Summary: When we begin to Jesus for who He really is we will begin to come alive in Him.

Seeing Him For Who He Is

OKAY – today we begin a brand new series that I am calling, ‘Come Alive.’ In John 10:10… Jesus spoke these awesome, powerful, hopeful – life giving words…

I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.

In others words B/S Jesus left all of the glories of heaven, put on flesh and invaded our planet…

SO THAT - we (you and I) could come alive in Him.

AND - beginning today we are going to have 3 conversations that I am convinced are exactly what some of us in this room need to hear… SO THAT – we can come alive in Him.

03/25 – Seeing Him For Who He Is

04/01 - Savoring His Sacrifice and Salvation

04/08 - Striving For His Purposes.

UNDERSTAND – if we see, if we savor and we strive…

WE WILL - come alive.

AND LISTEN – life, coming alive… is what our Jesus is all about.

Just a few Scriptures to back up that claim…

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

– John 1:4

I am the bread of life. – John 6:48

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. – John 14:6

Because I live, you will live. – John 14:19

For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

– 1 Corinthians 15:22

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

– Romans 6:4

Because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

– Ephesians 2:4,5

You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. – Colossians 3:13

AND UNDERSTAND B/S – as Jesus followers, coming alive.

Fully and abundantly is how our earthly story ends and forever begins and remains…

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing rom the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city.

On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. – Revelation 22:1,2

YEAH – like I said… life and coming alive is what Jesus is all about…

AND – this morning (Palm Sunday 2018) we are going to discover that in order for us to come alive (fully and abundantly) we must see Jesus for who He is.

HOWEVER – before we go there I want to share something that I read this week… as I did my FCFH preparing for Easter readings…

Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. – John 13:17

NOW – the word translated know here is …. eido - in your head

It is not the Greek word ginosko – in your heart through personal experience

A knowing because you are actually living it out loud.

YOU SEE – there is no blessing simply for knowing stuff, even the right stuff – if it is simply stuck in our heads.

OKAY – so with eido and ginosko in mind…

I would like to remind us of the challenge that we ended our conversation ‘Not Worth Comparing’ with last week,

A challenge to leave our comfort zone and take a 6 month challenge by doing something that is in line with what God wants us to do.

Now the challenge will be different so each of us depending on where we are in our journey with Christ…

And remember I said – how do we know we are crossing the boundaries of our comfort zone… F.E.A.R.

Make a commitment to read your Bible on a regular basis and ask someone who you know is spiritually mature to hold you accountable and with whom you can share what you are learning with.

Start a prayer group at work (school) and meet once a week to pray for co-workers (fellow students), supervisors (teachers) and for God’s Kingdom to come to your workplace (school).

Start to serve consistently at church in an area that needs help and that will require both time and sacrifice (for example… Children’s Ministry or Youth).

Invite a different co-worker/neighbor…etc who does not attend church over to your home for dinner at least once a month. Look for opportunities to have spiritual conversations, but do not force it.

Serve at least once a month in a local ministry - salvation army, local food bank, crisis pregnancy center…etc.

Join a Life Group at Maple Grove and attend consistently.

Determine what 10% of your income is and begin to give it consistently to the church.

Pick out a location where you can go on a short term mission trip and do all that is necessary to make it happen.

Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. – John 13:17

OKAY – let’s do this… week one of Come Alive, “Seeing Him For Who He Is..”

The first point in your notes is…

I. Seeing Him As Worthy

We read in John 12 beginning at verse 1…

Six days before the Passover celebration began, Jesus arrived in Bethany, the home of Lazarus—the man he had raised from the dead. 2 A dinner was prepared in Jesus’ honor. Martha served, and Lazarus was among those who ate with him.

3 Then Mary took a twelve-ounce jar of expensive perfume made from essence of nard, and she anointed Jesus’ feet with it, wiping his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance.

4 But Judas Iscariot, the disciple who would soon betray him, said, 5 “That perfume was worth a year’s wages. It should have been sold and the money given to the poor.” 6 Not that he cared for the poor—he was a thief, and since he was in charge of the disciples’ money, he often stole some for himself.

