What happens after death….
Hebrews 9:27”Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.”
After a person’s death, the familiar and usual statement that we hear is” he/she is gone to be with the Lord. I ponder: ’Was he with the Lord while on earth to be with God after death?’ Nobody dares to ask that question and besides none can judge, as per the above scripture, each of us have to face GOD at His judgment seat where our fate would be decided.
Well, having said that, I happened to watch a Christian movie, after the dad passed away, during the funeral service the mom whispers to her daughter, ‘do not worry, dad has gone to be with the Lord’, she in turn retorts, ‘ was dad with the Lord while with us to now be with the Lord after death?’ A big argument and fight erupts after that statement; however, this girl in the movie is after the soul of her loved ones, though tough she works on that. She resigns her job to be with her dying atheist friend, who finally accepts Christ in her death bed. Not many have this passion, burden, courage and endurance while sharing the gospel with a stony-hearted person.
I was invited to preach in a prayer meeting that was gathered to pray for the eldest daughter who was in the last stage of cancer. Well, it was a big gathering in a village, I spoke on repentance and turning back to God boldly and then finally prayed for the sick lady, she heard the sermon with tears, after few months she passed away. She had two children, who were very small at that time, they regularly attend our meetings even now after the death of their mother.
When the mother of the officer who worked with me was in her final hours of death, I requested him to allow me to pray for her, they were Brahmin family and the officer was reluctant to allow me to go into the ICU and pray for his mom. However, I kept pressing him to allow me, finally I was allowed to enter the ICU with the Bible to pray for a Brahmin lady who had just few hours to live. I was not distracted or intimidated by the tubes or the situation, I bent and whispered in her ears to accept Jesus Christ as her savior because only then she would go to heaven I said, after that I prayed for her. While I was doing this, many eyes were watching me from the glass door…..
We should always remember that we are on a mission to save souls….
There was one Brahmin woman who attended our prayer meetings only for her needs to be met. Her husband lived a very wicked life and suddenly he passed away in a young age, she called me excitedly after the burial and said:’ while we were taking the coffin box, the ambulance halted near a church because of traffic, I quickly said a prayer to Jesus to forgive him and accept him into heaven and I felt peace. Praise God, my husband is in heaven now,” I listen to crazy things like this, two days later she found out that her husband had purchased a big apartment for his girl friend and he had told everyone in the flat that she was his wife. Now where is he???
Instead of praying, crying, interceding for the person while they are still alive, we cry in the funeral and comfort ourselves with deceptive thoughts. Are you listening?
My testimony: After my salvation, one day I had a terrible dream, where I saw people being thrown into a pit of fire, I started screaming and crying, “Lord save them’ , He replied, ‘You save them by preaching the Gospel to them.” God puts the burden into our hearts.
WHO GOES TO HEAVEN:
Now according to scriptures, let us see ‘who goes to heaven’
OBEDIENT CHRISTIANS: Not all Christians or church-goers will go to heaven but only those who obey the Word of God says the Bible, read:
Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY:
Worshiping Mary or the saints, reciting rosary cannot take you to heaven, Jesus is the only way for salvation and to enter heaven. We don’t need to pray to Mary to reach Jesus, we have easy and free access to Jesus, read:
John 14:13”And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (very clear)
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, except the name of JESUS.”
Acts 16:31 :And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Who goes to HELL:
Remember this point, it is Jesus who decides who goes to hell, read:
Matthew 10:28
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
Revelation 21:8 But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
Based on your life lived on earth, God gets to decide your eternity, read:
Matthew 25:31-46
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, ...
Matthew 7:13-14
“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
Galatians 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
HEAVEN IS REAL
Philippians 3:20-21
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
John 14:2-3
In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
HELL IS REAL
Mathew 13: ]49 "So it will be at the end of the age; the angels will come forth and take out the wicked from among the righteous,
50 and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Mark 9: 43 If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out.
Jude 1:7 In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.
Mathew 25: 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
