Do You Get It?
Luke 24: 1 - 12
Intro: I have always been told that you can hear the sound of the ocean by holding a conch shell up to your ear. You either believe it or you don’t.
I Regarding the resurrection, the same thing is true: You either believe it or you don’t.
A READ VSS. 1 - 6
B This is not exactly what the women were expecting. They were anticipating doing the last, loving thing they could do for a friend.
C Even though the women knew Jesus had raised Lazarus from the dead, it was not what they expected.

A In 1899 Charles Duel, the Commissioner of the U.S. Office of Patents said, “everything that can be invented has already been invented.” In 1943, Thomas Watson, the chairman of IBM said, “I think there is a world market for maybe 5 computers.
B The Greek word used here is a medical term used to describe the babbling of a fevered and insane mind.

Concl: Sadly, on this Easter Sunday, there are still people who just don’t get it. Some know the name of Jesus only as a curse word. Some don’t get it because they refuse to believe a man who lived, died and rose from the dead 2000 years ago can have an impact on lives today. They just don’t get it! Do you? If you get it, you know that Christ Jesus can only be found today among living believers.
