Philippians 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
Philippians 4:2 I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.
Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
John 17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
Is it not odd that God made one temple for a whole nation and we have eighty churches in town. I am listening to a message from Todd White and he speaks to the division we see. He calls them "wound-licking hurt clubs" because we want our thing not their thing.
It is time to stop building our little kingdoms be they in house churches or mega-mansions. Anything that divides the Body is heresy and anything that wastes God's resources on mansions that will burn is poor stewardship at best and idolatry at worst. A large building may be needed to accommodate the size of the congregation, but it does not need to be ornate or lavish.
It is fine to have cell/small/connection groups, but an united Body is in one place. We blew His Body up with fingers and toes all over the place and the Father's heart is grieved. The Spirit is grieved, resisted and quenched by our selfishness and worshipping ourselves more than God. Jesus prayed that we would be one as He and the Father are one. That prayer has not been answered in 2000 years. It is time for us to be submissive to that prayer.
People are going to Hell and we cannot reach them divided. Indeed, we help them justify their unbelief by our lack of love and unity. They will know we are Christians by our love, not our buildings.
Maybe the problem is that their are too many unsaved people in churches that are tareing up the place. The church needs revival and "saints" saved so we can be used of Christ to save others. Too many wolves in pulpits and goats in pews in these last days. May they be born again and become true shepherds and sheep.
Instead of helping people got to Hell, let's say to Hell with division as that is where it come. Let's say to Hell with splitting over music, rug colors, pews or chairs, screens or hymnals, suits or casual, personal agendas and power struggles. That is all manure! To Hell with all of that. Send that stuff back to the sender! Mature people can deal with not everything being their way because they are focused on the Kingdom, not themselves.
Let's stop the madness with fads and foolishness. It is time to unite for the fight. Satan has divided us because He cannot divide the Trinity so he sidelines most of us. Churches lacks the gifts they need because the hand they need is down the road and the feet that body needs are in your church. Unite and get the gifts to work in a whole Body not a splattered one.