7 Jesus replied, “Leave her alone. She did this in preparation for my burial. 8 You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me.”

9 When all the people heard of Jesus’ arrival, they flocked to see him and also to see Lazarus, the man Jesus had raised from the dead. 10 Then the leading priests decided to kill Lazarus, too, 11 for it was because of him that many of the people had deserted them and believed in Jesus. – John 12:1-11

Prayer

Jesus was in Bethany (a small village about 2 miles east of Jerusalem) He was there with Mary, Martha, Lazarus and His disciples and according to Matthew 26 they are meeting in the home of a man named Simon the Leper (probably because the home of Lazarus, Mary and Martha was too small).

AND - this group of people had gathered this night, for one reason, to have a dinner in honor of Jesus.

YOU SEE - the days before this dinner had been days full of turmoil, energy and excitement… All of which were bringing the ministry of Jesus to it's dramatic climax.

I MEAN - only a few days earlier Jesus had raised Lazarus from the dead, calling him forth from the tomb after 4 days, and speaking these powerful words of encouragement…

25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” – John 11:25,26

UNDERSTAND - the news of this miracle spread and many people put their faith in Jesus because of it…

NOW - the Jewish leaders however had a very different reaction to the miracle and the growing popularity of Jesus, we read in John 11 that they called an emergency meeting of the Sanhedrin (the Jewish ruling body) and they said…

If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our temple and our nation. – John 11:48

AND SO - the High Priest and his minions decided that it was to their best interest to kill Jesus, rather than let him ruin everything that they cherished and had worked so hard for. And the scripture says,

So from that day on they plotted to take his life. – John 11:53

YOU SEE - after 3 years of preaching, teaching, healing, loving, caring and upsetting the status quo of the religious elite…

Jesus’ ministry had reached the boiling point.

UNDERSTAND - there were people who loved Him, believed in Him and chose to follow Him…

AND - there were also people (especially the religious) who hated Him and wanted to see Him dead.

AND LISTEN - everyone regardless of which side they stood on knew that something was going to happen, they knew that some thing had to give, even though they were not quit sure what that something would be.

YES - the clock was ticking and the time was now at hand.

BUT - that's tomorrow and this is tonight.

AND TONIGHT - Jesus is spending time and sharing a meal with His closest and dearest friends before His final week begins.

It is kind of the first last supper…

NOW - they are reclined at a table, actually 3 tables arranged like a horse shoe. Those at the table would be leaning on their right arm and eating with their left. Their feet would be pointing out away from the table.

Martha who was serving would serve from the middle area of the tables. AND WHILE - they were there reclining at the table Mary the sister of Lazarus…

TOOK - an alabaster jar filled with expensive perfume,

WALKED - over to Jesus,

BROKE OPEN - the jar, filling the room with the aroma. And then she anointed the feet of Jesus, drying his feet with the only towel that she had brought, her hair.

NOW - Judas who knew the price of everything but the value of nothing, seeing what Mary had done and smelling the expensive perfume said,

That perfume was worth a year’s wages. It should have been sold and the money given to the poor. - John 12:5

And according to the other Gospel accounts, the disciples joined in agreement… “why this waste”

UNDERSTAND - not only was it decision making time for the Jewish leaders who were plotting to kill Jesus (the scribes, priests and Pharisees)… BUT IT - was also decision for those who are in that very room, that is now filled with the aroma of expensive perfume.

AND LISTEN - the reactions and actions, taken that night will reveal just what they really thought of Jesus, and who they really saw Him as.

NOW – Mary obviously saw Him as worthy… worthy of everything. But at least that night she was the only one.

UNDERSTAND…

Judas… did not see Jesus for who He is…

YOU SEE - somewhere during the years that Judas spent with Jesus, and we can't pinpoint the exact time and perhaps it was a gradual thing…

But one thing we do know is that it happened, and the plain and ugly truth is that Judas gave up on Jesus.

