Everybody is looking for a miracle; everybody is looking for a way out. Everybody is dealing with some kind of issue, problem, catastrophe, disaster, and misfortune.
We are living in a time when diseases are running rampage, outbreaks seems to be normal, and everyone seems to have a dilemma, and it seems as though people have looked for every cure except for Jesus. But can I tell you that Jesus is still performing miracles. Can I tell you that the Lord is still making a way out of no-way? And can I tell you that he is still the author and finishers of our faith? I don’t know about you but I’m still looking for, expecting and receiving the miracles that God has for me.
When we examine the text, the text provides information to us about the Prophet. The Prophet here is a representational of The Word, the Work and Supremacy of God. Now when we inspect and scrutinize this text we notice how Elisha’s visits a place called Shunem, as he visits the place called Shunem his speaking to the people in comparable to the Word of God, trying to enter their hearts. What we must realize is that the day you receive his Word and hear the Word of God is the most important day of our life, it is a life changer, and a game changer.
Why Spies? Well because everything that you need is rap up, tie up and tangled up in the Word. Your restoration, your renewal, your peace, and your purpose all falls subject to the Word of God. I mean everything that you need is in the Word. If you need love and happiness it’s in the Word. If you need companionship it’s in the Word of God. If you are lonely your void can be fulfilled by the Word of God. And if you don’t have his Word on the inside of you, then you are missing out on the significant blessing that God has for bestowed up for you. In fact you haven’t started living, until the Word of God has been embedded into your hearts. I know and believe that the Word is all that I need.
Now I understand John 14:1 better when he says: “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me”. Because when I believe in the Lord Jesus I really don’t have to worry about anything. I don’t have to worry about coronavirus, I don’t have to worry about high blood pressure, because I now know that Matthew 19:26 holds truth when it says: But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, with men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
We may not know what you’re going, but I have the answer key to all of your problems, come here Isaiah. In Isaiah 41:10 he says Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Can you see the miracle on the way through the Word of God? I need somebody to say, My Miracle Is On The Way. This is personal for somebody, because someone under the sound of my voice needs a miracle. Not tomorrow, not next weekend or next month but they need a miracle right now.
Watch how the Word of God works. When looking at this passage we see that Elisha passed through to Shunem where the bible says there was a Great Woman.
Now remember that Elisha represents the Presence of God, and the Power of God, so consequently every good thing that you receive comes from God. My Miracle Is On The Way
The bible says in Shunem there was a great woman. One of the things that made this woman great, was that she made a place for the Prophet, in other words she said, Su Casa Mikasa, my house is your house. She made a place for The Word, to live, in her house. And whenever you bring the Word into your house you bring something that is more precious than gold. When you bring the Word into your house you bring a peace into your house that will surpass all understanding.
Now it was said that this woman had a reputation of being kind, generous and hospitable, but what really made her great, was, her insight, her spiritual perception, her ability to discern that God was at work. She could see what was in the man of God and she brought him into her house.
Now there’s no telling how many other houses Elisha passed by, that failed, to recognize, the Anointing on his life.
I’m quite sure that He passed by many houses, where no doubt there were great needs present, but they received no miracle, because they did not perceive God in the Prophet. And can I tell you that there are many who will miss their blessings because they don’t receive the man of God, sent by God because their perception is off.
One of the greatest gifts you have as a child of God is Perception. I’m sure many people saw Elisha pass by their houses and maybe even said hello to him, but Perception is more than Sight, It’s the ability to see deeper, to see beyond the surface, to grasp, with the understanding, and to see with the Heart not the Head.
Because with the right perception you can see phony long before it gets to you. With perception you can tell when a lie is on the horizon. With perception you can tell when people don’t like you. With perception you can recognize your haters because perception will give you, insight, to what your normally eyesight would miss.
So tell your neighbor: I don’t mean to be rude but I’m close to something big, and I don’t want to miss it. I Can See It, I Can See It, and I Can See that My Miracle Heading My Way.
I know in my spirit that I’m on the verge of a Breakthrough, I know by the Spirit, that I’m on the edge of a Miracle, I’m standing on the Brink of a Revelation that’s going to Revolutionize my life, and I don’t want to miss it.
What I’m saying is: I’ve missed it before, the miracle passed by my house and I never even recognized it, the Glory came by me, but I was too carnal to see it, the Power of God was right in front of me, but I was too focused on my Problems, my foolishness, and my pride to Recognize the Power.
Tell Somebody: I missed it the last time, but now, I Can See It, My Miracle Is On The Way
What do you mean preacher? The last time the Man of God Prophesied, I missed the Revelation, the Last Time the Glory of God came by, I missed it, the Last Time, the Power of God was present, I missed it, I missed my Breakthrough, the waters were moving but I wasn’t looking and I missed it. But That was Then, and This is Now. I made up my mind, The Last Time, was the last Time.
I’m not going to miss it again, I’m Watching Now, I’m Listening Now, I’m Preparing Now, and I’m going to do whatever I’ve got to do to get my Miracle, This Time.
If I have to fast, I’ll have to fast
If I have to pray, I’ll have to pray
If I have to dance in the aisle, roll in the floor, shout my hair down, cry my make-up off. But by the Help and Grace of God, the Last Time was the Last Time.
I’m not going to miss it again. Because I Can See It, My Miracle Is On The Way
No doubt, many people in Shunem, missed their miracle for one reason, PRIDE. Many of them were too proud to admit that they needed anything from God.
