We always hear the statement that "God is good all the time", but do we really believe in the truth of this word that we hear all the time.? because if we do believe in this word, then we should get to a place of trusting and believing in what we say. For it is true that our God is good.
Believing in the fact that God is good is not always easy especially when we are seeing a lot of things happening all over the world and in our lives. There is a season for everything according to the word of God in
Ecclesiastes 3
To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
A time [a]to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;
A time to love,
And a time to hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace.
We can see from this chapter of the bible it is actually true when we look around us that there is a time for everything here on earth.
Therefore, in every season we are to trust in the faithfulness of God Almighty the creator of the seasons and as we put our trust in Him, He alone will help us all in every area of our lives that we need His help. God has never given up on His children that He created and called His own from the foundation of the world - Ephesians 1. We are God's own creation and since we are His children, we are to seek His face in every situation of life.
I am not going to lie and say to us that it is easy and not do anything , that we have a God that is ever present in our lives? Yes we do have God in our lives, but we have a part to play in this season and that is to pray without ceasing - 1 Thessalonians 5: 16 - 18. Sincerely sometimes I do not want to pray or I do not know what to pray about but that is the time that I turn to the Holy Spirit to help me in my time of weaknesses according to the promise Jesus gave to us in the bible
John 14: 15 - 18
Jesus Promises Another Helper
If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
Romans 8: 26 - 27
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
This is where we see the faithfulness of our God. god does care for us and as Jesus was leaving to go back to His Father, he gave us the Holy Spirit to help us all in our weaknesses, like I said sometimes I do not know what to say in prayers or I have been praying for a particular thing for a long time and I do not seem to see the answer, this is when I look for the help of the Holy Spirit.
But we are supposed to ask for his help at all times, not only when everything is Honkey dory. He wants us to come to Him for help and He desires to help us in every circumstance of our lives.
2 Timothy 2:13
If we are faithless,
He remains faithful;
He cannot deny Himself.
This simply means that whenever we do not understand the situation around us or when we are afraid to go to the Holy Spirit for help, He says to us that as for Him, He will always be there to help us and be faithful to us, even though we are sometimes faithless.
God is a faithful God.
His word says this to us in the book of Proverbs 3: 5 - 6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall [a]direct your paths.
This is what our faithful God is saying. But do we trust in Him when things are not as we want it to be? do we trust Him enough in every area of our lives? Do i trust in Him when my husband decides to leave our house to go and live somewhere else? Or do i still trust Him when unimaginable things is going on, all over the world? Do we still put our trust in Him when we are not having enough food to feed our family.?
There are lots of things that we are all seeing today in our world that we are praying about but things don't seem to be changing. But if we do trust in God who says that He is faithful, then we must decide to live by faith and not by sight - 2 Corinthians 5:7: Hebrews 11:6: Romans 10:17.
God is a faithful God.
God said to us that in His faithfulness, He will never leave us nor forsake us - Hebrews 13:5 ; Deuteronomy 31:6. We have God Himself living in us according to his word in 1 Corinthians 3:16, and because of this He will always remain faithful to us, for He cannot deny Himself.
God who is forever faithful to us has never ever failed from the beginning to the end, He will be faithful. Our part that we need to work on, is to be faithful to Him as well. His word says to us that will will diligently reward those that are faithful to Him in the following books:
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
James 1 :12
Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
Matthew 7 : 7
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Deuteronomy 4 : 29
But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
We can see that in us been faithful, God says to us that He will always be faithful and remember even if we are not faithful, He as promised us that He will always be faithful to us to his glory and whatever God says is, He will not deny Himself.
Life is sometimes difficult but let us be encouraged that we serve a living God who said in Psalm 62:11 "God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God."
All power does belong to Him and what He has promised to us will be done according to his word. And He also promises that the plan He as for us is to prosper us and not to harm us in - Jeremiah 29:11 ; Psalm 34:8 ; Isaiah 26:3 ; John 16:33.
God is a faithful God.
The will of our God is to bless us in His faithfulness and in this season when there are lots of unrest, all we can do is to believe in Him will all of our heart and to trust that He that started a good thing will finish it to His glory - Philippians 1:6.
Believing in God will have to be through the help of the Holy Spirit and by mediating on His promises which are Yes and Amen - 2 Corinthians 1:20.
Remain blessed in the faithfulness of God Almighty and the desires for our lives will be established to His glory. Bless you.