NOW - there has been much speculation over the years about why Judas rejected Jesus. I think Judas rejected Jesus for the same reason that the Jewish leaders rejected Jesus, He was not the Messiah that they wanted.

YOU SEE – Judas was looking for the same thing they were, an earthy kingdom… AND HE - was hungering for all the power he would one day have as the Treasurer of the new Jewish World Empire.

HOWEVER - as time moved on and Judas spent more time with Jesus, it became clear to Judas that his dreams would never come true. Jesus would never over throw the Roman Empire, and Judas would never have the wealth and power he craved. IN FACT - as he sat at the meal that night, he had already begun making a deal with the Jewish leaders, for the betrayal of Jesus.

So when Judas saw all that money being thrown away he was furious, why waste so much on Jesus, on just a man.

AND LISTEN - if Judas was right, if Jesus was not the Son of God, if Jesus was not who he said he was…

THEN -what Mary did was a waste.

I MEAN - if Judas was right then even to use dirty dish water to wash Jesus' feet would have been a waste.

YOU SEE - Judas's response to Jesus was Complete Rejection, That is why to Him what Mary did was a waste, because Jesus was not worthy of it.

And like I mentioned earlier… Matthew and Luke tells us that not only did Judas not see Jesus for who He is

But neither did the other disciples who also said ‘why this waste’

YEAH - Judas sang the verse and the disciples joined in on the chorus.

Why?

BECAUSE - the disciples at this time in their life (did not see Jesus for who is)… And were therefore just practical men of Moderate Devotion.

I MEAN… LIKE – these guys were so on again and off again, YEAH - their devotion to Jesus was like a roller coaster ride.

NOW - at least with Judas you know where he stands, these guys however… leave us constantly wondering what they really think, and how they really see Jesus.

YES - they said the same thing as Judas, "Why This Waste?"

BUT THEY - said it for different reasons.

Judas said it because he had rejected Jesus, and now he wanted to get what money he could, before this sinking ship finally went under.

The disciples on the other hand said it was a waste because they thought they were being practical and they believed they had a very good reason to act as they did.

AND - their devotion to Jesus was Moderate at Best.

Let's honor JESUS But let's not get silly about it

Let's anoint JESUS but not with expensive stuff

Let's serve JESUS but let's not be crazy about it

YOU KNOW – this attitude, this mindset...still exists today.

YEAH – there are still people who want to be in the room with Jesus, reclining at the table with Him… But who still do not see Him for who he really is…

Who like the disciples, when they see ‘Mary Like’ devotion they don't get it... And they too shout "why the waste"

You mean you gave up a job promotion that would have doubled your salary, because it would take you away from the church too much... why that's a waste look at the extra money you could have made to help people.

You bought a new (TV, furniture, appliance\) and gave it to the church, It would have been just as good to buy yourself a new one and let the church have your old one. I mean, your old one is better than nothing.

And many within the church sing this song, I'm just not going to let the church take up too much of my life... I'll go sometimes but I'm not going to get silly about it..

AGAIN - what Judas did though wrong still made sense, but what the disciples did by responding with moderate devotion, doesn't make any sense at all.

UNDERSTAND B/S - it makes sense to be for Jesus and it makes sense (in a way) to be against Jesus but it makes no sense to ride the fence, to only go part way, to be lukewarm, to live in Laodicea.

And besides if we try to, Jesus may just spit us out of His mouth.

AND THEN - there is Mary…

I MEAN - Jesus had been trying for 3 years to teach his disciples about how His death was connected with the Kingdom, but they could not understand, they could not make sense of it…

MOSTLY BECAUSE - it did not fit into their concept of what the Kingdom was supposed to be… of how it was supposed to play out in their lives… BUT – Mary got it.

YOU KNOW - many times woman see things before man do.

IN FACT – they are generally much more perceptive than men are. FOR EXAMPLE - a woman can see the problems in their marriage long before the husband even knows there is anything wrong. AND - not only do women see the problems and can tell you what is wrong, but they can usually tell you what needs to happen to fix it.

