Our main scripture this morning Is going to be in 1 John chapter 3…… verse 2…….
So if ya wanna turn there while we’re getting started that would be great……
We’re also gonna be jumpin around to a lot of different scriptures This morning….
And I may or… may not give ya time to get to each one……..
And So if yah can yah might wanna write’em down and check them all out later…….
but this one here… this one…. Is gonna be the key to our message this morning…..
So lets go ahead and get started…….
1 John 3:2 (NKJV)
2 Beloved………
now we are children of God……
and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be……
but we know…… that when He is revealed……
we…… shall be like Him…… for we shall see Him…. as He is…
Thats gonna be a glorious day isn’t it……
When we finally get to see our Lord for ….. WHO… he really is…….
Yeah know…. A lot of people …. think…. that they might know who GOD is….
they might think they might know….. what GOD is like…….
But in reality… they have only seen a fleeting glimpse …. of who GOD really is…..
It says in John 1:18 (NKJV)
18 No one has seen God at any time.
The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father,
He has declared Him.
The scripture plainly states that Jesus… is the only Man… that has ever walked on this earth……
And…. has seen GOD… personally….. He is the only one… that truly knows… WHO God is…..
And he has shared with us… through scripture….. WHO he is…….
We only have to open our bibles… and scan the words inside…. to find out WHO God is…..
It shares with us… what he looks like….. and what we should expect from him…… And what he expects from us…..
But as we put on our sleuth hats…… and open our bibles to find out… just who this… GOD is…..
we can read a lot of words that tell us…. Who GOD is….….
Sadly the world…. and our culture that we live in…. has watered these words down …..
so that they no longer mean the same thing they meant when they were written………
Yah know… its pretty sad when words that are supposed to have a … very strong spiritual meaning….
These words are supposed to speak to our very souls………
But they have become instead….. just another slang word that we use in our everyday lives…..…..
And one of those words… that we’re gonna be looking at today…… Is the word Holy……..
And this is probably the best word that fully describes …. WHO God is…..
But if we take that word…. and combine it with what the world wants us to think it means…..
It becomes completely useless…….. and it doesn’t really help us to understand God at all……
When we take the word Holy……. and use it to describe things that really aren’t holy………
Words like
“holy cow,”
“holy smoke,”
“holy mackerel,”
“holy Toledo,”
and……..we’ve all heard this… right…… “holy roller.” …….
Yah know………
I’m sure there are reasons why these terms came about………
but I can’t imagine what……. “holy” …..actually had to do with any of them….…..
All I know is that when an important spiritual word like …….“holy”…… becomes a slang term we hear almost every day….…….
People stop wondering what it really means…..
And it just becomes an everyday expression……
And as those words are used improperly … every day………..
Even Christians…. that should know better…… begin to lose touch with what the word HOLY….. actually means…
And in turn …. we begin to view God as this lenient grandfather type figure….….
who sits back … and winks at their little sins and indiscretions from his great big rocking chair in heaven……
And Im here to tell you…
thats a really bad way to think about a Holy GOD……
The proof of that statement is in the fact that if you look around you right now…..
Ill bet each and every one of us here know’s some… so called christian in their life…..…. that aren’t where they should be…..
Because they don’t realize …. what serving…… A HOLY GOD……. is really all about..….
If we were to take a look at the… history of our church’s…..
we would see that… every single major revival that has ever taken place……
Was sparked…. and fueled by the concept….. of the holiness of God…..
Great church leaders back then….. knew that to keep the holiness of God at the center of their ministries was literally the KEY….. to making revival break out….
And The term … HOLY…. has been so watered down ….. that people just don’t care anymore……
They have taken one of the key attributes of GOD….. and turned it into nothing more than just a slang word we use when we’re surprised or upset…..
And So….. during this study that we have just begun on…..
knowing the God that you worship……..
We’re gonna have to reformulate our minds just a little bit…..
to understanding what some of Gods key attributes really mean…. What he’s really all about…..
I mean what did these words mean to people when they wrote them down….…..
Now We begin this week focusing on….. the holiness of God….
because it is…… the core……… of who God is….
Another words…. being HOLY…… is what makes God….. God….
