I. The Posture of Faith - Trust God
A. The importance of Scriptural Context while studying the Word

5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

II. The Posture of Faith - Be at Peace
Philippians 4:6-7
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
A. Be anxious for nothing…
1. Weapons against fear!
a) Prayer will greatly assist you in overcoming fear. - James 5:16 says, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

b) Worship breaks the power of Satan’s hold - Acts 16:25-26 "At midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's shackles were loosened”

c) The Word of God - Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

B. God is:
1. Provider - Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
2. Healer - Psalms 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
3. Banner (Protector) - Song of Solomon 2:4 - “…and His banner over me is love.”
a) A banner is a royal standard and a symbol of identity