AGAIN - Mary could see what Judas and the disciples could not see… Mary could see the connection between the Kingdom and Jesus' death.

AND WHAT - Mary did with that jar of perfume was the perfect thing to do. NOW – as we look back on this event with the cross behind us, we can also see that it was the perfect thing to do. BUT MARY - she knew it then. That's why when the men in the room criticized, her Jesus said the following as recorded in Matthew 26:10-13;

Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 11 The poor you will always have with you,[a] but you will not always have me. 12 When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. 13 Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.”

AND – here we are doing just that, right?

YES MARY – saw Jesus for who He is…

The Christ, the Son of living God.

AND SHE KNEW - what Jesus was doing.

SHE KNEW - that death awaited her Lord when he rode into Jerusalem the next morning...

And she knew he was dying for her.

AND – Mary wanted to do something for Jesus, she wanted to do something that would express to Him her great love. She wanted to do something for Jesus while she still had the opportunity to do so.

AND SO - Mary took the most expensive thing she had and alabaster jar of expensive perfume, worth a years wages (how much do you make in a year).

And she knelt down at the feet of her Lord, breaking open the jar anointing his feet, then Mary took her hair which Paul's say's in I Corinthians 11:15, "is a woman's crown and glory" and she dried the feet of Jesus with her hair.

UNDERSTAND…

For Mary, no sacrifice was too costly......

YES…

For Mary, who wiped Jesus hair with her feet, no service was too demeaning.

QUESTION - why would Mary do this?

I MEAN - isn't it a little bit extreme to pour a whole jar of expensive perfume on someone's dirty feet??

And isn't it degrading and demeaning to wash someone's feet, And surely it is going just a bit to far to dry his feet with her hair?

WELL - If Judas was right (and Jesus was not who He said he was) then to even wash the feet of Jesus with dirty dish water would have been a waste.

BUT LISTEN - if Mary was right IF Jesus is the Son of God AND that he LOVED US ENOUGH TO PUT ON HUMAN FLESH AND TO DIE FOR OUR SINS AND THE sins of the world.

If Mary was right, then even if some how she was able to gather UP all of the wealth and all of the riches of the entire world, AND PUT IT IN THAT JAR AND POUR THAT ON THE FEET OF JESUS IT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN A WASTE!!!!!!!!!

WE CAN'T GIVE TOO MUCH TO JESUS

YOU CAN'T DO TOO MUCH FOR JESUS!!

AND WHEN WE SEE HIM FOR WHO HE IS…

WE WILL SEE HIM AS WORTHY

OF ALL WE HAVE - AND OF ALL WE ARE.

This passage has been a special passage to me for several years, I first discovered the awesome truth of this passage during my Bible college years. And it has remained a very special to me until this day.

I need this passage,

I need to be reminded often of the truth of this passage.

I need to hold it close, ingrained on my mind and burned on to my heart.

And during those times when the Christian walk gets tough..

WHEN - you feel like your spinning you wheels,

WHEN - people get you down and disappoint you,

WHEN – your best effort seems to go without results,

WHEN - you try and try and seem to be getting no where...

WHEN you feel like throwing in the towel,

WHEN you feel like dropping out of the race,

WHEN you feel like you can't give any more,

WHEN you feel used abused and unappreciated...

JUST REMEMBER......

• JESUS IS WORTH IT!!

• JESUS IS WITH YOUR TIME!!

• JESUS IS WORTH YOUR EFFORT!!

• JESUS IS WORTH ALL THE PAIN AND THE FRUSTRATION!

NOTHING WE EVER DO FOR THE GLORY AND HONOR OF JESUS, IS EVER A WASTE...

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. – 1 Corinthians 15:58

NOW – if you are pouring yourself out for anything other than Him is a waste and it will usually leave us feeling very empty.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. – 1 Corinthians 15:58

II. Seeing Him As The Promised Savior King

NOW - it wasn’t long before word of Jesus being in Bethany in the home of Simon the Leper (along with Lazarus) reached Jerusalem.

