As we look around the world in the day and age in which we live, we find ourselves questioning everything we’re told. The truth is we have never had more access to information, but have never been more weary of the information we are being told as truth.
The go to response for knowledge and truth is, “ask siri or ask your phone!” While I’ll admit having the ability to find out things and gain knowledge at your fingertips in a few seconds is amazing.
We find ourselves wondering more and more if all the information we obtain is actually truth, or the ulterior motive of the alternative of what we’ve always known as truth and what is Good!
One might always say anyone given the choice, can make the distinction between good and evil! In the Information Age we live in, how can one be so sure?
Ephesians 6:12 Living Bible (TLB)
12 For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies—the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world.
Everyone keeps saying and we keep hearing over and over the phrase, “this is the new normal!”
There is an old saying, “if it walks, talks and acts like a duck...it’s a duck!” What we are witnessing is not the new normal, what we are witnessing is the devil getting all of his ducks in a row!
To trust or not to trust, that is the question, the decision made between those two choices, is what either gives you peace of mind which passes all understanding, or makes you worry, from worry to worry!
Worry is another word for fear! Fear is the opposite of Faith! Now more than any other time in history Christians need to rise up and stand together in faith and start using and trusting in their God given measure of Faith!
If your faith is in the ability of God there is no need to worry!
If your faith is in your own ability, or the ability of Government and world leaders, well....that’s why we are witnessing what is being represented as fear. But is really a divisive war being played out for all flesh, by the principalities of darkness, right before our very eyes!
Millions of people and some of them are Christians, have become willing participants of what’s going on with the accusers agenda and aren’t even aware of it!
On the other hand, millions of people are witnessing the same thing and most of them are Christians and are sitting on their hands on the sidelines, doing nothing!
The time has come to become a proactive partner in Faith with God, rather than the reactive stance of fear to what is going on around us, both seen and unseen in the heavenly’s!
Romans 8:1-4 MSG
1-2 With the arrival of Jesus, the Messiah, that fateful dilemma is resolved. Those who enter into Christ’s being-here-for-us no longer have to live under a continuous, low-lying black cloud. A new power is in operation. The Spirit of life in Christ, like a strong wind, has magnificently cleared the air, freeing you from a fated lifetime of brutal tyranny at the hands of sin and death.
3-4 God went for the jugular when he sent his own Son. He didn’t deal with the problem as something remote and unimportant. In his Son, Jesus, he personally took on the human condition, entered the disordered mess of struggling humanity in order to set it right once and for all. The law code, weakened as it always was by fractured human nature, could never have done that.
The law always ended up being used as a Band-Aid on sin instead of a deep healing of it. And now what the law code asked for but we couldn’t deliver is accomplished as we, instead of redoubling our own efforts, simply embrace what the Spirit is doing in us.
Far to many people live like their still waiting for Jesus to obtain victory, rather than coming from the position of power and the realization He already has obtained Absolute Victory!
“The Spirit of life in Christ, like a strong wind, has magnificently cleared the air, freeing you from a fated lifetime of brutal tyranny at the hands of sin and death.”
TBS.(the Bible says) in Mark 6:34 NKJ
34. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
I hear you, I hear what your saying, but what about the “what ifs”? You know, what if this and that might happen tomorrow?
What about the what ifs? Who cares about the what if’s!
Jesus already crushed every what if, the devil will ever conceive!
The what if’s are not going to go to, or help you get to, Or be there waiting for you at the level of destiny, God has waiting for you to arrive at!
TBS. let the what ifs, worry about the what ifs!
That sounds like a fabulous idea, doesn’t it? And that’s exactly what every believer should do.
After all, God’s Grace is greater than any problem we will ever face, Amen?
Then tell me why do so many people, let so much stuff get to them all the time?
Because when we worry, when w allow fear to cripple or offense, we make it about the capabilities of our self effort!
We try to make it all about right living and right doing! All of the things we can control, instead of right believing.
The childlike faith of right believing! Which is the most POWERFUL OFFENSE we can mount or have against the onslaught of never ending attacks the accuser throws at us!
And we find the answer to worry free living, in the verses right before our text scripture!
