Authors of a books shape and tell you a story, they include all kinds of information
What is the situation?
Who is the opponent?
What is the conflict?
Who is the hero?
Our Bibles are no different
Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
The situation is that we are all dead in our sin
The opponent is the devil
The conflict is the world
But what makes this book different is that some of the readers are in it because this book is the book of life
Daniel 12:1And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book
The situation is so extreme , and the victims are bound and trapped in sin and the ransom is so high that the only way for them to be freed the hero must die .
And from the cross He cries out to God the Father
Luke 23:34 But Jesus was saying, "Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing." And they cast lots, dividing up His garments among themselves.
Forgive those who lied , forgive for those who falsely accused , forgive those hypocrites and all the sinners
Because it is in forgiveness where the power of Gospel is because it is for the forgiveness of sins that He shed His blood
Hebrews 9:22 And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
Forgiveness is the most powerful way of releasing supernatural, releasing you from the power of sin
My greatest discouragement and my greatest fear daily is that there are so many people that I won’t be able to reach . Not the unbelievers or rejecters because they have already openly decided their fate .
But Christians who think because they said a prayer, or come to church and even serve God but think they are saved
But because they still harbor vengeance in their hearts will miss the rapture and yet still face the gates of hell.
My heart sinks and dread overwhelms me because I know that there are so many that if they really know what awaits them they would turn .
There is no clearer example of the torment that awaits them than Lazarus and the rich man
Luke 16:23And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
Because what we don’t recognize is that the power of the Gospel is the power of God , that the power of the Gospel is forgiveness but that the absence of forgiveness is sin
Matthew 6;14“For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15“But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions
The cause and effect of an unforgiving heart , a heart that hasn’t been changed is pride .
Now watch out because this pride is in complete opposition with God.
Have you ever met a chronic liar, these people tell so many lies that they start believing their own lies.
Speaking with an officers lately he told me Mike if you want to beat the polygraph you have to believe your own lies .
Pride is the king of lies, lying to self , believing that lie but then living it .
The reason that pride is the enemy of God because Lies come from the father of lies
43“Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot hear My word. 44“You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
Everything out of his mouth every word , ever syllable is a lie, he can’t help himself .
Satan believed his own lie, there is no greater example
Isaiah 14:14 'I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.'
Ironic how all this works, when you don’t forgive and take matters you’re your own hands you end up playing God and you are found trying to be like the Most High
Deuteronomy 32:35
Vengeance is Mine; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; for their day of disaster is near, and their doom is coming quickly.
So we have this assurance that God will deal out His vengeance against those who have wronged us , then why would you ever still hold a grudge why even get involved .
Fear
Fear is a great motivator, fear that they will somehow get away with it, fear that they won’t be punished ,
But this then condemns you because then you fear translates that God is not a just God .
And by accident this has made you unfaithful , on full display that all the angles and heavenly beings that you do not trust God .
Because of the lack of forgiveness
From the root of pride
Fueled by the lies of the devil
Responding in fear they have lost all trust and have sunken to the level of coward .
Revelation 21:7“He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son. 8“But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
Those who once thought that the shekels of sin and death were broken now feel the grip on them tighten against such there is no rescue .
Noah wasn’t saved because of his work on the arch, he was saved because of his obedience to God
There are really only two religions out there today, the religion of works that says do this, don’t do that
And then there is gospel of Jesus Christ that says It is finished,
All of your sin have been paid you are for forgiven .
Isn’t about time you put your faith and trust in Christ and let him be Lord of Lords , King of Kings and stop listening to all the lies and chatter
Let God take care of the vengeance and you have a forgiving heart
There is a book out that titled “your best life now” , There is another book that says you best life is just ahead , that’s the book I want to read .
What a glorious day it will be to stand there with my Lord and see my name written in the Lambs Book of life!
