Psalm 30:4,5 NKJ
Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His,
And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.
For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for life;
Weeping may endure for a night,
But joy comes in the morning.
One definition of the word favor by Webster is: special privileges or rights granted.
You are, because of your genealogy are in an elite group of people. Some might say do you know who my family is?
Well if your a Christian, yes I do, Because I’m part of your family. Far to often we have the tendency to forget who we truly are and the value that has been placed on who we are.
Circumstances steal are attention away from the plans God has for us, as well as the supernatural abilities God has equipped us with.
David realized and wrote in psalms 23:6 “surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life!”
But you need to stop and realize not only David, but everyone grafted into Gods family through their Salvation experience, or as a direct descendant of Abraham has been blessed with the same covenant ability to receive the Favor of God.
What a person decides to do with the Favor God gives to them, like everything else in life is a choice!
Man’s favor, gives you an advantage for success in the natural. And we go through life, constantly on the lookout for mans favor and mans approval. For someone who will give us a break, or an opportunity to advance and get ahead!
God’s Favor, gives you an advantage in the natural and the supernatural! God’s Favor is everywhere! Gods favor knows no boundaries, has no inhibitions, doesn’t look for qualifications, is not based on getting in return, only for opportunities to show itself!
How does someone get Gods Favor show up in their life? By creating a Favor garden and cultivating it!
Before David realized God’s goodness, mercies and willingness to follow him all the days of his life. The first thing David did was to proclaim who God was in his life and what God was willing to do in his life.
Psalms 23:1-5 NKJ these first 5 verses each one of them are proclamations of the goodness of God! It’s no wonder why The 23rd Psalm is the favorite of so many Christians!
Vs 1. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
(David made the proclamation, he was going to look to God for every need, trust and have faith God would provide. Faith releases God’s Favor in a persons life in all areas!
The Bible says I’ve never seen the righteous for sake in or his seed begging for bread!)
Vs 2. He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
( doesn’t say here that, David is toiling or looking intently for green pastures and still waters. Scripture says God simply provides for him blessings! So many times we think we have to toil or labor for things. Toil equals self effort, trust equates to the realization of Gods Favor and supernatural ability to effortlessly bless our every situation!)
Vs 3. He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
( there will be times we will take the wheel of the car of life and drive the car into the ditch! David did this more than once, we all have! But with each time came repentance and with repentance comes forgiveness and with forgiveness comes restoration!
Not because of our righteousness, but because of Gods righteousness He continually offers, covers and protects us with, because He has given us His Word. And Gods Word never returns void, Gods Word always accomplishes its objective!)
Vs 4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
(As long as God is in charge, that’s all we need to know!
Romans 8:38,39 NKJ says,
38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
David realized this and found comfort in the fact that no matter what happened he didn’t have to fear because God was in charge, God was with him, God was taking care of every situation!)
5
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
(David realized even when we can’t see what God is doing in the supernatural, we can take comfort in knowing God is doing all that He can do for our situation! Continually working all things for our advantage with one thing in mind. Our well being!
Jeremiah 29:11 RSV
11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope
David knew and realized how important Gods Favor was on his life! As Gods children, we need to do the same if we’re ever going to receive all the blessings God has in store for us!
No matter how things appear God is always working his plans for his children! That’s why David could so confidently proclaim vs 6 of Psalms 23!
“surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life!”
When you put God first, when you Focus on Gods Favor and trusting in His ability instead of your own, Good things, Super natural blessings, will start to happen in your life!
When you are willing to proclaim and focus on what God can do for you, you open the door for His favor to come flooding into your life!
When you walk in His Favor, you have the advantage for success, you have a God-given edge! It’s time for Christians all over the world to start using what they have been given, and start walking in the favor of God in every situation of their life!
It’s time to get over the wrongs that have been done to us and start focusing on what’s right in our lives and what God wants to do in every situation.
Far too many fail to realize, one moment in the marvelous light and favor of God’s willingness and ability to pour into their life, can propel them 10,000 times further than a lifetime of effort of their own!
Abraham, Noah, Moses, Ruth, David, Jabez and the list is long of those who walked tall and proud in the unlimited Favor God has available!
Thing is, the list is still growing. Why not add your name to the names on the list we just read?
I believe with all my heart, Bible history is still being written. Books are still being written and orchestrated to be shared into the future plans God has to prosper His Children!
One moment in His Supernatural Favor, can take anything wrong, turn it around and make it benefit you! Any problem you will ever face, is at best temporary and better days are closer than you think they are!
If anyone ever knew about what were talking about here, it was Joseph,
Sold into slavery not once but twice, accused wrongly and imprisoned,
There were several times it appeared he was down for the count, but he was never out!
Because he knew, he had the favor of God on his life and he kept telling himself, God has plans for me, big plans, plans to prosper me and not harm me!
And that’s exactly what God did, God prospered everything Joseph touched as victorious and in the winners circle in the end! Praise God!
God can, God is able and wants to do the same for you and even more when you are willing to trust Him and walk in His miraculous way making favor!
Hebrews 10:35,36 Amp.
35.Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward.
36.For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.
Right now the media, the accuser would have you believe and think things are much worse than they are in the world.
And if you were only to go by what you see in the natural, it’s easy to be taken in by the lies and deceptions displayed!
But God would have me tell you to realize just as David did and proclaim God’s willingness to pour into your life with His amazing favor Blazing what seems like a wilderness sometimes making a way to a prosperous preplanned abundant life for you!
Plans God has had waiting for you to arrive at, you entire life!
God wants you to know you to can say with confidence, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life!”
