Summary: There is a place in the spirit that has been prepared for every child of God, but few will make the journey into the miraculous.

This is the word of the Lord that I heard. "Journey to the miraculous."

Ok Lets look at our text:

2 Kings 2:1-15 KJVS

[1] And it came to pass, when the Lord would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal. [2] And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the Lord hath sent me to Beth-el. And Elisha said unto him, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth-el. [3] And the sons of the prophets that were at Beth-el came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it ; hold ye your peace. [4] And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the Lord hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho. [5] And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it ; hold ye your peace. [6] And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the Lord hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on. [7] And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan. [8] And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground. [9] And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. [10] And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless , if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so . [11] And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. [12] And Elisha saw it , and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. [13] He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan; [14] And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over. [15] And when the sons of the prophets which f were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

This is what I heard in my spirit. God is taking us on a journey, and this journey is into the realm of the Supernatural and the miraculous. I also heard the Holy Spirit say that on this journey we cannot be distracted, we cannot look to the left or the right, we cannot allow our attention to be drawn aside, to be taken off the prize.

We are on a journey, a journey to the miraculous.

Note that I said "the miraculous" not a miracle or miracles; but the realm of the miraculous. "Dominion dimension".

In reality it is the place that God has prepared for every one of his children.

We all like to think of a place that's prepared for us; a place that has been made ready, to receive us. But sometimes we ignore the fact that we must also be prepared for the place; in other words processed.

In this respect I'm not really speaking about heaven; I'm speaking about the life that is ordained for the child of God.This life is a life of the supernatural. We were created to live a supernatural life.

The life that is in us is a supernatural life.

"But if the Spirit of him that raised up Christ from the dead dwell in you;then he that raised up Jesus from the dead, shall also quicken your mortalbodies by his Spirit which dwelleth in you" Romans 8:11.

We were born for the supernatural.

I really feel in my spirit today that we are in a critical time in the body of Christ, and that we must rise up and claim our spiritual heritage and our Birthright of the supernatural. We are at war in this nation and I'm not talking about physical war, I'm talking about spiritual warfare. Our battle is not with flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, rulers of darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in highplaces, (see Ephesians 6:12).

This battle cannot be fought with natural physical weapons; It must be fought with spiritual weapons. It must be fought in the realm of the spirit. It's not by might nor by power but by my spirit says the Lord.

"Greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world" 1 John 5:4.

"Behold I give unto you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you" Luke 10:19.

"In my name shall you cast out devils you shall speak with new tongues, you shall take up serpents, if you drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt you, and you should lay your hands on the sick and they shall recover" Mark 16:17–18.

The early Church knew that if they were going to have any impact on their culture and their society, they had to have Supernatural power operating in their lives.

And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy Word, by stretching forththine hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done by the nameof thy holy Child Jesus" Acts 4:29-30.

And the Bible says: Verse 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the Word of God with boldness.

Then look at Verse 12, And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people.

Now lets look back at our introduction. Elijah was not just casually by random going to these cities. It was strategic planning and process. Elijah knew that his time was almost up; he knew that Elisha was to succeed him. Up until this point Elisha had seen the miraculous and the supernatural, but he had not done the supernatural or the miraculous.

Elijah knew that in order for Elisha to succeed him he had to become personally acquainted with the miraculous.

Gilgal means rolling, Hill of foreskins.

It was the place where the old is taken away. the cutting away of the flesh. The rolling away of the reproach (see Joshua ch 5:3).

Bethel means, the house of God. House of bread.

Bethel is where Jacob saw the vision of the ladder between heaven and earth and angels ascending and descending on it. He called it the house of God, the gate of heaven. So Bethel means, communion and fellowship with God. It speaks of intimacy and relationship with God.

Jericho means, fragrance and speaks of the fragrance of living by faith, overcoming by faith. Example: By faith the walls of Jericho came down after they were compassed about seven days.

Jordan means, descender. We even speak of the river of Jordan as death. But it means much more than that. Jordan represents a dividing line.

I believe that it is the very line we stand at today in the body of Christ. It is the dividing line between flesh and Spirit. So Jordan represents the place where you either step into the supernatural or you sink in the flesh.

They say that it was at the Jordan river where the axe head started swimming.

It was at the Jordan where Naaman would either die of Leprosy or be miraculously healed.

It was the Jordan that supernaturally divided as the barefoot priest bearing the ark of God stepped into the water.

Jordan is the Place where the supernatural becomes natural. In otherwords: it's the place where you begin to live a supernatural lifestyle.

As I said, Elijah was taking Elisha on a journey to the miraculous.

Elijah smites the Jordan with his mantle and it divides. As they walked and talked together chariots and horses of fire and a whirlwind separate between Elijah and Elisha. Up until that time nothing could separate Elisha from Elijah. It took the Supernatural.

Remember, Jordan is the proving ground.

Jordan is where you find out:

*If you've been listening, if you've been watching.

*If you've developed your own personal communion and relationship with the Lord.

*Jordan is where we find out, have you learned how to walk by faith and not by sight.

*Jordan is the place of transition; it’s where Elijah left, and where Elisha is stepping into the Dominion dimension.

Now it's just Elisha and God. This is the place where we all have to come to.

Ultimately its about your relationship with God.

Now Elijah is swept up into heaven. Elisha picks up Elijahs mantle, 50 sons of the prophet are watching to see...

See what? To see if Elisha was qualified to wear Elijahs mantle. That mantle represented Elijahs relationship with God. It represented his supernatural life.

*Elijah raised the dead.

*Elijah called fire down from heaven.

*Elijah caused the rain to cease for 3 1/2 years. Then he turned the faucet back on.

*Elijah called fire down from heaven upon the kings soldiers.

*Elijah parted the Jordan.

*Elijah went to heaven in a whirlwind of fire.

Now the journey has reached its destination.

Elisha, you had many chances to turn around. You didn't have to come to this place. You could have settled down at Gilgal, or Bethel, or Jericho; they were all good places. But you wanted more, you wanted everything.

You wanted the same power operating in your life that you saw in Elijahs.

Now Elisha has the mantle. But does he have the power?

He has the position, but does he have the power?

The sons of the prophets watched from a distance. What is Elisha going to do?

I'm of the persuasion that Elisha could have walked on that day and left that mantle on the ground. but he picked up the mantle and went back to the same river he had just walked across which had closed back behind them. And he struck it with Elijahs mantle, and when he did he graduated into the supernatural. He stepped into the supernatural miraculous dimension of God.

The Jordan waters parted and he walked across as though he was strolling down the street. The 50 sons of the prophets recognized immediately. Elisha doesn't just walk like Elijah. He doesn't just have his mannerisms. He doesn't just sound like Elijah. He is now walking where Elijah walked "in the supernatural".

They said: The spirit of Elijah doth now rest upon Elisha.

Beloved, thats the journey we're on here. Are you ready for that?

I mean do you want that?

Are you willing to say yes to God; that you want to walk and live in the supernatural and the miraculous?

If thats you just lift your hands and tell God you want everything He has for you.

Tell Him that you are ready to take this journey into the miraculous.