Just like the sun… is at the very center of our universe…….
Being HOLY…. is at the very center… of who he is……
God's holiness is His defining characteristic…..
The holiness of God is a term used in the Bible to describe both His goodness and His power…
It is completely unique… To GOD…. not a cow…..……..
and its meaning is extremely all-powerful…..
radiating out from God like an energy that can’t be fully explained……
.
In fact, God's holiness is so overwhelming, that it can actually be dangerous when we approach it……
And since we can’t really with our small minds understand what Gods holiness is…..
Sometimes its good to kinda put an analogy together ….so we can get a better understanding…….
Like I did just a minute ago…..…
I compared Gods holiness…. to the sun…….
See….
The sun is so bright and powerful that its energy radiates out through our solar system…. right……
It's a good, helpful thing to be within that sun's energy…..
BUT the sun itself…. is so powerful… that it's dangerous if we get too close…
God is actually called “holy” in Scripture more than anything else…..
It is the shear beauty of His holiness…. that captures us when we really see him….. as He is…..
The holiness of God….. according to Scripture……. IS….. His beauty…..
And Nearly every book of the Bible touches on the….. holiness of God….. in some way…. shape… or form….
Im going to scan through just a few places real fast…
You aint gonna have time to turn to them…. So just bare with me…….
I Just wanna … kinda show you what i mean…… Ok….
Exodus 15:11 says…….
11 “Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods?
Who is like You, glorious in holiness,
Fearful in praises, doing wonders?
This first verse says…..
Who can be like you GOD……
You are the master of all…and the brightest of all brightness……
No Gods can ever be as bright as you………
But then in this next verse it actually says…….
WE can be like him……….
Leviticus 19:2 says….
2 “Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them:
‘You shall be holy, for I…. the Lord your God…. am holy.
Thats a pretty powerful statement right there all by itself….
I mean….. We are to be… like him……. we are to be The stars… to his sun…..
As the sun shines its light into the universe….. and we as his children…. are to reflect that light…. into every dark corner……
We are to be HOLY…. just like he is….
BUT…. another one of those right……..
just a little further away from that statement………
He says in
1 Samuel 2:2…..
2 “No one is holy like the Lord,
For there is none besides You,
Nor is there any rock like our God.
And so he tells us to be…. LIKE him…. but we can’t….. BE him……
Just because we are a bright shining star….. doesn’t mean we are the sun…….
We are to reflect his light…. not pretend to be….. his light……
And thats the problem with some people…. they try to pretend that … they are his brightness…..
They forget they are just supposed to be a star reflecting his brightness…. and they begin to think they are their own little sun…….
That right there that was satins problem…. and thats what he tries to get us to do…….
He got tired of reflecting Gods beauty…. his Holiness…. and he said … you know what… I can be that…..
i can be holy… just like he is holy……. And so he forgot…. he’s NOT God………
And so….. in Psalm 22 verse 3…. he has to remind us…..……
3 But You are holy,
Enthroned in the praises of Israel.
He says…. GOD is the center….. he is the one on the throne…. not us………
we should worship… and bow down to him… not the other way around…..
We’re just the stars….. we are not our own little sun……….
And these are just a couple examples of scripture telling us about the ….. Holiness of God…….
So in order to … bring back….. the actual understanding of this……. holiness of God……. And what it really means……
we need to understand this very basic Biblical term…….
the word…… HOLY…..
Yeah know…… what………. what does it really mean…..
The root of the word Holy…. Should be described as………. complete purity…. and complete goodness……
Basically…… its the absence of anything dark….. sinful….. or evil ……
And with that definition………….. we instantly know… that we are NOT GOD…….
We can only… reflect his goodness… we can reflect… that purity……
but we can’t … create our own…………
1 John 1:5 says…….
5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you…..
that God…… is light… and in Him is no darkness at all.
You should be able to see….…
That through the sun… the moon .. the stars…. And the darkness of the universe around us…..
how everything that GOD created….. Is literally just a reflection of himself and the dangers that we face around us…???
