Colossians 1:27

To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Other translations puts it this way :

God did this because he wanted you Gentiles to understand his wonderful and glorious mystery. And the mystery is that Christ lives in you, and he is your hope of sharing in God’s glory. CEV

The mystery that Paul is revealing to us is that we have Christ Himself living in us and He is the hope of God's glory.

Christ abides in us and we need to always acknowledge His presence in us at all times. When we have Him in our lives He comes to live in us.

At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

This mystery was hidden for a long time but it as now been revealed to us all. And this was revealed to us because it was God's will to manifest His Son to us. The finished work of Jesus is the reason that God made the mystery known to us.

Christ in us is the hope of glory is so powerful and it comes with a lot of benefits, there is a purpose of Christ been in us, Christ is in us and He is there to reveal his power in us and through us.

The meaning of sanctification is the act or process of acquiring sanctity. of being made or becoming holy. It is a gift given through the power of God to a person or thing which is then considered sacred or set apart in an official capacity within the religion.

God has set us apart and wants us to live a life that will abstain from sexual immorality because our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

God is in us and working in us what He as planned for us to do and through this we are made complete to His glory.

Proverbs 3: 5 -6

And lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths.

God's will is that we are to trust Him with all our heart in every situation of our lives.

Christ in us the hope of glory will cause our body to be healed, why?

Because Christ living in me is the light of the world and His WORD records that light and darkness cannot comprehend each other, therefore anything to do with darkness like sickness, disease, poverty, pain cannot abide in children of light and this is the hope of His glory in us.

When Christ is in us as the hope of glory it causes us to have His nature and ability in us.

What is the nature of God?

- Holy

- Love

- Goodness

His ability in us will give us His power to do exploits:

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Christ in us the hope of glory makes us new creations in Him as recorded in 2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

I am now a new creation because Christ lives in me, the old things in my spirit man is now new.

Christ in us the hope of glory will not allow sin to have dominion as written in Romans 6:14.

The favor of God is also His glory

Isaiah 58:11

The Lord will guide you continually,

And satisfy your soul in drought,

And strengthen your bones;

You shall be like a watered garden,

And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

Psalm 5:12

For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous;

With favor You will surround him as with a shield.

Matthew 6: 31 -33

Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

The peace of God is part of His glory:

Colossians 3:15

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

The anointing of God is also His glory in us.

Hebrews 1:9

You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;

Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You

With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.

Isaiah 61:1

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,

Because the Lord has anointed Me

To preach good tidings to the poor;

He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to the captives,

And the opening of the prison to those who are bound.

1 John 2:27

But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

Christ in us the hope of glory is His wisdom in us.

Proverbs 4: 6 -7

Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you;

Love her, and she will keep you.

Wisdom is the principal thing;

Therefore get wisdom.

And in all your getting, get understanding.

Colossians 2: 2 - 3

That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

The contemporary version puts it this way.

I do it to encourage them. Then as their hearts are joined together in love, they will be wonderfully blessed with complete understanding. And they will truly know Christ. Not only is he the key to God’s mystery, but all wisdom and knowledge are hidden away in him.

James 3: 17

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

Christ in us the hope of glory.

In 1 Corinthians 1: 3 says because Christ is in us the hope of glory we have His wisdom, righteousness, holiness and redemption.

Let's look at the example of Moses who asked to see God's glory in Exodus 33: 18-23.

And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.”

Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.” And the Lord said, “Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock. So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.”

Moses wanted to see God's glory, we need to also ask God to show us His glory it's not meant for Moses alone. We are the children of God and we need His glory to manifest in our lives. The glory is His mercy and compassion as well.

2 Corinthians 3;18 records this about His glory.

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. NKJV

We all, with unveiled faces, are looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit. CSB

So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. NLT

In Christ the veil as been removed, and we can see much better and as we see we are reflecting the glory of the Lord - who is the Spirit and we are going from glory to glory making us more like Jesus and been changed into his glorious image.

Christ in us the hope of glory transforms us daily as we put our trust in Him, the WORD changes us as well.

The mystery that was hidden is now revealed which is Christ in us the hope of glory.

The hope of our glory is our:

Salvation, Healing, Deliverance, Strength, Prosperity, and Preservation.

Christ came to make His abode in us, not in animals or in a stone. It;s a privilege to have Christ in us and He that is in us is greater than he that is in the world.
