Summary: God wants us completely sanctified so that you may be holy, used and filled with His Spirit so that He may use you to win others.

Pray for Sanctification

1Thess 5:23-24 "May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it."

I. God wants us completely sanctified

A. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless

B. God who saved us will do it. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it."

II. You cannot be sanctified if you are not saved.

A. The salvation, which we entered into through faith in Christ, is the first step to sanctified.

1. It does include our eventual sanctification,

2. It is our freedom from sinful attitudes and behavior unto a life of godliness.

3. Why? So we can be in service to the Lord.

III. God's will for us Christians is our sanctification.

A. 1 Thessalonians 4:3 (KJV) 3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

B. That you know how to live a sanctified life. 4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

C. But sanctification is not just God's will for us.

1. It is His purpose for choosing. Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

2. We are called to make every effort to this end

IV. This is God’s Will for us.

A. 2 Peter 3:14 (KJV) Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

B. Philippians 2:15 (KJV) That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