But we also must understand that….. in reality there’s a lot more ta holiness…… than just the presence of purity and the absence of evil….
the word “Holy” also comes from a word that means….. “to cut apart” or “set apart.” ……
And so….. holiness also mean’s….
something that is separate ..not attached to.. or… different from…….
See…… God is like a …..foreign being….. compared to the sinful nature of this world…….
He is totally set apart… and different in His nature than we are….……
Just like a star… is not made up… of the same thing as the sun…. we … are not made up… of the same thing as GOD……
Yah know… people say… I just don’t understand this whole GOD thing…… Well guess what…..
We here on this earth will NEVER…. fully understand… GOD…..
Because GOD is totally different… than anything we could ever imagine……
He says… My thoughts are higher than your thoughts and my ways are higher than your ways…….
But we don’t have to fully understand him… in order to reflect him……..
Early in the twentieth century a German scholar named Rudolph Otto went around the world studying What the word … HOLY…
meant to different cultures…
Wherever he went, he discovered that people found it difficult…. to describe what “holy” meant…..
They could sense it….. and they knew it when they saw it….. or when they experienced it…. but they just couldn’t find words to describe what it was…..
The most common theme he heard was that…. rather than describing what holy meant ………
they ended up described their own “weakness…. and their own filthiness….”
They could sense their own lack of purity…….. their own smallness……
when they were in the presence of holy…..
And honestly……
That’s how it is when we are in the presence of our …..holy God…….
we end up knowing more about…… who we are…….. compared to Him…..
And when the holy spirit descends on this conjuration… there should’t be a dry eye in the house…
As we all realize how filthy we really are……. And we should be on our knees saying…
LORD FORGIVE ME………..
In the Bible we have the accounts of several people…. who found themselves in the ….presence…. of ….. A holy God….…….
They didn’t define…….. “holy,” ……… they couldn’t……..
But their responses gives us some clues…… as to what the term……. HOLY….. really means…..
So this morning I want us to take a look at just a couple of these experiences ok….……
First off we’re gonna take a look at Moses and his experiences with….. The Holy…..
Before the exodus from egypt…… Moses found himself on HOLY ground when he encountered the burning bush on Mount Horeb….
Exodus 3:1–6 (NKJV) Says…
3 Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian.
And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
2 And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush.
So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.
3 Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.”
4 So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said,
“Moses, Moses!”
And he said, “Here I am.”
5 Then He said,
“Do not draw near this place.
Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is …………..holy ground.”
6 Moreover He said, “I am the God of your father—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.”
And Moses hid his face, …….for he was afraid to look upon God.
Are you afraid to look upon GOD…. Do you realize this morning… who you are…. and who he is……
As we get closer to GOD….. we find out just how unworthy…. and dirty we really are……….
Yeah know… when you run into these people that think they are better than anyone else…..
I honestly don’t think they have ever actually had contact… with a HOLY GOD…. because if they had…
they would realize… they aren’t who they think they are….…..
Yeah see….
Absolutely no one is better than anyone else…… we are ALL… unworthy……….
And when we come face to face with GOD…. we instantly know that……..
And then Later on in his life …
Moses had another experience with the holiness of God that we sometimes forget..…..
After the Exodus, Moses was on this very same mountain receiving the Law from God when he made kind of an unusual request of God:
In Exodus chapter 33 verse 18 Moses said…..
“Please, show me Your glory”
Now You might think that Moses had seen plenty of Gods glory back in Egypt…..
the plagues….
the Passover…..
the crossing of the Red Sea……
but that wasn’t enough for him………..
Just like us puny weak minded humans down here on earth right……..
He wanted to see more……. he wanted to see God’s glory…….. he wanted to see … His face……
Now He didn’t get to see the face of God……. His full glory……. but God did gave him an experience………
An experience I don’t thin the ever forgot……..
He promised to pass by in front of Moses….. shielding Moses’ view with His hand…….
then remove His hand as He passed by so Moses could see His back….
Exodus 33:20–23 (NKJV)
20 But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.”
21 And the Lord said, “Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock.
22 So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by.
23 Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.”
Yeah see there….. It was a really good thing that Moses didn’t get to see the…. full glory of God….
Because if he would have ….. he would have died…..
