We need to be filled with the Holy Sprint
Ephesians 5: 15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
The weak worldly fleshly, carnal minded crowd self center we need a real touch from Holy Spirit of God in our lives. In order to get the job done for our Lord.
(1) Confession of all sin.
Psalms 66: 18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
Secret sin-keeps prayers from being answered.
Selfish sin-fruit of the flesh hurts your testimony.
Spirit –filled takes care of both.
(2) Clean vessel.
Acts 15: 8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
Mind of the spirit not the flesh.
Morals will be high and Holy
Manners will be managed by the spirit.
(3) Claim God’s promises.
Acts 1: 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Faith takes God at his word.
Fully trust his finished work.
Faithful following his will.
(4) Commit yourselves to Christ.
Acts 8: 14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
Total surrender is the only way.
Time to serve Christ as he directs.
Temptations are over come by faith.
(5) All credit belong to Christ.
Acts 4: 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
Program is God”s design
Plan is God’s directions
Praise come by full dedication.
(6) Cooperate with the Lord’s will.
Acts 5: 29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
Follow his Holy Spirit’s leadership.
Forget all your failures.
Forfeit your self claims.
(7) Called to a special duty.
Superior person you are serving.
Summons provides the script.
The supernatural is needed to succeed.