Mark 6:31-33 NKJ
31. “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
32. For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
33. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
I want you to think back to a time years ago, when you came to trust God and you finally realized no matter what happened, everything would be alright.
Let me ask you a question? Has Gods willingness to provide provisions and blessings for you ever one time changed?
Joseph Larson sings the song “Didn’t I walk on the water” and towards the end of the song the refrain goes like this;
Didn’t I put food on your table, show up when your bills are due. When pains were wrecking your body I sent healing down to you. When you were lost in sin and sorrow, I died to set you free. So you would know just how much I love you!
Who hasn’t ever received an unexpected blessing from God?
I can remember receiving my deposit back from a multi billion dollar electric company. When it’s not their policy to ever return deposits, just in time to pay the rent that was due!
I want to ask another serious question. Be truthful now. Has God ever truly one time ever failed you?
I’m not talking about the times self has failed you,
or friends have let you down and failed you,
or family has let you down and failed you,
or your government or your country has failed you,
or the business you work for,
or the person who might be your boss or in charge of your promotion has failed you!
I would venture to say God has been blamed for failing you, but God never one time has failed you!
When you pray and ask for God‘s will in your life and for God to direct and lead your life, God will never fail you no matter what you may attempt to do!
Matthew 6:34 MSG
34 “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.
Will there be times you will question circumstances and events, doors opening and closing? Yes, but as long as you are willing to trust the results to God, the restful peace of mind coming from your decision will take you to victory after victory!
Places you could’ve never been able to achieve, even with many lifetimes of effort on your own!
Looking back now over Gods blessing on my own life. Bankers know my name, affluent people know my name, town officials know my name, but most importantly God knows my name and all I can say is Look what the Lord has done, God is so faithful to His word, Praise God!
Romans 8:15-17 MSG
15-17 This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?” God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who he is, and we know who we are: Father and children. And we know we are going to get what’s coming to us—an unbelievable inheritance! We go through exactly what Christ goes through. If we go through the hard times with him, then we’re certainly going to go through the good times with him!
As we wonder how what we are witnessing happening in the world on a daily basis and how things are going to play out, we don’t have to wonder where God is in all the chaos!
We know the Bible says God is working all things for the good of those who love him! Nothing, not one thing ever happens seen or unseen takes God by surprise!
Our reaction should never be one of the worry of what in the world is going on!
Our response should always be one of, “what’s next Papa?”
What’s next Papa? Like a little child says when morning comes, “what are we going to do today daddy?”
Matthew 11:25-28 TLB
25 And Jesus prayed this prayer: “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding the truth from those who think themselves so wise, and for revealing it to little children. 26 Yes, Father, for it pleased you to do it this way! . . .
27 “Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father. Only the Father knows the Son, and the Father is known only by the Son and by those to whom the Son reveals him. 28 Come to me and I will give you rest—all of you who work so hard beneath a heavy yoke. Wear my yoke—for it fits perfectly—and let me teach you; for I am gentle and humble, and you shall find rest for your souls; for I give you only light burdens.”
How do we find rest through the chaotic mess the accuser continually throws at society? By coming, believing and trusting with the faith of a child!
By trusting in our God given measure of faith and realizing everything is going to be alright, because God says it will and that’s enough!
Growing up, I thought my dad could and fix anything. I treasured the times just he and I would take a long road trip. I remember one time in 1973 when I was about ten years old and we had eaten supper out, which was a big deal!
We pulled out after eating on U.S. 30 and a hot rod pulled up next to us. We were driving what probably weighed two times or more than the other car, but still I thought my dads car was the fastest car around.
It was a 68’ Ford 4 door station wagon, with a three on the tree and a 390 V8 with a 4 bbl carb, which by today’s standards would describe a tank.
I leaned over with all the faith in the world in my dad and whispered to him, “you can take him dad!”
And that’s exactly how God wants us to be with Him, when we ask Him to accomplish the impossible situations in life!
To come, ask and believe with only the expectation and faith of a child!
Whatever you may face, no matter how big the situation might seem, God only requires childlike faith to move the mountain and meet any need!
