1. Spiritual needs: Romans 18:16-17; Ephesians 1:3; Colossians 1:9
2. Material needs: Matthew 6:25-34
Philippians 4:19; gathers up all the promises in God’s word that guarantee His abundant provision. Deuteronomy 2:7; Psalm 23:1; 34:10; 37:25; Malachi 3:10; 2 Corinthians 9:8. Let’s look at the words in Philippians 4:19.
I. Personal Supply
1. “My God” Paul’s God, but my God also. Who is He?
a. He is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus and our God through faith in Christ.

2. “Remember”; what we know = we are His.
a. By election; 1 Peter 1:2
b. By creation; Colossians 1:16
c. By donation; John 6:37
d. By redemption; 1 Corinthians 6:20
e. By our own commitment; 2 Timothy 1:12
3. Do you really know, believe he is ours, yours, mine?
a. This promises only to those who can say, “OK my God”.
b. John 20: 28
II. Positive Supply
1. “My God Shall”
2. There are thousands of Gods “Shalls” in the Bible. Not one of these has ever failed or ever will fail.
a. We should have no fear.
b. Numbers 23:1; Titus 1:2

III. God’s Provision
1. “My God Shall Supply.”
2. The Lord promises to fill up to the full.
a. John 2:6-7
b. 1 Timothy 6:17
3. God, through human channels, met Paul’s needs.
a. Philippians 4:14-18
b. He will, through human needs, meet our needs.
c. Luke 6:38
IV. His Promise
1. “My God Shall Supply all your Need.”
2. This means “completeness of God’s supply.”
a. Temporal needs of food and clothing. Matthew 6:32
b. Physical need of health. Luke 9:11
c. Personal need of spiritual food. Luke 10:42
d. Moral need of cleansing. 1 John 1:9
e. Social need of fellowship.
f. Spiritual need of patience. Hebrews 10:36
g. Intellectual need of wisdom. James 1:5
3. Notice it is our “need” God promises to supply.
a. Not wants.
V. Proportionate Supply
1. “My God Shall Supply all your Need according to His Riches.”
2. The Lord gives to us out of His inexhaustible riches.
a. Riches of his goodness. Romans 2:4
b. Riches of his wisdom. Romans 11: 33
c. Riches of his grace. Ephesians 1: 7
d. Riches of his glory. Ephesians 1: 18
3. God not only gives out of his riches, but according to his riches. He gives richly.
a. Who share with Ephesians 3: 20?
1) Able to do exceedingly abundantly.
2) Above all ask or think.
3) According to His power that worketh in us.
VI. The Place of Supply
1. “My God Shall Supply all your Need according to His Riches in Glory.”
2. God supplies our needs from His glorious resources.
a. Heaven
b. Matthew 6:19-21
3. In other words, no power on earth or in Hell can rob us of those riches which are safe in Heaven.
4. Should not concern us as to how God will meet our needs.
a. It’s just enough. He promised to do so.
b. Just trust Him.
VII. The Person of Supply
1. By or in Christ Jesus.
2. Jesus is the channel through which God dispenses His supplies to us. Romans 8:32
3. My God; Firm
4. Shall Supply, Promise.
5. All your need; Amount
6. According to His riches; Capital.
7. In Glory; Bank.
8. By Christ Jesus; Signature
The Firm can never go bankrupt, the promise is absolutely certain, the amount is always sufficient the capital is limitless, the bank can never be robbed.
There is a signature on every check, but the check requires endorsing, then cashing.
In other words, God’s promise must be believed and acted upon. Will you?
