Introduction:
When God created us, he gave us the best gift, with no other creation have it but only human. The “free will”. Our will is powerful, that it can break or make us.
Genesis 3:1-6(NKJV). 3 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”
4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was [a]pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.
After this story, we all know what happened , they both fell into sin.
and the Bible told us that we inherited that sin.
Their heart was deceived by the cunning and deceiving word of Satan.
Man's heart then was distorted with regards to wrong desires.
We lost focus on God, we become so focus to our self, our need, our own desires…
Man's desire after that fall, was totally became against the will of God for him.
The Parable of the Rich Fool
13 Then one from the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”
14 But He said to him, “Man, who made Me a judge or an arbitrator over you?” 15 And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of [a]covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”
16 Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. 17 And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’ 18 So he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” ’ 20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’
21 “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
God is not against your :
Productivity/Wisdom – Luke 12:16 (this is our work and business that we love and prioritize)
Wealth/possessions – Luke 12:18
Entertainment/enjoying your fruit – Luke 12:19
Eccl. 2:24
24 Nothing is better for a man than that he should eat and drink, and that his soul should enjoy good in his
labor.
These things come from Him.
He is able to give it to you, God is willing to entrust it to us
What he wants is our heart. The problem is the heart.
Our heart.
A heart that desires God
Is it Godly? Is our heart seek the Will of God?
Is our heart seek the purpose of God, and do it?
The Lord wants us to seek His will and His righteousness.
The problem with our “Heart”, with our “WILL”
When we think only of SURVIVING not in TRUSTING God…
We lost focus on God’s word, God’s promises, God’s principle
Mateo 16:25
2 25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
Mateo 6:33
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Going back to the story…
On the other way around, we can think of:
I don't have that resources as in the parable (Rich Fool)
I don't have the field,
I don't have the barns
I don't have that same wealth.
Well, how about your heart? How is your relationship with the Lord?
Do we recognize Him in our daily life? Do we pray and ask for His divine leading in our life?
Do we prioritize him in our decision?
Do we allow His Word to be the number one consideration in our life?
Notice in v.20
What's the Lord answer?
20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’
'Fool!
This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’
Fool or “Foolishness” meaning “no Regard for God”
in other words “no Regard for God/Creator”, source of strength, healing, Work, grace and blessings…
“no Regard" – imagine, you don't recognize God in your life.
What would the Lord feel, when He sees His children has no regard of Him?
Never set aside God, in your life. Make Him your priority.

Give Careful Attention to what you want, or to what you desire.
The desires of our heart is important with our Lord, it shows all the contents of our heart.
Guard it, protect it, make it righteous, godly and align in the Word of God.
Do not forget that our energy, resources , health , work everything we have comes from the Lord.
Luke 12:32
32 “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. (resources from His Kingdom)
this is the Lord's will, to supply us with the resources from His Kingdom.
Jesus clearly instructs us not to be so concern (not to put so much of our will on the things of this world) with the wealth of this world, because what we save for this world will only lead to nothing, but instead we ought to save in the wealth of Heaven.
everything we do for Him, it brings treasures for us in Heaven…
Luke 12:33b-34
33b ... a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
“For where your treasure is , there will your heart be also.”