As it was, when he came down off the mountain, the people were afraid of him….. because his face shone……
His face was aglow with the reflected glory of God……
Yeah see… Moses was a star……… but he wasn’t the sun………
He eventually had to cover his face with a veil…. because no one would even come near him.. because of the brightness he radiated………
Even a partial revelation of the glory of God….. transformed Moses and was …..immediately…. visible to everyone around him.
Yah know… people talk about encountering GOD……… but in reality…… you have only encountered about this much of him…
If that don’t freak yah out a little bit… nothin will…. As I said before…..
This world has so watered down the meaning of….. WHO GOD IS….….
that we don’t ….. REALLY… even know what encountering GOD means anymore..…..
When we have a … TRUE encounter with GOD…. other people can’t help but notice……
Our faces shine…. and our lives are transformed…..
Is that how your life is today?????
Because if it isn’t… you have encountered less of GOD… than you might think ……..
And then we have to look at Job….. and his experience with God’s Holiness……
After Job went through his own….. life-changing experience of suffering……
A suffering that none of us has ever even came close to……
He experienced a revelation of God…… that changed his life … forever……..
At the end of the book of Job….. we read his response to what he learned about God…..
In (Job 42:5–6) we read……
“I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear…..
And honestly….. thats where … MOST of us are today…. Right????…. we’ve heard about him…….
and then he says……
but now…… my eye sees you….
Therefore I ….. WHAT…….. I abhor myself….. and repent in dust and ashes”…… .
When people truly begin to … see GOD…. and his holiness….. they begin to ABOHOR…. themselves for who they really are….
Again… if you begin to think your better than anyone else….. You quickly realize….. Your not………
Earlier in chapter 40…. verse 4…. Job said……
“Behold, I am vile……. what shall I answer You…….. I lay my hand over my mouth” .….
When Job was in the presence of God’s Holiness…..
He found himself too…. unworthy….. to even speak in God’s presence…..
Seeing the holiness and power of God……. Shows us that…… those who see Him for who he is……
become speechless….. When they are actually confronted with him……
Do you ever feel speechless when you kneel down and pray ????
Don’t feel bad…. because you might actually be getting close to GOD when that happens….
Its OK to not know what to say when you approach GODS throne and you see first hand… his holiness….……..
Instead of feeling inadequate because you don’t know what to say…..
You should just sit there…. and glory in his presence…….
That could very well be one of those moments when GOD reaches down out of heaven…
and he wraps his arms around you just to say…. I love you…
everything’s going to be ok……..
And then we have Isaiah……….
His experience of the Holy…. was probably the most dramatic one of all………
Were gonna be in Isaiah chapter 6 here in just a minute if you wanna turn over there…
In an introduction as to what was happening here ……
God had called Isaiah to work for him…. in the same year that king Uzziah had died…..
He was a great king in Israel who had reigned for 52 years……
And he had served God faithfully …..right up until the end of his reign when…… in a moment of pride and arrogance…..
He began to …. forget…… the true holiness of GOD……
He began to think of himself…… as better than everyone else…..
Uzziah here was reflecting GOD perfectly… until that one day… he began to think of himself as a sun… instead of just a star……
He kicked all the priests out of the temple….. and He himself took over as not only King …. but priest as well…….
which of course… didn’t set to well with God…. Things like that normally don’t…… right???….
And so as a result of what he was doing…. He broke out in leprosy, which meant he had to be quarantined away from all the people……..
where he eventually died……
Which would be earth shattering to someone that thought they were everyone else’s sun………..
Who thought they were the center of everyone Else’s universe…….
When he died…… the whole nation mourned because he had been such a righteous king….. up until his final mistake at the end of his life…..
So …. Lets read here what happened to Isaiah In chapter 6 starting there with verse 1…….
1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple.
2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
3 And one cried to another and said:
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
The whole earth is full of His glory!”
4 And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 So I said:
“Woe is me, for I am undone!
Because I am a man of unclean lips,
And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips;
For my eyes have seen the King,
The Lord of hosts.”
6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar.
7 And he touched my mouth with it, and said:
“Behold, this has touched your lips;
Your iniquity is taken away,
And your sin purged.”
This all happened in a time when if you remember from scripture….
