I don’t know what it says about me , when people attack or criticize I love proving them wrong ,
Not by anything I say, but by what I do and what I accomplish
The best part of proving people wrong, on any level
Is that all those Nay sayers who didn’t believe, in you finally have to admit one thing , they underestimated you
There was never any doubt in your mind you knew what you could do if you set your mind to it .
In reality I relish those people because it lights a fire in me and motivates me .
Growing up on the wrong side of the tracks , sometimes it seemed like my motivation is all I have .
Don’t ever stop believing , don’t stop believing in yourself , don’t stop believing God loves you .
Because this motivation is the Spirit of God, because when the whole world says she should just give up and quit , this force inside becomes so and ignites a fire deeper and hotter than ever before
Jesus gives us a great example of this when He was done talking to the woman at the well
John4:27At this point His disciples came, and they were amazed that He had been speaking with a woman, yet no one said, “What do You seek?” or, “Why do You speak with her?” 28So the woman left her waterpot, and went into the city and said to the men, 29“Come, see a man who told me all the things that I have done; this is not the Christ, is it?” 30They went out of the city, and were coming to Him.
31Meanwhile the disciples were urging Him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.” 32But He said to them, “I have food to eat that you do not know about.”
Brothers and sisters when you only focus only on feeding the physical, you are neglecting the Spirit and the force of God inside you and then when you need it you have to scramble to find the power again .
The trick is to be in balance Spiritually and physically
The disciples must have looked at Jesus and said what’s keeping Him going,
But what they didn’t realize is that while they went to town looking for food for the physical
Jesus was sitting at the supper table filling His soul feeding His fire
John 4:34Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work.
You know when there is a big wedding or event and in the mail before the invitation a card comes a card that says save the date.
It’s serves as a wedding announcement and notice of an invitation
Then the invitation arrives and you can tell this is not going to be just an ordinary event .
As you open the invitation it looks more like a small book , page after page announcing the wedding , layers and layers separated by rice paper
And included in the invite there is a response card, or an RSVP
In that you select if you will attend and check off the number and what you would want for your dinner, chicken or beef .
Then you understand how important this is so you get ready for the day, and envision what a spectacular day it will be .
In the Bible, in the eternal is where that food is that no one knows about, the spiritual food is being served .
Revelation 19 :7“Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” 8It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
9Then he said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’” And he said to me, “These are true words of God.”
We savor the the marriage supper , we’ve been told to save the date, we received the invitation , we checked off that we intend to attend and we should be making all preparations to get ready because this is going to be the most extravagant wedding ever.
There is no difference in turning down your invitation to the marriage supper of the lamb and turning down your own salvation
To understand the how big a deal this is we must understand that the Bible is full of all the details in the invitation
And know the wedding customs of that time .
First there is contract between parents; a guarantee a dowry has be paid by the Father of the groom to the Father of the bride.
This is begins the betrothal or engagement period.
This is important because this betrothal time, begins the custom and its is when we first catch up with when Mary was with Joseph
Meaning that the guarantee has already been paid , that God had already pledged His Son would shed His blood for the Bride the church.
The second phase comes be about a year later ,
This is the parade of torches , this is when the bridegroom and His grooms men at midnight would make a torch filled parade traveling to the brides house .
The bride know s the groom is coming , but has no idea when, she has to be ready at all times because once he arrives the bride and all the brides maids are sweped away and are taken back to the Grooms fathers house.
This is the inspiration to the parable of the 10 virgins
Matthew 25:1“Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2“Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent. 3“For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, 4but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps. 5“Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep. 6“But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ 7“Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. 8“The foolish said to the prudent, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9“But the prudent answered, ‘No, there will not be enough for us and you too; go instead to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.’ 10“And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut. 11“Later the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open up for us.’ 12“But he answered, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13“Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour
Finishing it all off is the marriage feast , which go on for days , like the wedding at Cana , where they ran out of wine and Mary told Jesus to fix the problem remember what Jesus said
4And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does that have to do with us? My hour has not yet come.”
This is Jesus save the date card
These stages of the relationship speak to every believer .
First don’t ever stop believing in yourself; God paid a high price and dowry for you and has counted you worthy and He’s not about to abandon you
Second a save the date and an invitation and with destiny and that wont change
Third get yourself ready be ready because you know He is coming for His bride
The word say He will come like a thief in the night , at a dark time , we are in those days now any day now .