I don’t know about you but I’m like the Widow who was losing her sons to pay off a debt. She put her Pride Aside and came running to the man of God and presented her case. The end result was, she got out of debt and had money to support herself and two kids for the rest of her life. Tell somebody I Can See It, My Miracle Is On The Way
Some of us have Missed our Miracle, and our Breakthrough, just because we were too Proud.
Your Pride cheated you out of your Blessing, because it didn’t come on our terms, so you’re ready to throw a fit, get mad at God, get mad at the Preacher, mad at your neighbor, mad at the mailman, mad at the cable man just because God didn’t do it your way. Just like Naaman: He went to the man of God house, and instead of the man of God meeting him, he sends out his servant, and tells Naaman to go jump in a lake. Go dip, (7) seven times, in the Jordan river.
But the bible says in: II Ki 5:11 But Naaman was wroth, (interpretation, he was upset, ticked off, he was mad) and he went away, and said, at least I thought He would come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over me, and heal me. Naamans Pride almost cost him his Miracle. He already had it figured out, how he wanted his blessing, he already had it figured out, how far he would go to get his Breakthrough.
And when God didn’t come to his terms, he was angry Naaman said: I’m not going down there and dip (7) seven times, in that puddle of mud. Pride almost cost him his Deliverance and his Miracle. Tell your neighbor: Pride will Cost You.
The woman said, Now, I perceive, that this is a Holy man of God that passes by our house continually. Over and over and over. The revelation that I got from him passing by over and over again is that God is a God of another chance. He knows that we didn’t get it right the first, second and even the third time but he gave us another chance. Somebody shout Hallelujah for another chance.
We don’t know how many times he may have passed their way before she saw with the eyes of her spirit. But there are many times we miss miracles, we miss the anointing, and we miss the Revelations and Visitations, because our spiritual eyes are closed.
Some women don’t know that they got a good man until Anika gets him. He brought you flowers, took you to dinner, took you to a movie, he even took you down to the square and walked you around the fountain trying to hold your hand and you said yeah we had fun but he’s just to nice. Isn’t that what you ask God for?
Some men don’t know that they have a good woman until they see her riding around in the car with Tyrone. She use to cook and clean for you, she sits up and watch the game with you and your talking about, yeah but she just to clinging. But isn’t that what you ask God for, for someone that was just for you.
Tell somebody: Don’t miss this, he’s talking to you, don’t miss your blessing.
So as we look at this text the bible teaches us right after Elisha had just finish helping the widow woman whose husband had die and he blessed her with what was in her house, right in the next verse the bible says, And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where there was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so as he passed by, he turned in to eat bread, and one day this woman looked at her husband and said: Now, I perceive, the eyes of my spirit are open. She said now I perceive that this man is a Holy man Now, I see something that was Already There,
But I can hear somebody say Pastor I didn’t know it, I didn’t recognize it. But you’ve got to know what’s right in front of you. I said that you’ve got to know what’s right in front of you:
The first story in this chapter he ask the woman what do you have in your house lady, and she said just a little pot of oil, and I believe the man of God said That’s all you need, the Miracle was already there.
I can hear God ask Moses what’s in your Hand Moses. It’s just a Rod… but I can hear God say that’s enough, just stretch it out, and I’ll divide the Red Sea, and then use that same rod to smite the rock and I’ll bring water out of it.
What’s in your hand David? It’s just a Slingshot. Let me help
you with it, and we’ll kill every Goliath that raises up his Head.
What’s in your hand Samson? It’s just the Jawbone of a Donkey, well, let me help you with it, and we’ll kill a 1000 Philistines. What’s in your hand Church. What’s in Your House, Use It, Use It, Use It, use what you’ve got.
In between the passing of the prophet, this woman got a Revelation, she Recognized the Anointing of God in Elisha’s life. And basically she said to her husband, Next Time I’ll be ready, Next Time I’ll be Watching, Next Time I’ll be Listening, next time, I’m going to be looking, with the Eyes of my spirit. Next time he passes by, I’m going to Reach Out and get a Hold of him.
I can hear this woman say: I missed it the last time, but, the Last Time, was the Last Time. Say that….
Today is My Day, and I refuse to let him pass me by another time, this time, I’m going to Make Room for Him.
I’m going to Clear the Clutter Out of my Life, and Create an Environment for the Word of God, the Anointing, and a Place where He will be Comfortable. Tell somebody, excuse all the Commotion neighbor, but I’ve got to Make Some Room, I’ve got to Move somethings around, because I’ve got to make
room for my miracle.
There’s some Movies I’ve got to throw out, some Music I’ve got to get rid of , and there’s some Friends I’ve got to cut loose, that’s holding me back.
This woman was great because her spiritual eyes were opened and she recognized the Authority of the Word. The Word of God and the Presence of the Anointing, and because she honored the man of God she received a miracle even though her husband was old and she was impregnated.
And I just stop by here this morning to tell New “G” and everybody that is listening to me that your miracle is on the way.
Because you are an Heir of God and Joint Heir with Jesus
You are a Child of the Living God
You are the Righteousness of God in Christ
You are the Redeemed of the Lord
You are a New Creature
You are the Head and Not the Tail, the Lender and Not the Borrower
Above Only and Not Beneath
You are the Apple of His Eye
You’re the Salt of the Earth & the Light of the World
You are Saved, Sanctified and Justified,
You are a Partaker of His Divine Nature
You are the Healed of the Lord
You are an Over Comer
You are more than a Conqueror through Christ Jesus.
