Once again Hollywood has tried to bring down God to our level with a new show coming on you TV soon, called GOD FRIENDED ME.
This is the write up for this show
God Friended Me is a humorous, uplifting drama about an outspoken atheist whose life is turned upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from God and unwittingly becomes an agent of change in the lives and destinies of others around him.
Miles Finer is intelligent, hopeful and optimistic, but he doesn't believe in God. This puts him at odds with his father, Reverend Arthur Finer, a beloved preacher at Harlem's Trinity Church for 25 years who is stun by his son's strong rejection of his faith.
Miles feels he's found his purpose in life hosting a podcast where he's free to speak his mind, but that changes when he receives the ultimate friend request.
After repeated pokes by God, Miles' curiosity takes over, and he accepts the request and follows the signs to Cara Bloom, an online journalist suffering from writer's block.
Brought together by the "God Account," the two find themselves investigating God's friend suggestions and inadvertently helping others in need.
Joining them on their journey are Miles's supportive sister, Ali, a doctoral psych student by day and bartender by night, and his best friend, Rakesh, a sometime hacker who helps Miles and Cara research the mysterious account. Miles is set on getting to the bottom of what he believes is an elaborate hoax, but in the meantime he'll play along and, in the process, change his life forever.
I have and will continue to say this Hollywood has no interests in the Spiritual condition of anyone only what lines their pocketbooks.
But some will watch and go to “Christian Movies” and not even think of how much money they spend.
But when the preacher speaks the truth about money in church many have the attitude all the preacher wants is money.
Will I mentioned 2 of the four M that preachers stay away from if they want to draw a crowd.
MOVIES – MONEY SO I MIGHT AS WELL JUST MENTION THE OTHERS. MUSIC – MOBLE DEVICES.
With all this said I would like for you to preach on this topic with the power and the presence of the Holy Spirit on GOD FRIENDED ME.

PRAYER
I. God has Friended Me
And by the way God has friended each and every one here this morning!
No not on social media but God Friended me some 2000 years ago!!!!

Some 2000 years ago God sent his only begotten Son JESUS to this earth for one reason and one reason alone.
LUKE 19:10
You see Jesus who is all God added to His divine nature human nature and left the splendor of heaven to come to a sin cursed earth, to pay my sin debt and your sin debt.
Because everyone in this auditorium we are all sinners.
ROMANS 5:12
When Adam sinned in the garden it was not the fruit it was his disobedience to God!!
And when Adam disobeyed God his sin separated him from God.
When I was born into this world I was born a sinner. I am a sinner by birth and by choice!!

Two types of sinners Saved sinners and lost sinners. You are one or the other.

But God Friended Me.
Not only me but everyone here.

II. Why did God do this?
A. Because He loves me and he loves you!!

Jesus did not tell me He loved me on social media or a TV show or Movie. He showed me how much He loved me by willing dying for me and shedding His royal sinless blood for me and you.

Jesus knew before He even came to earth the pain and suffering He was going to have to go through and He still came and went to the cross and bore my sins and your sins in His sinless body all because He loved me and He loves you.
B. JESUS HAS SHOWN US HIS LOVE BY TAKING MY PLACE ON THE CROSS
PHILIPPIANS 2:8
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
YOU SEE GOD FRIENDED ME AND HE HAS FRIENDED YOU THIS MORNING.
The question has never been does God love me, because He showed how much He loved me.

Then the question has to be asked
III. Have you excepted JESUS' payment for your sin
Have you excepted Jesus’ Love
Have you excepted Jesus’ Friend request?

On November 10, 1978 something great happen to me – something that changed my life for the good. I made the greatest decision I have ever made.
I received Jesus’ payment for my sin – His Love for me – in essence Jesus’ Friend request.
Now a have a Friend the sticketh closer than a Friend.
I have a friend that will never leave me nor forsake me.
I have a living Savior
My Friend Jesus’ could be your friend today right now. Right here but it is your decision you have to make.
Do not put it off because we do not know how long we will be here.

And maybe you are here and you have received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, but you have stained your friendship by straying away.
Satan is telling you that Jesus does not love you, why try to restore the Friendship you once had.
Proverbs 17:17
A FRIEND LOVETH AT ALL TIMES.
Will you come this morning and restore your Friendship with your Savior.
You are one prayer away from restoring your Friendship with your Savior.
JESUS IS HERE WAITING FOR YOU TO RECEIVE HIS FRIEND REQUEST.
SAVED PERSON JESUS IS HERE READY TO RESTORE YOUR FRIENDSHIP.
