The Cross!
Galatians 6:14 (KJV) But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
A few statements about the Cross
Jesus was crucified, not in a cathedral between two candles, but on a cross between two thieves.
There are no crown-wearers in heaven who were not cross- bearers here below.
We need men of the cross, with the message of the cross, bearing the marks of the cross.
Christ's cross is a burden as sails are to a ship or wings to a bird.
He came to pay a debt He didn't owe because we owed a debt we couldn't pay.
The old cross killed men; the new cross gives life. The old cross condemned; the new cross offers life. The old cross destroyed; the new cross offers repair and healing.
All heaven is interested in the cross of Christ, all hell is terribly afraid of it, while men are the only beings who more or less ignore its meaning.
The cross: God's way of uniting suffering with love.
We love the old chorus;
At the Cross’
At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light
And the burden of my heart rolled away
It was there by faith I received my sight
And now I am happy all the day
Jesus overcame hell, death and the grave.
HE IS ALIVE! Because He lives we can live also.
Let us take our cross and follow Him!
