Attention:
Early in February 2019, our church was given two boxes of green bananas & three cases of ‘Silk’ brand Soy Milk with an expiration date of March 10, 2019.
We announced that both were available to anyone who would want them. And hinted that they could be given to someone who might be needy.
Not all of the items were taken.
Once they are out of date they were thrown away/wasted.
We didn’t want anyone to miss out...But now it’s too late!
Judas showed by his decisions, that he was not a fan of Jesus...
Judas Iscariot was not a fan of God’s design, as it involved a personal momentous decision-based relationship with Christ Jesus as Savior & Lord.
Judas Missed vital life lessons because of his unbelieving heart attitude AND as a result, Judas Missed his life’s focus due to his physical absence from Jesus...
Judas missed the entirety of Jesus’ example & teaching which took place from the time of his prematurely leaving their gathering in the upper room(13:30; Mk. 14:15) until he arrived in the Garden of Gethsemane, with the detachment of soldiers, chief priests & Pharisees to arrest Jesus!(18:3; Mat. 27:27)—[Roman cohort(speira—the tenth part of a legion=600 soldiers)]
Need:
God’s People Practice...
*Gathering with the Church!
*Allowing God to use them despite their faults!
*Following God’s plain direction for them!
*Being an encouragement to others!
*Fulfilling their God-appointments!
...In doing so, they will never miss out on something vital & life-changing for themselves, their spouses, their children, & others! L

ETERNALLY GRACIOUS HOUSING
Explanation:(14:2)
14:2a—““In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.””
“In My Father’s house”—
God’s “house” is that which is fully directly ‘owned’, ordered, & influenced, by Him...It is where God abides in perfect security & without compromise...There He is seen & experienced as He ‘naturally(?)’ is!
Jesus’ Father has a “house” which He has intended to accommodate all others besides Himself, His Son, & His Spirit. That accommodation of others is secured by the abiding personal faith in Jesus as God’s Son, their Savior, & their Lord, King, & Master.
God’s “house” encompasses all that His perfect provision offers. Everything that is His by His desire. Every possibility of dwelling with God is contained within His “house.”
“Father’s”—pathr—Genitive Singular Masc.—1) Generator or male ancestor; 2) metaph.—2a) The originator & transmitter of anything; 3) God is called the Father. Strong—apparently a primary word; A “father”(literally or figuratively, near or more remote).
“House”—oikia—Noun Fem.—1) A house—1a) An inhabited edifice, a dwelling, 1b) The inmates of a house, the family, 1c) Property, wealth, goods. Oikia denotes one's household establishment, one's entire property. Strong—properly--Residence(abstractly), but usually concretely--An abode (literally or figuratively); by implication--A family(especially domestics).
“Mansions”—
Since the root meaning of “Mansions” stems from a word meaning ‘that which remains/stays’, it implies that God’s people will ‘remain’ with God thruout eternity!
“Mansions” translates monai, which is translated as “home”(KJV/NKJV/NIV/HCSB) or “abode”(NASB/HCSB) in :23.
FYI—Our English word “Mansions” is from the Latin loan-word—‘mansiones’ which William Tyndale translated from the Latin Vulgate.—NAC
“Mansions” is only justified here as that which is ‘implied,’ because of the reality that whatever comes from God is perfectly good & perfectly abundant!
“Mansions” can conjure up a false idea of opulence based on human greed or an American cultural association with financial ease. In this veiled life of ours, we may have ill-conceived ideas of heavenly beauty.
1Cor. 13:9-13—“For we know in part & we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
*The point is not upon lavishness but rather upon the ample space available for all, & it also probably pictures a typical extended family estate/compound surrounding a communal courtyard.—D.A. Carson/BECNT
That there ‘abodes’(“mansions”) is plural, may also speak to God’s meeting the need of individuality. Yet that individuality, when expressed thru heaven’s perfection, cannot be selfishly driven.
Ours is & will be an individuality that, at that time & place, will remain steadfastly, perfectly righteous.
1Jn. 3:2-3—“Beloved, now we are children of God; & it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.”
“Mansions/Dwelling places/Rooms/Abodes”—monh—1) A staying, abiding, dwelling, abode; 2) To make an(one's) abode; 3) metaph. Of the God the Holy Spirit indwelling believers. Strong—A staying, i.e. Residence(the act or the place). Used 2X--here & :23.?From—menw—a primary verb; To stay(in a given place, state, relation or expectancy).?Since it’s root meaning stems from that which ‘remains’ or ‘stays’, thus God’s people will ‘remain’ with God thruout eternity!
“Many”—
In Jesus’ Father’s house are not only individual abodes(“mansions”) present, but there are rather, in fact, “many” of them. Each person/saint/holy one/Christian will have ‘enough.’
In heaven there will be enough for one, & enough for all, so that one & all will have enough!
Because the home of God’s people is heaven, their abode will be eternal—never-ending. It will be within the confines of all that is pleasing to the Father(“My Father’s house”).
Currently(2018) the United Kingdom of Great Britain has around 67 million people, housed in an area roughly the size of either the state of Wisconsin or Michigan. Currently the larger state of California(~2.5X larger than Wisconsin) has a population of only around only 45million people. It’s no wonder that we see British people involved in much that the US has to offer. Running out of room.
Heaven has “many” individual abodes for the people of God. And it will continue to have as many as will choose Christ Jesus to come to heaven!
“Many”—poluv—1) Many, much, large. Strong— (singular)Much (in any respect) or (plural)Many; neuter(singular) as adverbial--Largely; neuter (plural) as adverb or noun--Often, mostly, largely.
Argumentation:
Heb. 11:10—“for he[Abraham] waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder & maker is God.”
Heb. 11:13-16—“These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them & confessed that they were strangers & pilgrims on the earth. For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.”

2Cor. 4:17-5:10—“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding & eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
