God is whom He says He is and since we are His children, God will always be a Father to us all. God is a loving Father and God cares for us all in the midst of trouble, failure, sickness, pain, death , turmoil, disease, despair, mourning and all sorts of stress that comes our way God is still LOVE and LOVE is God.
Of course, we all go through unimaginable things in life that we just want to give up but when we take our eyes off this trials and focus on whom God is we can see that we have a faithful Father. And from one generation to another God as always been there.
The enemy wants us all to think that God does not love us but that's a lie. Why? God created us all in His own image and likeness in the book of Genesis 1:27 " So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Since, we are created in God's own image and likeness, the question now is.... Will our Father not love us? Care for us? and be a Father to us? well, looking at who God is I believe that a Father who has called us his children will always be there for his children that He loves so much and because of His love for us He sent his Only Begotten Son to come and die for us all in John 3: 16 and it records:
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
In the amplified version
For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.
When I was sick for years I actually believed that God hated me because i had been in that state for 30 years but one day Jesus Christ appeared to me and healed me instantly. I do not know why it took so long but He showed Himself up in my life and I was delivered from that condition. There are lots of example in the Word of God that proves that God is Love and wants us whole, let's look at some of His faithfulness in His Word.
John 5: 1 - 15
The man at the pool of Bethesda
After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralysed, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?
The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”
Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.
And that day was the Sabbath. The Jews therefore said to him who was cured, “It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed.”
He answered them, “He who made me well said to me, ‘Take up your bed and walk.’ ”
Then they asked him, “Who is the Man who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk’?” But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”
The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.
In this case Jesus showed up at the right time and healed a man that had been paralysed for 38 years and that is the faithfulness of God. If we can trust Him to help us He is always ready to do so. God will not turn His back on His children that He loves unconditionally. This is the saving grace of God.
Daniel 6
Daniel in the lion's den
It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom one hundred and twenty satraps, to be over the whole kingdom; and over these, three governors, of whom Daniel was one, that the satraps might give account to them, so that the king would suffer no loss. Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm. So the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him. Then these men said, “We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.”
So these governors and satraps thronged before the king, and said thus to him: “King Darius, live forever! All the governors of the kingdom, the administrators and satraps, the counselors and advisors, have consulted together to establish a royal statute and to make a firm decree, that whoever petitions any god or man for thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions. Now, O king, establish the decree and sign the writing, so that it cannot be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which [a]does not alter.” Therefore King Darius signed the written decree.
Daniel in the Lions’ Den
Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.
Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God. And they went before the king, and spoke concerning the king’s decree: “Have you not signed a decree that every man who petitions any god or man within thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?”
The king answered and said, “The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which does not alter.”
So they answered and said before the king, “That Daniel, who is one of the captives from Judah, does not show due regard for you, O king, or for the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.”
And the king, when he heard these words, was greatly displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him; and he labored till the going down of the sun to deliver him. Then these men approached the king, and said to the king, “Know, O king, that it is the law of the Medes and Persians that no decree or statute which the king establishes may be changed.”
So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.” Then a stone was brought and laid on the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the signets of his lords, that the purpose concerning Daniel might not be changed.
Daniel Saved from the Lions
Now the king went to his palace and spent the night fasting; and no musicians were brought before him. Also his sleep went from him. Then the king arose very early in the morning and went in haste to the den of lions. And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?”
Then Daniel said to the king, “O king, live forever! My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.”
Now the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God.
Darius Honors God
And the king gave the command, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions—them, their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them, and broke all their bones in pieces before they ever came to the bottom of the den.
Then King Darius wrote:
To all peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth:
Peace be multiplied to you.
I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel.
For He is the living God,
And steadfast forever;
His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed,
And His dominion shall endure to the end.
He delivers and rescues,
And He works signs and wonders
In heaven and on earth,
Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
Why I am using this example in the old testament? The Holy Spirit is proving to us that in the most difficult situation He is there with us if we can put our trust in Him, looking at this we can see that Daniel could not put his hope in man but only in God to save him and truly God came on the scene and delivered his son from the most dangerous situation and what happened at the end of this? the king made a decree that no one in the land should worship any other god but God alone. And this is who God says He is. We need to trust Him when we are not able to do anything else. god loves us all and all He wants is for us to trust Him and like He came on the scene in Daniel's life, He will come on the scene of our lives to His glory.
