is someone that has been curtailed in his or her ability to become a world star, reach out to every part of the world with their gift and be unleashed to reach the greatest heights made possible by God. He or she is now reduced to a confined stage, geographical space or area to exhibit talents that should make a change and difference to the whole planet. Our ministry’s moto is creating fulfilled destinies. How is a destiny fulfilled? By ensuring it touches every person and area in the world where it is supposed and has been programmed to make a total difference. Look at the scriptures below, because it was the earnest desire of Jesus for everyone NOT to be a local champion;

There are so many things that can confine a life or destiny to a localized existence.
In 1 Chronicles 4:9-10, we find a short prayer uttered by an obscure man: "Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother named him 'Jabez' saying, 'Because I bore him with pain. ' Now, Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, 'Oh, Lord, bless me indeed and expand my territory.
His mother had named him Jabez (which means 'pain') saying 'I gave birth to him in pain. ' Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, 'Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain. ' And God granted his request."
He is implied to be ancestor of the Kings of Judah, although not explicitly included in the lineage. Jabez's birth is difficult; for this reason, his mother names him Jabez (Hebrew ???????? [ya'betz]), meaning "he makes sorrowful". Jabez's most important action is to conquer new territory with divine sanction.
Supernatural enlargement is a covenant issue. Deu 19:8-9, “And if the LORD your God enlarge your coast, as he has sworn to your fathers, and give you all the land which he promised to give to your fathers; 9 and if you keep all these commandments and do them, which I command you today, to love the LORD your God and to walk always in His ways, then you shall add three more cities for yourself besides these three,
We are expected to enlarge our coasts expand and grow larger.
What are the Requirements for Expansion. 2Kings 6:1-7
The Floating Ax Head
6 And the sons of the prophets said to Elisha, “See now, the place where we dwell with you is too small for us. 2 Please, let us go to the Jordan, and let every man take a beam from there, and let us make there a place where we may dwell.” You must desire to leave where you are. Like Jabez and these sons of the prophets you must desire a change
So he answered, “Go.”
3 Then one said, “Please consent to go with your servants.”
And he answered, “I will go.” 4 So he went with them. And when they came to the Jordan, they cut down trees. 5 But as one was cutting down a tree, the iron ax head fell into the water; and he cried out and said, “Alas, master! For it was borrowed.”
6 So the man of God said, “Where did it fall?” And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float. 7 Therefore he said, “Pick it up for yourself.” So he reached out his hand and took it.
Prophetic drama was what ensured that this sons of the prophet were able to successfully change their abode and enlarge their coast. Prophet drama might be required for you to move to your place of destiny.
When you are rooted to one place physically, there are certain spiritual factors that can be involved;
1. You might be operating under a curse which has been positioned to ensure you cannot go beyond a certain geographical expression. Like a goat tied to a wooden peg driven into the ground.
2. You might be locked in by activities of witches, wizards and warlocks
3. You might be lacking the wisdom required to find your way out, as in the case of prophet Elijah
4. You might be suffering the effects of environmental mispositioning. You just need to ask Father Abraham about that.
Prayers
1. Thank God for his ability to change your location and your story by His power and His Grace
2. By the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit I receive divine sanction to move to the place of my global emancipation.
3. I break any spells holding me from prospering in other lands and nations in the name of Jesus.
4. I destroy every evil padlock withholding my movement around the world in the name of Jesus.
5. Any ancestral blockages withholding my movement around the world be removed today in the name of Jesus.
6. Lord you are the one that teaches people to profit. You lead them in the way to go. Through a sign, dreams or prophetic leading or as you desire, show me the place and method of my expansion in the name of Jesus.
7. Lord, destroy every activity of witches, wizards and warlocks holding back my global growth and expansion by the Blood of Jesus in the name of Jesus.
8. In the middle of the night while men sleep you seal their instruction according to your word in Job 33. O Lord open me to instructions that will elevate me to a global star in the name of Jesus.
9. From tonight I reject every nomenclature of local champion in the name of Jesus. Lord turn me into a world champion in the name of Jesus.
10. By prophetic drama, turn me into a global champion in the name of Jesus. Let men and women seek my wisdom in the name of Jesus.
