Philippians 4:19: "But my God shall supply all your need, according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
How and why does God supply our need, it is because His a Provider, that is His nature, that is His character.
Provider-God Not Only Provided Clothing, But Also Implemented That A Blood Sacrifice Would Be The Payment For Sin.
Because Adam and Eve had sinned and had eaten from the Tree of knowledge.
They realize that they were naked and when God came into the garden they hid themselves
Animals had to die so that they could be clothed, this is where I believe the blood sacrifice started.
Something has to die to pay for the penalty of sin.
Remember they had sewn fig leaves together to cover themselves but that was a temporary fix
Genesis 3:21-Also for Adam and his wife the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them. (NKJV)
Genesis 3:21-And the LORD God made clothing from animal skins for Adam and his wife.(NLT)
God Provides A Ram, Instead Of Abraham Sacrificing Isaac.
Genesis 22:6-So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went together.
7-But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” Then he said, “Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?”
8-And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together.
13-Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.
14-And Abraham called the name of the place,The-LORD-Will-Provide;fn as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the LORD it shall be provided.”
God Provides The Path And Circumstances To Have Joseph In The Place And Position To Not Only Feed His Family, But Be A Blessing To Egypt And Other Countries.
Genesis 50:19-And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?
20-But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
God Provides Protection From The Firstborn Dying.
Exodus 12:11‘And thus you shall eat it: with a belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. So you shall eat it in haste. It is the LORD’s Passover.
12-‘For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.
13-‘Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.
God Provides A Pillar Cloud By Day And A Pillar Of Fire By Night.
Exodus 13:21-And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lad the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night.
God Parts The Sea
Exodus 14:13-And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.
14-“The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
15-And the LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.
16-“But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
God Provides Mana
Exodus 16:3-And the children of Israel said to them, “Oh, that we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and when we ate bread to the full! For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”
4-Then the LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not.
5-“And it shall be on the sixth day that they shall prepare what they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.”
God Provides The Ultimate Sacrifice
John 3:16-For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Is there anything in your life, you don’t think God can provide for?
When you come before God asking for something, asking for a need to be meet, please remember, who you are talking to. The Provider!