The people had to tie a rope around the priests leg right….……. because if he had any …. dirt on ‘him
Any… bad mojo about him when he entered the temple…
he would literally drop dead….
And the people would have to pull him out by the rope they had around his leg…..…..
What GOD is trying to show Isaiah here is that there is coming a time… when you will be able to enter the temple dirty….
and the holiness of GOD… pictured as the burning coal here…… will touch you while you are there… and you will walk out clean……
This is a picture of what was to come… in the body of Jesus Christ……
You no longer have to be clean before you come before GOD…… Jesus took care of that problem….
But Isaiah man…. He was scared to death when he entered that temple………..
Isaiah was a foul mouthed man…. he would cuss so bad… that he made sailors blush……
But GOD…. could still use him……..
He walked into the temple … foul mouthed and dirty… and walked out… a man GOD could use……
But during this vision…….
even the angels of the lord came in and they were covering themselves…..
crying out to one another…..
Holy Holy Holy… is the Lord God Almighty………..
God is so Holy … that the very angels couldn’t even look upon him without covering themselves….
But what I want to look at for a second here is the way they cried out….
Holy Holy Holy…….
In the Hebrew culture and in their language, the repetition of words was used for emphasis …. Right…
It’s like Jesus saying, “Verily, verily” when He wanted to emphasize what He was about to say next…….
But saying things 3 times on the other hand….. man that was rare,….. and it signified intense emphasis….
It was extremely important…….
Yah know…. We don’t find “loving, loving, loving”…… or “gracious, gracious, gracious” in the Bible…….
but we do find “holy, holy, holy”……….the only attribute of God……. repeated three times…… because of the shear importance of it……..
And Isaiah’s response was like everyone else’s………….
There in verse 5 it says……
“Woe is me, for I am undone!
Because I am a man of unclean lips,
And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips;
For my eyes have seen the King,
The Lord of hosts.”
Isaiah was saying here…. GOD…. I am not worthy of you….……..
The word …. “Undone” …..literally means “disintegrated.”…..
He lost all sense of his own worthiness…… in the presence of the holiness of God…..
When your spending time with GOD…. .do you find yourself … Unworthy???
I do…… I don’t deserve Gods grace…….. or his love….. or his forgiveness……..
But the fact that you are still breathing…….. shows us… that he freely gives it to us … every day…….
And it doesn’t matter how…. Undone… we are when we enter…. we can still walk out clean…..….
Now lets look at Pauls experience…….
In Acts we meet a man named…. Saul of Tarsus…..……
As he was traveling from Jerusalem to Damascus to find and persecute Christians……..
As he traveled….. a bright light from heaven appeared….. and Paul fell to the ground in response to it……..
Now he didn’t realize it right away……
But Paul was being confronted by the risen and living Christ in all His glory……
Paul was temporarily blinded by the experience…… but was ultimately converted to faith in Christ…..
When He saw the ….glory…. of the Person he had been persecuting…..
Paul gave in to that glory…. with all his life….. and he became the greatest of all the apostles……
Paul’s encounter with the glory of God…. is probably… one of the most life-changing experiences…. ever recorded in the bible…….
his life changed so much…. that no-one could believe it……..
Is that how people see you …. after you gave your life to Christ…..
And then finally…. we have John…….
When John was given the opportunity to look into heaven…. he saw God on his throne…..
In Revelation chapter 1, John describes the awesome appearance of the Lord Jesus Christ……
And then says…..
“When I saw Him…… I fell at His feet as dead”…..
John’s experience was not any different….. Than the experience of anyone else when they actually got to see……. the glory of God for themselves…..
Now remember that German guy we spoke about earlier???? Rudolph Otto…….
As we look thru scripture….. we find out… he was pretty much right!
The consistent response to being in the presence of a Holy God…… is an immediate realization that… we aren’t worthy………
Job put his hand over his mouth………..
Isaiah saw his sinfulness for what it really was…..………..
Saul fell to the ground………..
And John fell down as if he were dead………..
What to you….. when you saw the holiness of God……
Or…… After seeing hearing these responses…… maybe you realize…. you never have really saw it before…………..
