Summary: Everything God does is good. What He did in the Bible, He's still able to do today.

GOD WILL DO IT AGAIN

"For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob." Malachi 3:6.

God is consistently the same, He never changes! Nothing can be added to Him and nothing can be taken from Him. What He is today He always was. What He is today He shall always be. Every part of His character is as true today as it was at the beginning of time. The God of today is the same God that created everything in the beginning.

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning." James 1:17.

Have you ever gone through a very difficult time and wondered where was God in the situation? This is a human response when things seems to be falling apart. Yet we can trust that God is good. As Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” He always has good plans for us. Everything God does is good. Though we may not understand His ways, we can trust Him fully. "The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works." Psalm 145:9.

"God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?" Numbers 23:19.

God is not a man! Neither is He a woman. God is not human. He is superior beyond the sphere of humanity. Hence, He has no need to repent. God doesn’t lie, so all His promises and covenants are true and sure; He doesn’t change, so His character remains the same. God speaks and acts; He promises and fulfills. He's the Creator and the source of all life.

"who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us," 2 Corinthians 1:10.

The same God who delivered Paul from his prison can deliver you, too. What He did in the past, He's still able to do again and again. The word "again" speaks of new beginnings, fresh starts, once more, repeatedly and another time.

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8.

The Jesus Christ of the Bible who went about doing good is the same Jesus we worship today. Throughout the Bible God reminds His people again and again how He has helped them in the past, and He also promises that He'll continue to help them. It may seem like there is no way out of your current situation, however I want to let you that God can make a way. If God was able to make a way, for the children of Israel, He can do the same in your life! You may not have the slightest idea of how He'll do it, but be rest assured that God will do it. The same God who showed Himself faithful in the past will show up in your life again and again. It's not over until God says its! Don't stop believing in God.

REMEMBER WHAT THE LORD DID:

"17 “If you should say in your heart, ‘These nations are greater than I; how can I dispossess them?’— 18 you shall not be afraid of them, but you shall remember well what the Lord your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt: 19 the great trials which your eyes saw, the signs and the wonders, the mighty hand and the outstretched arm, by which the Lord your God brought you out. So shall the Lord your God do to all the peoples of whom you are afraid." Deuteronomy 7:17-19.

Repeatedly, the children of Israel forgot the miracles God had done for them! Whenever a new problem arises, they grumbled and doubted the power of God. They saw many signs and wonders, including the breathtaking parting of the Red Sea. But once they're settled, they quickly forgot all God had done before their eyes. Psalm 106:7.

Are we any better? Do we not often do the exact same thing? "Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me," Isaiah 46:9. God knows our penchant to forget. That is why He is adamant we be intentional about remembering His goodness. The challenges we face today may be different from yesterday's own, but God remains the same. If He did it before for us, He could do it again for today. Remembering the goodness of the Lord provokes praise and worship. It builds our faith and gives us confidence that He can do it again. Psalms 103:1-2. When you remember God's faithfulness you're able to look forward with trust. Choosing to remember God’s faithfulness will bring hope, instead of frustration, bitterness and despair. Remembering God's goodness doesn’t mean we ignore the problem; It means we put the emphasis on the One who can solve the problem. When you remember the goodness of the Lord it ease the pain in your heart. Remembering God's goodness gives you the courage to keep on. It gives you comfort in times of hopelessness. Unfortunately, we are forgetful people! Forgetting God's goodness leads to unbelief. It causes us to get impatient and not wait on God's timing and direction.

God's at work today! He's still working to fulfill His promises. Romans 4:21. God's able to comfort those who are afflicted. 2 Corinthians 1:4. The Lord is able to give us strength to rise above life's trials. 1 Corinthians 10:13. He's able to make a way for us out of every roadblock. The Most High can still open the way in our Red sea situation. God is still able to deliver those who are bound and oppressed. Daniel 3:17. As Jesus walked the earth 2,000 years ago, He delivered many from bondage, afflictions, and demon possession. He's able to deliver you out of the fiery furnace. Jesus still has power over demons. Just as surely as it is in the Bible, God is able to save those who are lost and in need of salvation today. Hebrews 7:25. Salvation is the deliverance from sin! It means a new life; victory and deliverance from the pain and judgment of sin. No matter how far you've gone, its not too late today! Jesus, can and will save you. God is still healing the sick! The same Jesus who went about healing those who were sick is still healing today! He's still interceding today! While on earth, Jesus interceded in prayer to God the Father for His followers. Luke 22:32. He also prayed for future believers. John 17:20. Sin and Satan may accuse us before God, but Christ by His intercession answers all these charges. Romans 8:33-34. God is still able to hear and answer our prayers. God is able to keep us from falling, and even if we fall, He'll raise us up again. Jude 1:24. He's able to build up those who fall. Acts 20:32. The Almighty is able to lift you up in times of despair, tragedy, hardship and depression. God is able to create something beautiful out of nothing. Matthew 3:9. So if your situations seem hopeless, He can turn things around and make a glorious end. God is still the same God; He does not change! He's still our Saviour, Provider, Healer, and Deliverer. He was, He is, and He always will be God. So don't limit Him. "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work." 2 Corinthians 9:8. The Lord God is working behind the scenes and on our behalf, even when we can’t see it.