AND - thousands of people quickly left the city in an excited state to see Jesus.

So Jesus sets out from Bethany heading towards God’s holy City, and when he arrived in Bethphage on the Mount of Olives he called 2 of his disciples to Him ....

“Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 31 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ tell him, ‘The Lord needs it.’” – Luke 19:30,31

SO - the 2 left the large group and headed for the village just up the dirt road. I wonder which two went?

Peter? James? Andrew? Matthew?

AND - what do you think they talked about on the way?

Do you think they wondered that with such a large crowd everywhere, that it would be impossible to find a donkey and a colt tied up?

Do you think they were asking each other, "do you really think we should just untie the colt and take it?"

BUT - as they were talking they looked up ahead and saw the colt and her mother tied up, just as Jesus had said. So they untied both (having the mom their would keep the colt from freaking out when Jesus rode her)…

AND - as they were leaving the owner came out (probably a little on edge with the passover taking place... the noise, the crowd walking by his house-- day and night. Much like people who live right next to a stadium during a big game... He was probably keeping a close vigil to make sure his property was safe),

The owner said to them, "hey what are you 2 guys doing with my colt and donkey" -- And the disciples replied as Jesus had told them, ‘The Lord needs it.’” And they left with the colt and her mother.

NOW JESUS - could have walked into Jerusalem on that Sunday morning nearly 2,000 years ago, but he rode on the colt of a donkey (which was as a respected animal back then and it was what a king road on when he wanted people to know that he came he peace)..

AND - UNDERSTAND – in doing this Jesus was making a direct claim that He was the promised Messiah, the Savior King…

For the prophet Zechariah hundreds of years earlier, wrote in Zechariah 9:9,

Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

NOW - earlier thousands (after the feeding of the 5,000) wanted to make Jesus "King" but Jesus withdrew from them because it was not the right time.

AND – many times we see Jesus telling people to keep the miracle he just did on the down low.

YES - for nearly 33 years Jesus had tried to stay out the lime light, on the down low… because it was not yet His time.

That is as much as possible, when you are….

BUT NOW - His time has come (the tree is ripe) and Jesus announces that He is indeed the King, but not according to the plan of man, but rather according to the plan of God, as revealed by his prophets in His Word.

UNDERSTAND – Jesus was the Messiah predicted by the prophets, but not the Messiah expected by the people.

JESUS - enters Jerusalem royally. Jesus enters Jerusalem freely, He is not a victim -- he is not a prisoner. Jesus did not hide and He did not hurry. Jesus did it His way and on His time schedule.. And Jesus was not afraid. He did not try to secretly slip into the city. Jesus acted deliberately and with purpose as he rode into the city, making His claim to be both King and Savior.

AND UNDERSTAND – Jesus knew his enemies would be watching when he rode into town and he wanted them to see Him being treated like a king. It was as if he was saying to them, "Look, I know you’re going to drag me into court and treat me like a criminal, but before you do, I want you to take one more look at the real me. I want you to have one more chance to step out and join the parade..."

YOU SEE - the time had come for the great struggle to begin and end. It was high noon...

The hour had arrived for the world/mankind to make the ultimate decision, (to either acknowledge her ruler or to renounce Him). The time had come for Jesus to fight the great battle with, satan, sin and death...

YES THE MOMENT - was at hand for Jesus to finish the work that the father had sent him to do (the work of redemption). The time had come for the King to claim His rightful throne.

BUT LISTEN - not only was Jesus announcing His Kingship, he was also announcing the character of His Kingdom... UNDERSTAND - Jesus did not claim his kingdom in the way that the world would expect.... He did not ride in on a white stallion arrayed in fine attire, surrounded by a mighty army. Rather he rode in on a beast of burden...

AND - His army was an unorganized mob of: fishermen, farmers and shepherds...

FOR – you see the Kingdom Jesus was establishing, as he told Pilate, was a Kingdom not of this world... It was not a physical Kingdom, but a spiritual Kingdom, not a temporary Kingdom but an eternal Kingdom.