I am more sure than ever that ……..most of us…… has never really experienced….. the holiness of God……..
We humans…….including us Christians right???? ……. we are a profane people……..
If you have ever saw a holy God…… trust me…. You would know it……..
As we come to a close this morning…..
My question to you is….. What should we learn from these men… and their experiences… with the Holiness of GOD….
Yeah see…. what we should understand from all this is……
The Closer we get to GOD… the dirtier we realize we are……….
The more we see of Gods Holiness….. the more we see of our …. Unholiness……
Romans 3:23 says,…… “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”…….
The more we understand God’s holiness…… the more we …. HAVE to agree….. that we have fallen short of it……
As long as we fall short……. we can never expect to have fellowship with God on the basis of our own lives……
The best we can offer Him is the equivalent of what Isaiah 64 verse 6 describes as…… “filthy rags” …….
The very best that we can offer….is a filth rag……..
Yah see….. This is the ….bad news… we have to understand
before the ….good news… of the Gospel can begin to make sense…..
God’s holiness is the ………only standard……. for what is acceptable to Him……..
and we simply can’t achieve that standard on our own…..
Once we see who we are…….
compared to who God is……..
we can finally begin to understand ……the cross …..
I’m not sure we truly understand the Cross as well as we should……
God the Father……….Allowed his own son… to die on a cross…. … For us….……..
Why did He do that……….
It all has to do with holiness………
If we don’t understand holiness…………. we won’t understand the Cross…….
Christ came into the world to provide access for sinful people like us……… to a perfect…. and holy God……
If Christ had not died for our “un-holiness,”………. we would have remained in our sins and been barred ….forever……
from the presence of a holy God…
We know our sins were actually placed upon Christ…… because God……. in His holiness……..
could not even look upon His own Son on the cross…… who now carried upon Himself……… the sins of the world……..
He forsook His own Son……. in order that we might be made holy….. in Christ……. And Christ alone…..
What Jesus did on the cross was to weave a new suit of clothes for you and me to wear……
that we might be clothed with His own holiness……..
So now, when God looks at me…….. He doesn’t see my sin anymore……….
the only thing he sees….. is the holiness of His Son instead……..
That……………….. is the purpose of the Cross………….
To provide the very thing…. that the holiness of God ……..demands……….
God allowed his own son to die … alone … and shund….. by everyone… including himself….……… instead of us….………
and then ….. he then gave us Christ’s righteousness… His holiness…….. in exchange for our sinfulness…..
And then finally……
There is a definite connection between…… seeing God’s holiness……
and then the worship that we give him when we gather together as a church…..……
Psalm 99:5 says………
5 Exalt the Lord our God,
And worship at His footstool—
He………….. is…………… holy………….
You see…… Worship aint a noun….. it’s a verb….
It’s something we actively Do……… not just observe……..
All the men that we talked about this morning….. worshipped God……. when they saw His holiness…….
And when we see God’s holiness……. I guarantee …… that we will do more…. than just show up to church on Sunday……..
When you actually face God’s holiness……. Your whole life….. should become an act of worship……..
Our money…….. our jobs……… our hobbies.……. our recreation…………
Everything we have… or do……….becomes an offering of worship to Him ……..
Romans 12:1 says……..
12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God……
that you present your bodies…. a living sacrifice….. holy….. acceptable to God….. which is your reasonable service……
The fact remains that ….. We can’t be as holy as God……
No matter how hard we try we can’t be the sun………..Because we’re only a star…………..
When we begin to see God’s holiness……. it makes us long for the day when….. we will be like Him…..
Even though I will never be as holy as Christ in this life……..
The day is coming when…… As it says in 1st John chapter 3 verse 2……
“we shall be like Him…….. because we shall see Him as He is” …………
We will become as beautiful as Christ Himself…….
Do you see yourself for who you really are this morning…????
Because if you don’t….. chances are….. you’ve never really seen the …….holiness of God…..
And I beg of you this morning… don’t leave this building without experiencing GOD for yourself……
He sacrificed himself…. so that you can be like him……..
As we sing this morning.. don’t put it off……..
Don’t let another day go by…… Without seeing GOD… for who he really is…….
