Meet Me At East St .
2 chronicles 29:1 -4, 16(KJV)
Hezekiah began to reign when he was five and twenty years old, and he reigned nine and twenty years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah.
2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that David his father had done.
3 He in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of the house of the Lord, and repaired them.
4 And he brought in the priests and the Levites, and gathered them together into the east street,And the priests went into the inner part of the house of the Lord, to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of the Lord into the court of the house of the Lord. And the Levites took it, to carry it out abroad into the brook Kidron.
Hezekiah was 29 when he became king & was living in a society that rejected God & the house of God.
There was only one dilemma for the mess his nation was in ,they had to return to God, Judah needed a revival.
They were facing cataclysmic problems for two reasons... they had rejected God & the house of God.
Hezekiah knew that in the old tabernacle of Moses that the Israel camps put up Gods tent before they built their own houses , then that they built their houses around Gods house. The message was clear... Gods house must be the main focus of Gods people again.
You know your drifting away from God when you have lost zeal for Gods house .

My strong love for your Temple completely controls me [L?“Zeal for your house will consume me”
The devil will do whatever he can to disconnect you from Gods house because if he can disconnect you from Gods house , he can disconnect the gate of Heaven from your life.
The house of God is the gate of blessing & families lose Gods blessings when they get loose about attending Church.

Hezekiah said I’ve got to get my people back to church.
If I can get them to preach like they used to preach . Shout like they used to,shout, pray like they used to pray, if we could do that God will revive our nation .
The temple was dark, the lights were out , no worship going on, cobwebs , the house of God was broken down for decades.
So Hezekiahs first duty as king was putting a new door on Gods house.
We can’t lock out the people that are supposed to be coming here .
We want prostitutes turning into preachers
We want Crack attics to be Evangelists .
The door to the church swings both ways , we don’t just need to be a blessed in here, we need to be a blessing out in our everyday life as well.
Hezekiah called the Levites & said if you want a move of God or revival, meet me at east street.
Hundreds of thousands gathered at east street.
We need to go to east street .
They began to clean out Gods house , and they took out the trash, clutter and junk.
We need to clean out our temples !
We need to clean out sin . gossip , offended spirits, filthiness of the flesh.
The temple wasn’t vandalized, it was neglected.
Do you want to know what you have to do to lose Gods presence ?
Nothing !
We can neglect prayer , giving , and then the temple gets filled with other things .
You leave a house alone for years, it will fall apart . That happens in our temples too.
The Bible said they took all of that trash and said if we can just get it in the river , the river will wash it away .
Wash away the pain, disappointment, let the river wash it all out , cleanse us out .
God can do more in 5 minutes of us jumping in the river than anything I can do or say !
Another sermon or song won’t help you , but if you,can in that river that loves , that river of life that’s flowing out of your belly you will be set free , get in the river !
Even though the temple had been neglected for,decades, they repaired it totally in 8 days .
What decades destroyed , was fixed in 8 days.
If you will meet me at east st, Holy Spirit will cleanse you !
Next he said get the musical instruments & let’s praise God before it happens !