"16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. 18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.” Daniel 3:16-18.

Even when faced with the risk of death, they remained steadfast. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego trusted God unconditionally. Their faith in God was not subject to condition, limitation or reservation. Even if God left them in the fire, He would still be God. God's sovereign! He's the Pillar that holds our lives. We can trust Him to deliver us when we're in trouble, but if He doesn’t, He's still God. Our situation don’t change His character and the truth about who He is. “When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.” Psalm 91:15. God could deliver you from whatever situation that's causing you pain, heartache and struggle. But if He chose not to deliver, He's still good. And He is still God.

"Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?" Jeremiah 32:27.

The God who was faithful in the past, will be faithful in the present as well. The same God who brought you through seasons of difficulties is more than able to do it again. He will never forsake you.

1. Know and develop a consistent relationship with God.

To know God is to spend quality time with Him! It is to have an understanding of who He is and to be obedient to Him. To know God is to fear Him. It is to know His ways, principles and patterns. To know God is to walk with Him. It is to draw nearer and closer to God. To know God is to know His Word and obey His Word. Knowing God is a journey!

2. Remember the goodness of the Lord.

1 Samuel 17:34-37. David knew that he could confront Goliath based on the fact of what God had done for him in the past. He could challenge the giant because he knew that since God took care of him in the past, He could and would take care of him in the present.

3. Read and meditate on the Word.

4. Keep praying. Tell the Lord to give you the strength and courage to get back up when life knocks you down.

5. Do not be afraid.

6. Let your faith in God be unshakable and unconditional.

7. Choose to smile and be hopeful, regardless of the situation. Don't give in to self pity and condemnation.

8. Maintain your integrity. Don't compromise; Stand firm.

9. Praise God in every circumstances. Remain joyful. Romans 12:12. Wherever there is joy there will be hope.

10. Do no compare yourself to others.

JESUS IS COMING AGAIN:

"Who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” Acts 1:11.

More than 2,000 years ago, Jesus came from Heaven to earth. He was born of a virgin, grew up and ministered to multitudes, healed the sick, raised the dead, cleansed the lepers, and did so much more. Then He died on a cross to bear our sins! But that was not the end of His story! He rose again from the dead, so that we might be saved through repentance and faith in Him. The Bible has given us promises that this same Jesus will return a second time. Because no one knows when Jesus will come again, we must always be vigilant, ready and prepared.

When the Lord comes, will He find you ready for His return? When the Lord Jesus appears in the clouds, will your heart rejoice with exceedingly great joy? Are you ready to one day meet Christ? What a glorious day that will be! We will be with Jesus forever. To live with Him in eternity is our goal as a Christian. Hence we should live each day with an eye on that future day when “the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God” 1 Thessalonians 4:16. We will be blessed if the Master finds us ready when He comes. Today's the day of salvation! Today's the day to examine your heart! The door of salvation is wide open now. Someday it will be closed forever. Don't delay! Be prepared and ready! Behold He comes. May the Holy Spirit draw each of us into greater depths of intimacy with Jesus until the day our bridegroom returns.

Have you surrender your life to Jesus? If you haven’t done so, turn your life over to Him today. Receive the salvation that He died for. If you are willing to repent, then saw this right now: LORD Jesus, I come to You today. I know I am a sinner, please forgive me my sins. With my mouth, I declare that Jesus, from today, I accept You as the LORD of my life. Change my heart from a disobedient heart to a heart that will obey You. With my new heart, I believe that it is because of me that You came into this world; You died for my sins, take away my problems, fill me with Your Holy Spirit, write my name in the Book of Life, and make me brand new in Jesus mighty name.

LYRICS to HE WILL DO IT AGAIN by SHIRLEY CAESAR

You may be down and feel like God

Has somehow forgotten

That you are faced with circumstances

So hard to get thru

And right now it seems like there’s no way out

And you’re going under

God’s proven time and time again

He'll take care of you!

And He’ll do it again

He’ll do it again

If you’ll just take a look

At where you are now

And where you have been

hasn’t He always come through for you

He’s the same now as then

Don't you know God has not changed

You may not know how

You may not know when

But He’ll do it again

God knows the things you’re going through

And He knows how we’re hurting

You see he knows just how you’re heart

Has been broken in two

For He’s the God of the sun, and the stars and the seas

And He is your Father

He'll calm the storm

And He is the One, who will take care of you!

Oh He’s still God and He will not fail you

Oh yes He’s still God and He will not change

oh yes He's still God and He's fighting for you

oh Yes, just like Moses, just like Daniel,

Just like Shadrach and Meshach, Abednego

You may not know how

You may not know when

But He’ll do it again

Oh Yes, He's gonna do it again!