We are not denying the fact that so many ugly things happen but let's hold on to the truth of who God is and put our trust in Him always. Life is full of unbearable circumstances because we live in a fallen world but in this world we can enjoy heaven here on earth by looking unto Jesus as the author and finisher of our faith has recorded in the book of Hebrew 12: 1 - 2
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work].
Jesus Himself who died for us all went through worse situation and we are been encouraged to look to Him and not to be distracted by what is happening around us. Satan brings us to a place of taking our eyes of Jesus and the reason he does this is to make sure that we do not make heaven and this is his ultimate goal and we all know that heaven is real.
There is a scripture that says this:
This is a faithful and trustworthy saying:
If we died with Him, we will also live with Him;
If we endure, we will also reign with Him;
If we deny Him, He will also deny us;
If we are faithless, He remains faithful [true to His word and His righteous character], for He cannot deny Himself.
My prayer is that in any situation we find ourselves in, that we do not deny that He is God and that He is who He says He says. There will always be things that Satan will throw at us but let's remain faithful to God by trusting Him at all times, like Solomon said in this bible verse:
Ecclesiastes 1:9
That which has been is what will be,
That which is done is what will be done,
And there is nothing new under the sun.
In our lifetime we are to stand strong in the different storms of life that come against us and in the midst of those storms remember that it as happened before and the same God that helped us in that time is the same God that will help us again and again as we put our trust in Him.
Mark 4: 35 - 41
Jesus Calms the storm
That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”
He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!
On this day Jesus was the one who said to his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side." and they all were in the boat and Jesus was sleeping in the stern on a cushion! and what happened immediately was that there was a storm and everyone was terrified but not Jesus the creator of the universe including the sea! and He was woken up by the disciples who had seen Jesus performing wonders and Jesus did what He alone can do by rebuking the wind and everything was calm.
This is the faithfulness of God in our lives as well when we put our trust in him, Definitely in this realm so many storms will come but let's call on him on that day and he will help us by silencing every storm that comes our way.
Nobody is immune to the storms of life but we have someone that we can rely on to help us out of the troubles or circumstances we find ourselves in. He said He is the Almighty God and is saying to us that is there anything to hard for Him to do in the book of Jeremiah 32:27 for He is the God of all flesh! And
In Numbers 23:19
God says
God is not a man, that He should lie,
Nor a son of man, that He should repent.
Has He said, and will He not do it?
Or has He spoken and will He not make it good and fulfil it?
God is who He says He is and what he as said to us in His WORD is what He means.
God said this to us in Matthew 6: 25 - 34
Do not worry
Therefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted) about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow [seed] nor reap [the harvest] nor gather [the crops] into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by worrying can add one [l]hour to [the length of] his life? And why are you worried about clothes? See how the lilies and wildflowers of the field grow; they do not labor nor do they spin [wool to make clothing], yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory and splendor dressed himself like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive and green today and tomorrow is [cut and] thrown [as fuel] into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! Therefore do not worry or be anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted), saying, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’ For the [pagan] Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; [but do not worry,] for your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.
So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Let's choose not to worry about today because there is enough trouble for each day of our lives. But instead we seek God's purpose here on earth for our lives and follow it. It's all about God's kingdom where He abides and reigns.
By choosing to worry instead of trusting in God let us give our cares to Him according to
Matthew 11: 28 - 29
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light.”
Jesus is saying come to me and I promise to help you to overcome these situation that you are in , only put your trust in Me as your Saviour and the rest and peace that is yours through My Crucifixion will be given to you.
Jesus said in John 16: 25 - 33
Jesus Christ Has Overcome the World
These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; but the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but I will tell you plainly about the Father. In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God. I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.”
His disciples said to Him, “See, now You are speaking plainly, and using no figure of speech! 30 Now we are sure that You know all things, and have no need that anyone should question You. By this we believe that You came forth from God.”
Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
We are not to forget that we are the temple of the living God according to:
1 Corinthians 3:16
Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