Jesus is riding towards the Holy city, surround by thousands of people. With every step the excitement and energy reached higher epic proportions... It was like a volcano that had suddenly erupted with tremendous power after weeks and months of shaking and smoking....

AND THE PEOPLE - after waiting months for Jesus to make his claim... Now they see him making it. And their joy and emotion erupted and it’s fall out was flowing down the winding road from Bethany to Jerusalem.

MATTHEW SAYS - that the whole city was stirred... The word Matthew uses here that is translated stirred is "seismos", which means quaking, trembling... where we derive our word seismograph.

UNDERSTAND – a city swelled to nearly 1 million was exploding with excitement, it was an emotional earthquake. Jesus was surround by thousands who were following him... AND - thousands more as he neared the city, came rushing out to meet him...

YES…

THE ONE - everyone was talking about,

THE ONE - that had performed mighty miracles.

THE ONE - everyone was hoping would show up, was here!

It was crazy! It was insane! It was loud!

AND SUDDENLY – this crowd of thousands began taking off their coats and laying them on the road on… which was a political gesture, identifying Jesus as their King (2 Kings 9:13, Jehu)…

THEN PEOPLE – begin climbing some of the palm trees that lined the road Jesus was riding on - cutting off branches to throw down for Him to ride upon.

STILL OTHERS - waved the palm branches back and forth.

Palm branches are a symbol of victory and restoration.

AND LISTEN - these people felt that victory and restoration was riding right before their eyes on a colt...

AND THEY - were right, but they were wrong about how it would happen.

AND AS JESUS – crests the Mt of Olives which stands 2600’ above, overlooking the city and the temple…

THIS HUGE CROWD – erupts with the sounds of praises, singing and shouting...

Hosanna (which means, save us now)

Hosanna to the Son of David

Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord

Hosanna in the highest

Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David

Peace in heaven and Glory in the highest

Blessed is the king of Israel

Hosanna

UNDERSTAND – Jesus is making His claim that He is the promised Savior King!

AS – fulfills Zechariah 9:9

Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

AND – also Zephaniah 3:14-17

Sing, Daughter Zion; shout aloud, Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, Daughter Jerusalem!

The LORD has taken away your punishment, he has turned back your enemy.

And the LORD himself, the King of Israel will live among you!

At last your troubles will be over, and you will never again fear disaster.

On that day the announcement to Jerusalem will be, “Cheer up, Zion! Don’t be afraid! For the LORD your God is living among you.

He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness.

With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.

UNDERSTAND – when we see Jesus for who He is…

WE SEE – that He is the promised Savior King…

B/S – He came to save us… He can save us. He has saved us.

And as the King is salvation is certain and sure…

AND – something as Zephaniah declared is worth shouting loud about and rejoicing and being glad in…

LISTEN… It is a salvation where our Savior King

• Takes away our punishment

• Turns back our enemy

• Takes away our troubles

• Clams our fear with His love

• Where He comes to live among us

• Where He delights in us with gladness

• And rejoices over us with joyful songs

Talk about good news.

Yes we desperately needed a Savior and Jesus is that Savior!

Amen.

AND LISTEN – when we see Jesus for who He is…

We let Him be who He is in our lives.

Our Savior.

B/S – we need to embrace Him as our Savior, accept Him as our Savior, live in and from His salvation.

Rest – trust - in His salvation

YES – hen we see Jesus for who He is we see Him as our promised Savior King, WHO…..

B/S – this Easter Season Jesus wants you to COME ALIVE like never before…

AND LISTEN – we will come alive if…

We see Him for who he is…

If we see Him as worthy

IF we see Him as our promised Savior King

NOW – you and I missed that first Palm Sunday, but listen there is another one coming and I plan on being there…

After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:

“Salvation belongs to our God,

who sits on the throne,

and to the Lamb.”

11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:

“Amen!

Praise and glory

and wisdom and thanks and honor

and power and strength

be to our God for ever and ever.

Amen!”
