The Miracle of Now!
John 11:40 NKJ
40.Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
What does the glory of God mean to you?
*Is it food in your belly when you’re hungry and someone unexpectedly feeds you or buys you something to eat?
*Is it forgiveness you’re seeking from someone?
*Is it a miracle of healing that you need in your life.
*Is it financially motivated?
When God’s Glory shows up, do you always notice right away? Or do you witness the hand of God and only realize later what has happened?
The same God,
*who parted the Red Sea,
*fed multiple thousands with a child’s lunch
*caused the walls of Jericho to fall, with a trumpet blast and a shout,
*healed the sick, by the thousands
*raised the dead on many occasions,
*who also has performed so many miracles the number is unrecordable...
*and still performs miracles today, on a regular basis.
However, even with all of those accolades, some Christians doubt wether God wants to work a miracle for them today.
The circumstances they face are real! The pain and the suffering is great! But I want you to never forget, God is still bigger than any circumstance!
God is greater than any suffering and pain they feel and still on the throne meeting needs for those who can believe, AND...AND receive their miracle!
Did you know, Receiving is every bit as important as believing is, for a miracle?
Anyone can say they have faith and believe God can do a miracle! Having the faith to receive the miracle personally you are believing for is the realization THAT God loves you enough, to do what you are asking!
Far to many believe there are still miracles performed today, but they are not for them. That line of thinking is totally anti scriptural as pertaining to the reference, “God is not a respecter of persons!”
How could anyone, think their circumstance could defy the power and might of the One True Living God? Why would God meet the needs of others, but not meet their needs?
They may feel they are not worthy, okay I guess that’s a reason. But I would argue it’s validity!
Because if you’re a Christian, Jesus has made you worthy, because Jesus is your worthiness!
Whatever reason anyone can come up with, as to why Healing is not for them, is in no way a match for the cross and the finished work of Our Lord and Savior Jesus!
Whatever they think it is that unqualifies them, Jesus has already prequalified them in advance!
Jesus is their qualification! In fact Jesus has over qualified them!
Listen, we may not feel overqualified, what we feel will never have nothing to do with our qualification!
If we’re ever going to see our needs met, we better start grabbing ahold of and standing on the fact that we have been qualified enough to receive whether we feel like it or not, because of what Jesus has done for us!!
We don’t need any other reason, other than the fact we have Jesus and what Jesus has accomplished for us and that will always be more than enough!!
When the accuser reminds us of the so called bad hand we have been dealt. We need to remind him that we have a trump card! We have Jesus!
There’s no hand and there’s nothing new under the sun the accuser can ever come up with, that will ever be greater than what Jesus has already accomplished for us and provided for our defense!
Do you know why Germany, Japan and every other country America has ever been at war with has no fear today? Because we are still there defending them! Thousands of troops are still defending them!
Spiritually it’s similarly the same way with Christians
We don’t have to worry ourselves about our defense or defending ourselves against the attack of the accuser, because Jesus is and will always be defending us!
It’s time Christian’s everywhere took up the offense and the powerful, POWERFUL STRATEGIC STANCE of resting in Jesus capabilities!!
All we have to do is rest in what Jesus already did and realize everything Jesus did, Jesus did for us!
The scourging Jesus endured is enough!
The cross Jesus sacrificed His Life on is enough!
The pit of hell Jesus conquered, shaking the gates of and confiscating the keys of, is enough!
Jesus deliverance of God’s Grace WILL ALWAYS BE MORE THAN ENOUGH!
Oh there are a lot of Christians that talk a good game,
They come to church regularly, know their bible pretty good, hear the word and say all the right things Christians are suppose to say.
There are also a lot of Christians who are running around accepting a host of things, the accuser and the world is telling them is wrong with them!
Its like they go to a great feast, have the finest table spread and a seven course meal of miracles is set before them!
They see them right there in front of them, they can even almost smell the aroma from the exquisitely prepared meal, but they never partake of the meal,
They go away limping and complaining, empty handed every time!
Oh they talk about how everything will be perfect one day in the sweet by and by. When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be, and it will be!
But the time for talking is over, TALK IS CHEAP and the Devil knows it!
Now is the time for action! Now is the time for Faith!
Faith is defined as complete trust in someone or something!
Believing Jesus wants to do and will do miracles for everyone else and not you....is not Faith!
It’s contrary to Scripture and It’s a lie from the pit of hell! No matter how it may ever be sugarcoated by its description, it will always be a lie from the pit of hell!
We don’t have to wait until we get to Heaven to experience the Grace, the goodness and the unmerited favor of God.
Jesus has already delivered and is dispersing all of those things and more, in reckless abandon TBS!
2 Corinthians 9:8 MSG
God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you’re ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done. As one psalmist puts it, He throws caution to the winds, giving to the needy in reckless abandon. His right-living, right-giving ways never run out, never wear out. This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God
God wants us to know that He is still the God of miracles today.
Its like the parable of the sower in Matt. 13:3-9 NKJ.
3.“Behold, a sower went out to sow.
4. And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them.
5. Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth.
6. But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away.
7. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them.
8. But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
9. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
So many people go through the motions of Christianity, but never really take hold of what Jesus has made available to them.
We can’t keep expecting God’s best and continuing to be anything but good soil.
You know we hear the word, how good God is and what He wants to do in and accomplish in our lives, And in one ear and right out the other it goes!
Oh we hear it and agree with it, but the word never takes root, So God’s Word can produce and yield the amazing benefits it was designed for!
We need to consistently strive to be good soil! How you may ask? By believing God loves us enough to answer our prayers. Anticipating God loves and wants us to expect to receive what we’re asking and resting in the fact alone He has promised He will deliver on His Word!
God’s Word is sown into our lives over and over, if we let God’s Word take root God’s Word will produce amazing results in our lives we can’t even begin to imagine.
A 100 fold result is a 10,000% return on the seed, which is the word that is sown into ones life.
Its hard to comprehend the power of believing what the Kingdom of God is capable of Delivering! Because we too often measure it, with our own ability!
When it gets right down to the matter, we have to realize, as far as physical ability, we have nothing to do with our need being met!
The Bible gives us a classic example
Martha was like one of those Christians. She wondered if Jesus could perform a miracle when her brother Lazarus died.
Here Martha, had no doubt witnessed countless miracles Jesus was capable of, but yet she wondered if He would do a miracle for situation? Sound familiar?
She had heard the word and seen the word in action, plenty of word had been sown in her circumstances and life.
Plenty of time had went by to as Vs. 7.
Says; And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them.
Her doubt had choked her belief to the point she didn’t think it was possible for Jesus to save her brother.
By the time Jesus arrived on the scene, Lazarus had already been dead for four days. So Marys thought Jesus was four days too late.
Right away Mary said, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.” (John 11:21)
And even when Jesus told Mary straight out, Lazarus would rise again, she said, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” (John 11:24)
Martha, like a lot of Christians, believed Jesus could perform miracles in the past and would do the same in the future,
but she didn’t believe Jesus could give her a miracle when she needed it right then and there in the present.
You see, Martha like a lot of others, was someone who lived wishing the past could be changed and believing the future would be better.
But she did not believe in the possibility of now, even though Jesus was standing right there in front of her, to meet her present need.
What Jesus taught Martha that day, was the counterattack of faith and resting in Jesus ability alone, instead of her own!
Jesus let her know she didn’t have to figure it all out! Because Jesus had already figured it out!
Jesus spoke to the DNA code of Lazarus and Jesus simply rewrote the code back to life! Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead and followed through exactly as He said He would do!
TBS Jesus is not a respecter of person’s! Which means this miracle Jesus performed for Lazarus at the request of Martha and also the benefits from every other miracle recorded in the Bible, we are entitled to!
BTW let me reintegrate Jesus miracles the disciples witnessed were innumerable! There was no way to ever count them all! And I would add, the miracles of Jesus are still ongoing!
There is nothing Jesus hasn’t already faced, defeated and been triumphant over, He is not willing to conquer and do the same for you!
Not only in the days to come, but as soon as the miracle of now!
I pray you will have the opportunity to share this powerful word and your faith this week! This is a word the world needs to hear and is our responsibility to share!
